I think Anderson might already be on the sinking ship. What the heck did he just say? We’re doing nation building but we’re not doing nation building? It works because it builds governments and public services that serve people and it doesn’t work b/c it doesn’t do any of the aforementioned projects. Hey Africa, I think he was trying to imply that the Obama administration doesn’t like to admit publicly that it’s conducting nation building in Afghanistan but secretly they’re conducting nation building where they’re forging municipalities, public services for men, women and children and forming coalition govts. Then he said that nation building doesn’t work but in the same breath he gave examples of it working. He basically pulled a Mitt Romney – speaking out of every corner of his mouth until someone tells him if what they’ve heard is acceptable enough. It was utter drivel.
Anderson is a fool. The President has talked about development efforts being the key to ending the lure of extremists since the beginning. They just love their labels.
