After careful staring, I’ve concluded that she’s tucked her hair. Her skin is gorgeous! JJ looks like he wants to run off with her before the SS realizes what he’s doing…..whoa JJ, stand down buddy, PBO got this 😉
FLOTUS sometimes tucks her hair in but this is a wig, or fall…a very good one too. If you look at the hair part, you’ll notice her hair is a bit darker than the wig. She occasionally wears them to give her hair rest. Black hair is very delicate and will fall out easily if not properly cared for. Look at the left side where her hairline is–your right– and you’ll see her hair. Then look up slightly and you’ll notice the difference. I noticed she started wearing wigs a year ago, at least once per month, and no one else has mentioned it, perhaps out of respect for her, hopefully. All those state dinners and official events where her hair is under heat and hot irons will damage black hair very easily and she’s giving her hair rest. Usually black women will braid their hair or wear twists and other protective hairstyles to mitigate damage; but since FLOTUS can’t do that–people would freak if she wore braids or twists–she has to wear wigs so she won’t end up like Naomi. I’m glad she’s doing it though and has chosen really good wigs to do so.

I love what she is doing. I believe the military is by and large conservative leaning, but I think they are better off with the democrats than repubs. Remember the disgrace at the VA hospital during Bush? Rumsfeld sending kids to war in vehicles that couldn’t withstand IEDs, soldiers getting electric shocks in the showers because of the shody work done by Chaney’s old company affilate. What she and Jill are doing is great. It will take time but it might change some of the soldiers minds as to who is really looking out for them.

For me, specialy in the south, they’re the ones who’d morally underwritten slavery and Jim Crow. After that obortion and what women where doing with their privates was a big concern. First Lady Michelle Obama is a blessing for young women everywhere. The penultimate role model; how can we NOT look up to her? This woman has got to have a down side as do we all. But when she shows up, representing us, it is first class all the way. I am soooo proud:)
Our First Lady looks beautiful as usual. She represents us well. I love how she presents her message and her beautiful intellect. She is representing a great group in our nation, our servicemen and servicewomen of our nation.

One of the better mainstream shows that I thought dealt reasonably well (by Hollywood standards at least) with military families was “The Unit”.
