morning people

South African Times: US First Lady Michelle Obama kicked off her visit to South Africa with the Young African Women Forum on Tuesday morning, where the US Embassy is hosting 75 leading young women in Africa.

The embassy invited 30 South African women, including Democratic Alliance national spokesperson Lindiwe Mazibuko and 5FM radio DJ Anele Mdoda. Television personality, who also attended the forum, Precious Kofi tweeted her excitement about the forum and meeting Obama. “From kings to ministers and then myself, Mrs Obama gave each individual her undivided attention,” Kofi tweeted.

The forum provides a platform for women to network and discuss issues that affect women on the continent. More here

Good morning Chipsticks and TOD family

The world is learning what we have always known about our fabulous FLOTUS ! I love the fact that with her and PBO that what you see is what you get; they are always authentic and consistent.

The weather in S. Africa for this week is 34-68 F, while most of the US is swealtering.

FLOTUS just paid an unannounced visit to Nelson Mandela. I’m following a reporter (Lola- @lolaogunnaike travelling with Mrs. O through BET I think. She has some pictures up with FLOTUS and the family, but no reporters were allowed in to see Mandela.

And now it’s Eugene robinsons turn to bash the president, this time on Libya.
According to the press, the president has not only made bad decisions but that is all he is capable of doing.. Lol!

The corporations are getting desperate, now throwing everything against the wall!

It got my mother upset. And when Eugene is on Rachel he also bashes the president. Me thinks Eugene has been talking to corny west!

Jovie, Jovie, Jovie. IGNORE THEM!! Let’s bask in the glow of our wonderful First Lady and her smart, beautiful and gracious children. I think both she and Pres. Obama gain strength from the positive vibes that we send their way. So…. let’s keep the positive vibes movin’ and groovin’ in their direction!! We know that the foolishness will come, there will be plenty of time for that later…

You bring such positive news most times. Thanks for keeping us informed of the job numbers, and the solar energy and the rest of the good news!! You are a natural reporter!!!

My point is the republicans used top down approach through the msm, to recapture the house.
And now they are going after our base, using the same tactics.
You can take the GOP and all there tricks lightly, but That is a mistake.
There DC games have been going on for 100 years and most democrats are afraid of republicans(except for DWS)!

And of course, I will bring more good news to this blog, I always do.

I just like figuring out what the republicans are doing!

I agree with you on one thing, Jovie. They are going after the base. Morning Joke had a reporter from Telemundo to push the Hispanics won’t vote for Obama meme. They’re using Smiley and West to go after AAs, Choi etc. to go after gays, phony progressives (including Joan Walsh) to go after hard left and even Matthews to go after women.

We must be vigilant and keep reminding these groups of all that PBO has accomplished for them. Keep putting the truth out there.

Oh, and that slime Mark McKinnon was on trying to push the Huntsman is like Obama meme — he’s positive and hopeful. I sent that slime a tweet and told him he was delusional. The idea though is to go after the youth. They’re trying to make boring ass Huntsman cool with that lame motorcycle ad and talking about him being in a band. The truth is Huntsman is just another rich criminal. His company had more employees in China than the US, had a NUCLEAR plant in Iran until 2010. Guess the family sold it because Jon boy was planning to stab his boss in the back by running against him. He’s for killing Medicare. I could go on and on.

All this is in a story on GOPolitico which I will not link to. But this is the kind of info we must push and push. Make sure all our friends, family, co-workers know about these clowns.

Proudofobama, great analysis on Huntsman. He needs to win in NH where it could be tough with Romney. The media seems to love him, but the teabaggers probably will not. It will be tough for him.

            • June 21, 2011 at 9:18 am

I do not see Huntsman beating Romney in NH. The Repub establishment really doesn’t want Romney to win in my view. I haven’t figured out who they really want yet, but I don’t think it’s him. Saw on Twitter that Huntsman’s announcement has four news trucks there. That doesn’t seem like a wow turnout to me.

          • June 21, 2011 at 9:06 am

Finally, people are agreeing with me that they all are going after our base! So, huntsman is going after the youth vote? Hmmmm

            • June 21, 2011 at 9:16 am

That’s what I see. PBO is the coolest president ever. Not a phony manufactured cool. He just is. That’s just his being. Swagga. Hunstman swagga? Never. But they’re really trying to make him cool.

Good morning, everyone. Well Jane Hamsher has been outed as the opportunist she is. Here’s link to a story about her firm working for Republicans. She’s a phony and opportunist making money off of her hatred for the President because he beat Hillary. Anyone who listens to these phony progressives needs to have their head examined.

Good Norning my family. Thanks goes out to Chipsticks again. I have a candle lit in my library/music room for you. I felt a need to light one and keep that your space because I felt that your heart was heavy yesterday. You realize that the good that you are doing here for us as a family will be in attacking mode daily, so I will lift you up daily and I know all of us within this beautiful family will do the same in their on way. We are with you, and we give thanks for you. For our family today: “When we trust in the natural goodness around us, we open ourselves for the blessings of life to flow toward us.” God bless all of you on this beautiful day. I love you back.
