…..it was Dan Choi, John Aravosis of AmericaBlog and, naturally, Jane Hamsher collectively lying about the president’s record on, among other things, LGBT rights.
Dan Choi appeared on Lawrence O’Donnell last night to repeat all of the hyperbolic silliness about how the president has broken all of his promises to the gay community – an accusation that simply is not true….
Here’s Aravosis during the panel: “…. We were told he’d be a fierce advocate, and he’s been not fierce at all and not much of an advocate.”
Not a fierce advocate? Not that into you? Horseshit. Utter horseshit. In addition to the Obama administration deciding not to enforce the Defense of Marriage Act because, in in the view of the Obama Justice Department, the law is unconstitutional, the president has also racked up the following LGBT achievements: see here
Check that out. That’s a long, long list for someone who “just isn’t that into” same-sex rights.

…..the firebaggers need to ditch this fiction about the president and embrace reality – or, better yet, people simply need to stop buying into their ridiculous whining, lying and undermining of a realistic progressive agenda.

The Obama Diary 
I am so glad that someone is stepping up and pushing back on these fake progressives. They are worse than the repugs and that they try to wear a mask that they speak for the democratic base. The media just love having them on to turn off real progressive from being involve with politics.

Apparently progress isn’t dramatic for some people. Instead of a nationwide tour with fist pounding and name calling, Obama just signed a piece of paper in order to get a lot of these things done. Making sure of course that it is within his powers and implemented properly. Not exactly Hollywood blockbuster material but it is progress. 1000%++++++ more than any president before him.

Bob Cesca was, as you said, right on the money! It is really quite revealing that the people who claim to be the progressive base of Obama’s support sound more like teabaggers. They’ve even adopted teabagg tactics of telling lies about President Obama’s record. Especially his record with respect to gay rights. According to Choi President Obama “is the worst President in 50 years.” Haven’t I heard a similar claim from people like Michele Bachmann?
We really must find a way of proclaiming this truth as loudly, and as widely, as we can:
