Wow Jovie. Thanks for that link. If people thought the Administration was blowing smoke when it comes to alternative energy they are in for a rude awakening. This is off the hook.

Also, isn’t that cute that Joan Walsh considers herself part of the presidents base!

      June 15, 2011 at 5:43 pm

      What did she say?

      • June 15, 2011 at 5:47 pm

Oh, her and Sam stein were on saying that she thinks the coalition the president has formed is ungovernable. Also, said the president got most of his donations through wall street and that we do not matter.
Then they brought up chuck todds new poll and the president is at 49-46! They all could not believe it, with the economy the way it is.

        Hardball likes him some Romney!

Thanks, Jovie. You would think these so-called progressives would spend every waking moment talking about Republicans and how they are tearing this country apart, yet they waste time demonizing this president. After POTUS, that’s it for me. I am done with this party.

Jovie, I am having an email war with Joan right now! I pissed her off by calling her out. We have exchanged responses 5 times now. She is one sarcastic b..ch let me tell you.

          • June 15, 2011 at 8:19 pm

I tell you, they are thin-skinned. They can dish it but, the minute you call them out, they get all defensive. Most all of them are like that. They are supposed to be the authority and don’t like to be questioned, yet they sit behind the glass box and talk lots of jibberish about the president. Care to share some of what you discussed with her and what she is saying?

          • June 15, 2011 at 8:22 pm

Ask her if her and weiner got mad at president Clinton when he cut Medicare, de regulated the financial industry aNd signed nafta into law? That otta get her!

    Hi evryone.

    Did anyone catch this story.

    It’s gone viral on yahoo:

Struggling single mom sells Obama letter.

    • June 15, 2011 at 6:30 pm

That will be spun by the pl as obamas fault! You watch!

    • 18 dotster
      June 15, 2011 at 6:52 pm

She was on some program earlier. Sorry, but I think she’s another who is allowing herself to be used by the media. She wrote Obama 2 years ago, or whatever it was, and she still doesn’t have a job. It’s part of the media’s theme, that Obama has failed on the jobs front. But during her interview she said she couldn’t work anyway. She has a new baby who was born premature and who needs special attention.

      • 19 Tulips
        June 15, 2011 at 8:50 pm

She spoke very highly of the president and said she still supports him and that she knows it will take longer to turn things around. her daughters illiness is whats keeping her from looking for work. She did not bash the president at all.

        • 20 isonprize
          June 15, 2011 at 10:24 pm

I didn’t see the program, but good that she didn’t bash Obama, because she will more than likely need Medicaid if her child’s prematurity leads to some special medical needs, as often is the case for preemies.

      • 21 GGail
        June 15, 2011 at 9:50 pm

She’s been given some bad advice. The article says letters are going for $7 – 11, 000 and minus that guy’s commission, she’ll receive peanuts! Not a wise decision. Imagine if she kept the letter till after President Obama ends his second term – the letter will increase in value.

    • 22 AnitaW
      June 15, 2011 at 8:27 pm

I haven’t watched the video yet, but does she say she’s selling the letter because she thinks POTUS is doing a terrible job? Or just because she needs the money?

Remember for every one of those folks who sell their letter there are another 10+ who did not. And I would bet my number is conservative.

      • 23 Tulips
        June 15, 2011 at 8:52 pm

No she did not say that. in fact she stated that she is a support who just came across hard times and she don’t want to sell the letter.

Actually I noticed they turned on him shortly following the Weiner scandal. It’s almost like they are scapegoating him for their own perceived failures. First it was Edwards, now Weiner. Everytime one of their heroes crashes, Obama comes out looking that much better and it makes them MAD!!

  7. June 15, 2011 at 6:44 pm

Wow! I hate to beat a dead horse, but the pl is losing it today. Juhygur has a segment next, how is this guy still so popular? First, he sounds pissed! Second, THIS GUY??? Really?

Jovie I so that too . Calling the president this guy, and wondering why he is still popular? DUH!

    • June 15, 2011 at 7:35 pm

They are looking inward and they are not liking what they see, and so they turn their ire on him. The defense mechanism, “Displacement,” seems to be at play here big time. One of their heroes have fallen so far from grace, and so what do they do, they take out on PBO.

As well, no matter how much they’ve beat up on him, he continues to stand tall. That can be very maddening.

FYI: It turns out Kucinich, in addition to suing President Obama, has sued Clinton and Bush and Rumselfd and NBC and ABC and the publisher of his book and the congressional cafeteria and more.

“The Many Lawsuits of Dennis Kucinich”

This makes me ever so slightly less ticked than when I thought he had singled out President Obama for his stunt. So when they’re not busy acting a fool, does anybody in Congress actually do their job?

