maher’s musings

*** Don’t click if you can’t stand Bill Maher or if you can’t cope with hearing the half-termer’s voice! ***

On the Paul Revere thing …. I ventured in to Teabag territory again to see their reaction to her latest idiotic utterance:

“She has to be really careful what she says anywhere near a camera or microphone.”

“There was more truth in her words than there was error.”

“Did you ever get caught off guard when your mind is focused on something else? I have, many times. She IS articulate, when she’s on the same page as the interviewer.”

“Lookalikes are showing up at Palin rallies.”

😆

***

Thank you Loriah for the half-termer’s latest polling figures (from PPP):

Oh dear – look at her figures in Alaska! 😆

Rhode Island is clearly the brainiest state in the country 😉

Who was his round table last night?

    • June 4, 2011 at 10:45 am

Larry King, Melissa Harris-Perry and is that Rick Lazio?

      • June 4, 2011 at 11:02 am

        Hey chip,
I know where lazio and Melissa stand politically.
Did you get any sense that Larry king was or was not an Obama fan?

I’ve never understood the appeal of Larry King. He gives me the creeps.

I get the sense Larry King is a President Obama fan.

        • June 4, 2011 at 11:36 am

Hi Jovie, I honestly don’t know about King, I’m not a fan so I rarely watched his show. Anyone else know his politics?

Most times when I’ve watched his show… he’s been pretty fair when talking about PBO. I think he likes PBO and I’ve seen him defend PBO when there are outright lies propagated by the other side.

The woman is a former Princeton University and now Tulane University political science professor who also is a MSNBC contributer, Rick Lazio who ran against Hillary for the Senate in New York, and of course Larry King.

Hahahahahahahahaha 😆 Thank you for this gem Chipsticks. I like Bill Maher. I might not agree with him on every issue but boy does he have a wicked (salty) sense of humor. Seriously?!!!!… OMFG!! She doesn’t know who Paul Revere is? And she’s an American? Paul Revere was warning the British?…… How dumb is this woman? He was warning the British and telling them to take up arms and ring bells?… Crying out loud this is middle school US History. This woman should be ashamed of herself. She can’t even construct a proper sentence. These teabaggers on teabagger sites think she’s articulate but misunderstood?…. A rock is smarter than her. She’s the epitome of an IGNORAMUS.

    • June 4, 2011 at 10:59 am

Unfortunately, the right wing libertarians are woefully misinformed! Thus, she speaks for the stupid right wingers, and their are many! Sigh!

Love visiting this site, its great. This is my first post on here however. I am from Barbados over here in the Caribbean. Most of us think that your President is an incredible man and hopefully he will win a second term( he easily deserves to in my opinion). I can’t believe Sarah Palin garners so much attention when it is as plain as day that she is a mental midget. Can someone please explain the presses fixation with this woman. Hope everyone has a great day today!

Hey Robert, welcome to our wonderful family. I’m glad you’ve been visiting the site b/c Chips sure does provide more relevant and useful information in a minute than the msm covers in a day. So glad you finally decided to post a comment and I hope we’ll hear more from you in the future.

As for the speed-bump quitter. The msm’s fascination with her is that they think her campaign style is uncoventional, it’s not “scripted”, it’s spontaneous, her speech isn’t long winded, she’s not “elite” and oh yeah she’s “attractive.” To me this is all BS. The woman is a walking, talking nincompoop. She isn’t an intellectual and she has no interest/curiousity in educating herself. She knows nothing about domestic policy, foreign policy, the economy, healthcare, womens and childrens issues and the environment. Frankly it’s sickening how much coverage she gets when there are more pressing issues on the horizon.

I know I am Johnny-come-late…I’m on the West Coast, but I wanted to say welcome Robert. I am fairly new myself and although I don’t post often, I do love coming here everyday. This is a great site…I don’t know everyone (most seem like they have been “together” for a longtime and truly seem/feel like “family”) but I enjoy each and everyone and of course all of the “real” news…my friends and associates are so impressed that I am so well informed.

Welcome, Robert! I visited gorgeous Barbados a few years ago — got some lovely jewelry and yummy rum cake :-).

Palin is a joke — she’s easy to cover, that’s why she’s in the press. Nothing deeper than that. Covering the important stuff is hard and requires some thought, which is a bit over the heads of most of these cookie-cutter teleprompter readers in the corporate media. They have a reality entertainment news model and they’re gonna run with it. She fits right into their programming, that’s all.

She’s not the first American carnival barker to make money off dumb folks, and she won’t be the last.

Mr Griffith, first let me welcome you. You ask can anyone explain the press fixation with Palin? My opinion, the media is STUPID.

I like Melissa Harris-Perry a lot. She’s a real smarty. I always appreciate her appearances because she always sets the record straight and in a non-confrontational manner.
Bill Maher has had some great funny moments, and his “summer school” comment was one of them. I can’t for the life of me figure out the media’s fascination with this know-nothing, non-sensical, word-salad spouting, narcissist of a woman. Is it like traffic slowing to stare at the aftermath of a car wreck?
And the reason I care so much about all the misconstrued junk coming from our broadcast media is I too share Maher’s concern that we have too many dummies in this country who allow themselves to be fooled into voting for some highly unqualified candidate. See: W.

Palin sure is good for a laugh, and Bill’s comment about Summer School was right on point! Even our local ABC news station couldn’t resist playing her recent “British” comments and having a laugh. I’m guessing that Arizona is looking into how they can close the border and prevent her from moving there.

Melissa Perry-Harris has been on Rachel, Keith and Ed’s show several time. But she has been in the news more recently because of the her dispute with Cornel West and his attacks on President Obama. She wrote an article in the nation responding to Cornel and then she was on Al Shapton’s show giving it to Cornel big time. Sorry I could not find the audio of the interview on Al Sharpton show but I provided the link to the Nation article.

    😆 😆 😆 😆 😆 😆

She’s such a DOPE! As usual, Maher reads the situation wrong — he believes she can get elected, just as he believed Trump was for real. I’m with Larry: “this is good news!” I truly believe that every time she opens her idiotic mouth is good news.

“…. anyone can become president in this dumb f*cking country…..” that just says it all. I think our collective IQs are going down, right down to the repug level. They who don’t believe in science or math or education. Sometimes I wonder what the hell would become of us without PBO and people like him fighting for us. God Bless him, we need him, our children and country needs him too.
