polling pennsylvania

Quinnipiac: …Former Pennsylvania Sen. Rick Santorum trails President Barack Obama 49 – 38 percent in Pennsylvania according to a Quinnipiac University poll…

…In possible presidential election matchups, President Obama tops Romney 47 – 40 percent and leads Santorum 49 – 38 percent. Independent voters back Obama, 41 – 37 percent over Romney and 46 – 35 percent over Santorum.

Obama gets a split 48 – 48 percent job approval rating in Pennsylvania, compared to a negative 42 – 53 percent April 28 …. Independent voters split 48 – 47 percent, compared to a negative 37 – 57 percent April 28th.

Voters say 48 – 46 percent that Obama deserves to be reelected, also up from a negative 42 – 52 percent. Again, independent voters go from a negative 37 – 56 percent April 28 to a slightly negative 46 – 49 percent today.

Tim Malloy, assistant director of the Quinnipiac University Polling Institute: “Whether it’s still the Osama bin Laden bounce or because voters are taking a closer look at the alternatives, President Barack Obama’s fortunes in Pennsylvania, a critical swing state in presidential elections, has improved …. Independent voters, a critical bloc, have shifted dramatically in the six weeks since President Obama suffered his all-time low in Pennsylvania.”

Thank you aamom

Update:

Also from Quinnipiac: Connecticut voters approve 53 – 44 percent of the job President Barack Obama is doing, up slightly from 49 – 47 percent in a March 8, 2011, Quinnipiac University poll. President Obama deserves reelection, voters say 51 – 43 percent, and they would vote for Obama 46 – 35 percent over an unnamed Republican in 2012.

Thank you Proud 😉

As far as the polling goes in Pennsylvania, shhh, don’t tell anyone, especially msnbc, it’s a secret!

One thing that has me mad, is Pakistan just arrested the US informants that led the CIA to bin laden.

WTF? These guys are heroes and they arrest them???

Read that about Pakistan Jovie, bizarre. Pakistan sure isn’t looking to improve relations with the US – incredible story.

Good Morning Everyone. Good news about the poll. This is the reason we don’t get to high or to low. Seem like I recall someone else saying that, I believe it was our wise President. The election is November 2012, it will be a fight, but one we Obama supporters are ready to fight. I know I am.

I think it’s time we start paying on attention to individual states. I would be curious about polling in Ohio and Indiana. Those are real battleground states.

FRANKLY…OUR FIGHT HERE IS GOING TO BE AGAINST THOSE REPUBLICANS WHO THINK THE PRESIDENT IS PART OF A CONSPIRACY AND RACISM HERE IS HIGH! WE DID IT IN 2008…WE WILL DO IT AGAIN. OUR ‘PLUS’ IS THAT THE REPUBLICANS ARE PROVING THEMSELVES TO BE EXACTLY WHAT THEY ARE. WE ARE FIGHTING THE ‘FEAR FACTOR’ THAT THE REPUBLICANS PRESENT!

For Republicans, the strangest thing they have done since January 2011 is actually show what they are. Until the election of 2010, they were pulling the wool over everyone’s eyes, saying one thing while planning another. Now their cover is blown. As the saying goes: “You can fool some of the people all of the time, and you can fool all of the people some of the time, but you can’t fool all of the people all of the time.” Some people are waking up and realizing they’ve been fooled, and want to correct what they did last November. Some will never wake up, but there are enough who have awakened that good results are possible.
Now is not the time to panic. There are 17 months until the election. Actual Republican primaries don’t start until Feb 2012. Remember how often things changed in 2008…after each primary the pundits thought they had it figured out, and the next one would send their pronouncements to the trashcan.
Those people making those pronouncements have no more wisdom than we do. I will not be a puppet of theirs.

Good advice, Carlyn. I was disheartened after listening to a rabid right-winger on Randi Rhodes show yesterday who was painfully ignorant), and then listening to Democrats from Congress to Netroots laying out their plans to bash the President over the summer. But, you’re right. More and more people are waking up, and we still have 17 months to go. We have to keep reminding each other that the people with the microphones are completely clueless, have an alternate agenda and have been wrong many times before – and hope that more and more people keep waking up. Thanks!