No wonder they sit around all day asking for President Obama to lead them. You see what happens when they’re left on their own.

      • June 16, 2011 at 5:23 am

where are you all seeing this?

  24. 101 hopefruit2
    June 15, 2011 at 7:38 pm

The media, GOP and PL are getting increasingly unhappy because it appears that voters overwhelmingly prefer the President and the key demographics like Blacks, Latinos and LGBTs are supportive of this President. The GOP’s debate on Monday despite efforts to undermine the President, only served to highlight the sheer stupidity and ineffectuality of the GOP candidacy spectrum. Only 3.2 million viewers, despite much hype and announcement by CNN. The Republicans are flailing because voters just aren’t enthusiastic about ANY of these candidates, no matter how much the MSM tries to hype them up. So far none of those candidates – including Romney and Hunstman have anything over President Obama.

2012 is NOT going to be repeat of 2010. First of all, 2010 was a midterm and Barack Obama was not on the ballot. Many people don’t even know who their house rep is. Secondly, the Republicans were excessively motivated to vote because they were being egged on by the Teaparty movement, the MSM, the PL and others. So the so-called “enthusiasm gap” that the MSM was braying about was driven by an excess of Republican enthusiasm, rather than a deficit of DEM enthusiasm. Now the same voters realized that they were duped into voting for GOP governors and Teaparty congressmen/women who really didn’t care about them, but simply used them to try to get into office These voters are not about to let themselves be used like that in 2012. They want to hear SOLUTIONS, not simply “OBAMASUX.” The media is flailing, right along with those Republicans.

    • June 15, 2011 at 7:53 pm

hopefruit, you are right on target. The American people see how hard this president is working to get this country back on track. They see how the rethugs are obstructing, passing laws that hurt Americans and have no solutions to help the country. The American voter is not stupid like the media and the rethugs think we are. They have seen this president in action on foreign policy. He’s kicked butt. And he represents our country so well internationally. They know no rethug can do this Not one. And they’re going to stick with President Obama.

That’s why after getting on tee vee and trying to spin how wonderful their candidates were at that clown show called a debate, they were meeting in secret today trying to find an alternative.

      • 103 EDP4BHO
        June 15, 2011 at 8:16 pm

I agree with you hopefruit and proud, but unfortunately, even though people see, many will not look far enough to understand that jobs are not created by PBO, but he can only produce the climate for cooperation. Even if people sense that rethugs are damning all efforts, too many will not find the courage to fight along with PBO, but will cave because they feel exasperated. That’s not to say most, but I feel a significant number will be discouraged. This is why I pray each day that this damned economy turns for the better in a measureable way, and sustains the momentum. Then and only then will we see PBO’s numbers hit where they should have been, I feel, all along. Like in the 70’s, in the least. It’s the only way to counter all the other beefs some folks have with his policies.

OMG, I came back here to post that exact same thing. He has been trying to be Barack Obama since Barack Obama came on the scene. Who could ever forget his “Oh no we can’t ” on the senate floor? His strange “tan”. Check out his ties. Now if he could stop smoking like PBO did, he may feel better…LOL. I say that’s why he cried when he became speaker……so close to where PBO is in stature. Yeah, right Rusty. You ain’t nothing like PBO.

There are a LOT of Obama wanna-bes. Trying to steal our Prez’s steelo in ways great and small. Losers!

What is Cantor grinning about? Isn’t he just tickled to be around PBO. These Repubs want to be in our President’s face. Just like the PL, they have to have his attention all the time or they aren’t happy. Now Boehner must be excited about that golf game with our President coming up this weekend.

In picture number six, look at all the phone cameras hoisted as people try to snap pictures of POTUS and FLOTUS. Oh, snd Boehner continues to give the kids the cringe factor. As innocent as children are, they have a good and genuine sense of people.

Chips, I know you are terribly busy, but I wish you would do a montage of pictures of PBO with kids and if we can find any, of other politicians.

President and Mrs. Obama are so cute!! And too classy to do what they should have done… Stand at the gate and write out a dinner bill for each and every Rethuglican and turncoat Democrat who eat at this picnic. Just too classy…

Have the media said anything about Boehner smoking? If it was President Obama they would be showing it and trashing him about what message he is sending to our youth.

    • June 16, 2011 at 1:45 pm

At Jay Carney’s press conference someone just asked him about Boehner smoking – but used it to ask if the President was still smoking 🙄 And if he’d allow Boehner smoke during their round of golf. Yep, these are the BIG issues of the day.
