he’s soft on ‘terror’, you know

MSNBC: Senior al-Qaida operative Ilyas Kashmiri, regarded as one of the world’s most dangerous militants, has been killed by a U.S. drone strike, Pakistani intelligence officials and a militant group confirmed Saturday.

A fax from Kashmiri’s Harakat-ul-Jihad al-Islami militant group said Saturday that Kashmiri was “martyred” in the strike at 11:15 p.m. Friday in South Waziristan. It vowed revenge against America.

The Pakistani official also said Saturday that Kashmiri was among nine militants killed in the strike … Kashmiri is one of five most-wanted militant leaders in Pakistan and his apparent death is another blow to al-Qaida just over a month after Osama bin Laden was killed.

BBC: ….According to a recent Associated Press report, his name figured among the top five al-Qaeda and Taliban militants US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton mentioned during her meetings with the Pakistani leadership a week ago.

He was one of the most active al-Qaeda leaders, and was believed to have had a role in some high-profile attacks against Pakistani and US interests in Pakistan. It is believed that the capabilities of his 313 Brigade will suffer a setback now that he is gone.

What is more, the Pakistani government has admitted to agreeing to set up joint intelligence teams with the Americans to hunt down wanted militant leaders, and many would be led to believe the Pakistani intelligence operatives had a role in leading the Americans to Kashmiri, unless the Pakistanis or the Americans claim otherwise.

The president needs to headline this, when we confirm it! Problem is, no democrats will be on, and CNN will exhaust this line: we now go to former bush administration official who, blah, blah, blah…

It’s been confirmed according to the BBC and AJE.

amazing news in that case.thank you Meta 😀

The President better call on the MSM back to the White House to talk about that. That will take all the wind out of SP’s vacation and Romney and those idiots who are in Washington kissing Ralph Reid’s ass 😡

I cannot wait until the debates when one of those idiots starts yapping that our President is “weak”;I hope he lets them finish then says I raise you Ilyas Kashmiri and Osama Bin Laden 😉

Brilliant. I am not one to celebrate death, but this is indeed a huge blow for those who would do and cause harm to innocents. Those who say that PBO alienates our friends and courts our foes (*cough cough* romney) certainly have egg on their face and would have more egg on their face if the msm would highlight this incident. PBO gets to work and achieves remarkable things in one day; whule others bitch and moan like whiny babies.

Yes and I think it also means that Secretary Clinton made some inroads and perhaps cooled the angry rhetoric in her recent visit to Pakistan.

Oh yeah. I wrote about this on the “Welcome To The Weekend Thread.” According to the Washington Post link I added to the comment, Boehner has kinda been bragging that he can beat POTUS when they play on June 18th b/c he began playing in his 20’s and PBO only started playing seriously during his presidency to relieve stress. Haha….yeah right. WaPo said that ever since Boehner became Speaker of The House his golf game has been pitiful and PBO’s golf game has been A-plus. Apparently they’re gonna talk about the economy and the debt ceiling debate. Can’t wait for the pictures, news articles and video clips that come as a result of the “Golf Summit.” (the msm’s label)

Wow! Steady and on task, even in the middle of media hype. Keep on trucking, Mr. President and staff!

Good Morning, Chipsticks, and TOD family! I hope everyone is fine. 🙂 I haven’t been able to check on you all for the last couple of days because I’ve been ‘gifted’ with a toddler and a youngster who fight like cat and dog. I don’t even have enough time to go to the bathroom without a mini-fight breaking out, and by the time they pass out for the night I’m too tired to respond when I sign on – only enough to glance briefly over the day’s entries before my eyes close on me. Of course they get up bright and early tool Hopefully once they get used to their new environment (if I survive) things will calm down around here. [I only had to get up twice in the writing [ no, three times]of this note.] Take care of each other, and I’ll try to pop in at least once daily. Sigh, someone’s crying, so ….later, maybe.

Thanks, Chips, DR, Fred and UT! It`s been quite a couple of days! The doctor says the eye seems alright, but any complaints of headache and off to emergency. Truthfully, he was so busy having tantrums and picking fights on his return that there was no mention of head hurting. These two children are related and came from the same home but you wouldn`t believe it to see them in action. Part of it might be the stress of not being in their own home, but knowing this does not alleviate MY growing stress of having to be referee every moment. I haven`t had a full meal since their arrival. 😦 Ah well, no sense letting them consume this little period of relaxation with my main family. 😉

Welcome to the family Dan jr. If you fully want to be accepted by the TOD Family then these are the requirements:

      1. Where’s your share of M&M chocolates?
      2. Where’s your share of M&M chocolates?
      3. Where’s your share of M&M chocolates?

J/K. I’m glad you discovered this haven from the madness out there. Chipsticks is fantastic about providing us with info that’s pertinent, relevant and sometimes lol funny at the ridiculousness of the MSM and repubs. I’m glad that you happen to admire and respect our wonderful PBO as much as we all do and I hope you browse through the archives to fill your heart with hope and joy. I hope that you add your comments to the discussion in the future. Once again welcome amigo. 😀

Dan jr, welcome! Did anyone tell you that this is a very `territorial` familyÉ*. We give you so much to read and see that you can have no time to go elsewhere, so be warned before you prick your finger, ready to mingle the blood – this is a full-time Obama family. 😉

The Pakistanis thought we got him a year ago. I hope it’s true this time. India & Pakistan TV both seemed pleased about this attack and they never agree about anything! heh He messed up real bad when he did an prolonged armed attack on a Pakistani airport….Pakistan became more cooperative after that.

    Good Job, Mr. Obama!
