WH: Dr. Austan D. Goolsbee, Chairman of the President’s Council of Economic Advisers (CEA), announced his plans to return to his position as the Robert P. Gwinn Professor of Economics at the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business. He will return to Chicago in time for the upcoming school year.  Prior to his time in the Obama Administration, he was a professor at the University of Chicago for fourteen years.

….Chairman Goolsbee said, “Working each day on behalf of the American people has been a rare privilege, particularly at such a historic time.  While I  am looking forward to returning home to Chicago, I will always be proud of the years I have spent working for this President.  I believe that his judgment, his courage in confronting the worst economic crisis of our lifetimes, and his commitment to the American people have made a tremendous difference for the nation.”

Totally looking forward to Patreaus going to the CIA…hopefully that will put a muzzle on him and the President can make decisions on Afghanistan without getting blowback from the good ole boys club. I trust President Obama’s judgment over anyone’s.

The GOP keeps saying this election is winnable. No it is not. Ryan no care, tax cuts for the rich, republican governors pushing culler warfare bills, lousy candidates, no minority support, discrimination of all Muslims, and last Butkus least, palin!
This will not be close, despite a sluggish economy, large amounts of outside money and msm bias!
Thus, the jedi mind trick will not work this time!

    I love this blog!

My daily routine now includes looking at TOD, Whatisworking, BO.com/blog, and a host of other sites. I go through the comments for a general idea of what others are saying about various issues, then examine how I feel about the reactions of others before I take a position.

But usually I’m looking just looking for news/links to places that I don’t normally check on a regularly basis.

Thanks to all the regular contributors. Thank you TOD. God Bless you all. God bless The USA.

The President and Chancellor Merkel had dinner tonight – they really seem to be friends. What a difference she must feel about this President after being groped by GWB. He looks good…

I noticed that throughout her official state visit. They seem to really respect and genuinely like each other. The press conference between the two leaders was interesting to watch. They were factual, fair and had each other’s backs.

I’m soooooooo gonna miss Austan Goolsbee. He’s been A-plus with me from day one. Watching him on This Week with Christiane Amanpour reminded me of how brilliant he is, how he always has PBO’s back and how he never tolerates BS from the msm.

Good night Chipsticks again. I was just reading from a lovely book: “Mother Teresa:Her Essential Widsom.” So I will sign off with a good night with this: “If peace and love are not allowed to take their rightful place at the table of negotiation, then hatred and anger will produce a conflict that will continue for many years to come. It will slove nothing and thousands of innocent lives will be lost. I ask you all to pray for peace which is such an urgent priority.”
    Mother Teresa

Have a restful evening my dear family here on this site, and our wonderful Chipsticks.
