Well, Mrs. O, thanks for the invite , but you’ll only see me on the trip if the Chips-Obama Travel Service is the tour guide. You up for it, Ms Chips?

These two young ladies made me wonder what I was doing at their age. I am impressed by their vision and what they are doing to implement it, and I know they will be helped by FLOTUS’ willingness to stand beside them. This FLOTUS is so obviously committed to young people(ladies?) and their future!

Heck yeah!!!!! Virtual bags packed! 😆

      • June 16, 2011 at 10:34 pm

Pack for both of us, please. I won’t be packing any bags ‘cos’ I don’t want to miss a moment while fussing about what to wear. 😉

Hi ‘Sweet-ums’, kudos on your continued tireless, and much appreciated, efforts. I haven’t made contact in a while, but my thoughts have been with you and the family. 😆

Now it looks like they are going to filibuster Bon mueller the FBI director:

They have blown up the senate. Nothing is passing…

The President and Reid really need to do something about this. It’s gone on for years without Obama saying anything publicly. They can threaten to go nuclear in the Senate or they can sue the Senate for failure to do their job.

What a thrill to see South Africa thru the eyes of the Obama and Robinson children. Such a beautiful country, I hope Nelson Mandela is well enough to meet with our First Lady and the little Obama girls.

We have the most thoughtful and involved First Lady in our times of great things taking place all over our world. May this be a wonderful trip for our country, and a beautiful and safe one for our First Lady and the girls along with their cousins. Meeting Mandela would be a treat for all of them. Let’s pray for miracles.

I did not have a clear idea of Michelle Obama before she became First Lady. I did not pay much attention to the spouses of any of the candidates. But she has really impressed me in the way she has taken on so much and with such grace. The hard work she has been willing to do. Her calm manner and poise. The inspiration she is to young women around the world. She has really thrown herself into the role with enthusiasm. No wonder the President is so proud of her.
I have been studying her manner in hopes of learning something. She is so calm in the way she responds, even when people try to push her buttons. She just remains above any kind of pettiness. And she’s also fun! This entire family are such good representatives and are genuinely concerned in making this a better world for all our children. It’s hard for me to find the right words for how I feel about this. She’s wonderful! 🙂
