It made me cry, Fred. My heart just overflowed.

How beautiful. I was hoping to see the little red-haired Irish girl he met in Ireland. 🙂 That was a precious moment.

Thanks to whoever made the video. So lovely. Thank you for sharing it, Chip. Great way to end my Saturday evening.

If you want a real perspective on what is happening in Libya – now – then read the comments posted today by mark at:

    http://disqus.com/facebook-1066244066/

I assure you, you won’t see reporting like that from CNN, BBC or anyone else – and it happens to be by someone who knows of what he speaks.

Of course, africa. Several of us have been and continue to follow the situation in Libya very closely – and it bears little resemblance to what you see in any of the media, with the occasional exception of certain posts on AJE.

I assure you, there is no ‘stalemate’ in Libya and over the past ~ 2 weeks, significant transformations are happening throughout the coastal and mountain area around Tripoli, as well as, in Tripoli itself.

I’ve only posted a couple of items during the past two weeks because it just seems best to let the events unfold and a day not far in the future will see the people of Libya emerge in control of their own, democratic, destiny.

I do look forward to your posts. Indeed, there is a world of difference between these links and what we read here in the U.S. Thanks again.

I look forward to the day when the Libyans can take back their country. I empathize with Libyans at home and abroad. When our own country was going through its decade of senseless civil war, it was a time of great angst for not only me and my family but the whole country.

I didn’t want the video to end…I just sat there with a happy smile on my face taking in those beautiful, loving pictures. I think so much good comes with a creation like this, Chipsticks. These happy feelings are like loving ripples on a pond that are sent out into the world as we all experience them.

I see these are videopress. Do you upload them to YouTube? I think it would be lovely to have your videos available there.

Those are wonderful pictures, too. There are so many favorites that they remind me of some others. A baby handed to him from the crowd at Moneygall and the adorable little girl with the red hair. The President was somewhere with basketball players where there were children. I remember one of the pictures was the president showing a young boy how to “shave” with a blank razor and behind him you could see the basketball player smiling. You can see how much he loves and appreciates them.

    Wonderful, Chipsticks. Thank you!

    • June 11, 2011 at 9:22 pm

Ah Suzanne, thank you soooooooo much. You know yourself, there are so many of these gorgeous photos you could make a 50-hour movie!

I used to post videos on YouTube, during the 2008 campaign, but it became a pain: any time I used music in the videos right-wing nutjobs would report them for copyright infringement and YouTube would take them down. And then I’d get celebratory messages from the nutjobs telling me YouTube was on the side of God 😯

Life is much easier on this blog, at least I can keep the nutjobs out!

      • 41 theo67
        June 12, 2011 at 12:03 am

Some of those people (the nutjobs) are just pure evil, and absolute killjoys! Imagine spending your days in breathless anticipation for the next chance to do something hurtful and hateful.

Thank you so much for keeping this site clean – it’s a safe haven for many of us! 😀

Good evening, TODers! Good to see everyone smiling a lot!

    Here’s some news –

There’s been a change to President Obama’s Sunday schedule. White House says tonight he’ll leave Camp David & travel not to the White House but to Joint Base Andrews.

I’m not sure what this means. Anybody hear anything?

OMG!! an Obama baby wall video!! The cuteness is just too much. They are all so precious! It’s like he gets an extra boost of energy from the babies. And the freeze frame shot of the adorable brownskin cutie is just too much. She just looks so adoring and fascinated by this man. Babies are just so happy around Pres. Obama. Wheewww. I gotta go watch it again…

OBAMA BABIES!1 Su-weeeet! Just what the doctor ordered for mu Saturday night. Thanks, Chips! Luci, you definitely had me laughing – that trial session seemed so earnest and ‘cute’. Thanks for putting some 🙂 😆 on my face. I trust that everyone has had a great Saturday, a d \i wish you all a wonderful Sunday!

Meta, I certainly hope this is not another emergency. Every time The MAN tries for 2-3 consecutive days of R and R something crops up! Of course, what seems like an emergency to us might just be something that he has had his eye on for a while , or set in motion his own self (like OBL).
