I posted this on Twitter. Those who are attacking, know the truth. That’s why they’re attacking.

Chips, you might want to consider posting this article about the Obama impersonator making racist jokes at that republican conference today. It needs to go viral and to every media outlet. It needs to be covered and covered. Enough of this bigotry. These hateful people need to be held accountable. Wonder how Choi feels about this.

After reading the earlier post about Right Wing reaction to the First Lady’s Africa trip and now this, I am unbelievably sickened. How do these people not end up choking on their own hate? Interesting that there has been no “response” from the “Leadership” conference…

The republiCONS have started early on the squid ink. There isn’t a lot one can do to suppress a whale fart. The biggest issue to come will voter suppression. That’s gonna be the shallow reef.

Below the chart on the full article this is the quote: “Note that Obama’s approval rating among liberal Democrats has stayed high, at right around 90% — even as his overall approval rating has fallen. ” Am I reading this wrong or is he saying that his overall approval rate has fallen from 90%? I may be wrong, but looking at the dark green line on the original chart, I would take that to mean the approval rate of everyone else other than liberal Democrats. The everyone else dark green line seems to be hovering around or just below 50%. ????????????

I’m with this President all the way. And the First Lady have my support also, weather it’s a trip to S. Africa or a trip across the street, I’m with her all the way. Now as for that stupid black impersonator at the Republican gathering, why would you have an Obama impersonator there? There is no level these racists Republicans won’t sink too. But that’s okay, we will overcome. YES WE WILL.

O.K I admit it I am a history buff! But this is really nothing new. In order to counter the abolitionist movement, Southern whites sent black slaves to the North to attest at how well slaves were being treated by their kind masters. This was, of course, aimed at undercutting black abolitionists like Frederick Douglass. This new stint of a black Obama impersonator is aimed at fostering divisions between the gay and black communities, in order to discourage them from supporting the President. Lets hope the vast majority, in both communities, are wise enough to recognize the game being played on them.

My husband and I are two white seniors who have supported President Obama since we heard him in 2004! We went to one of his early campaign stops in April 2007, and listened closely to what he said. He is saying the same things today he said then. He is remarkably consistent because he knows his inner principles. Like the president, I have to believe that there are more people who condemn this kind of race baiting than who approve it. I always have noticed that things that opereate underground grow, but when brought into the light, they can be dealt with. This has been a painful 2 1/2 years for those of us who respect and admire the president. It is AWFUL to see and hear the racism, but those who are guilty can no longer pretend it’s not there. I always come back to Justice Brandeis: “Sunlight is the best disinfectant.”
Clara Luper’s funeral was this weekend here, and I read about her some more, and admire her even more. She brought the insidious racism into the light, and people began to see it for what it was. Her simple act with her students caused Katz Drugstores to change their policies all over the country, and more dominoes began to fall. As painful as it is, this stuff has to come to light. We will win. I firmly believe good triumphs over evil.
