I HOPE EVERYONE HAS A WONDERFUL WEEKEND. I JUST WROTE A BLOG ON THE OFA SITE ABOUT LIFTING OUR CONVERSATION OF HOPE AND PERSEVERANCE ABOVE THE RIDICULOUS JARGON OF DISTRACTION CREATED BY THE REPUBLICANS! WE NEED TO LIFT OURSELVES AND STAND STRONGLY WITH OUR PRESIDENT. THE PALINS,THE TRUMPS…THESE THINGS DON’T MATTER…THE IGNORANCE AND ARROGANCE IS OBVIOUS AND DOES NOT MATTER! WE NEED TO MOVE BEYOND THE INCESSANT CHATTER OF THE MEDIA AND PAY ATTENTION TO THE EXAMPLE SET FORTH BY OUR RESIDENT AND MOVE FORWARD. WE NEED TO MOVE TOWARD THE PRIORITIES IN THIS COUNTRY THAT DO MATTER. MORE IMPORTANTLY…WE NEED TO PRAY FOR THE HEALING OF OUR COUNTRY AND THE PRESIDENT’S GUIDANCE IN LEADERSHIP. BLESSINGS EVERYONE!

Good comments – I know I let myself get affected by the media nonsense this week. I’m going to try and focus on the stuff I can control, going forward. These miscreants on the right are so full of hate and foolishness, that it’s easy to get dragged down by them if we’re not vigilant. Much better to look for the positive energy, and thrive off of it. Thanks Sue!

Morning Family, I hear the Job numbers are going to be better than the doomsday the media have been praying for like 190,000. If that is not good enough, “MY” Sam kass is going to be on GMA to cook Obama’s favourite meal. Happy Friday to you all.

And put on any business channels, they are hoping for a bad report. Watch there reaction, good or bad, it is pretty transparent.
Are these business channels run by wall street?

I just watched the segment with (YOUR) Sam Kass and he is adorable. I think it is so cool that he is the personal chef for President Obama and his family. The talapia fish and fried rice meal looked delicious. I think the choose my plate approach makes a lot of sense. It is simple and easy to follow. Another benefit of a smart and efficient government. Sadly, too many Americans have no idea about the amazing changes taking place that directly benefit their lives.

I have reason to think that the jobs report will be better than anticipated as well. The NY times headlines are not about the U.S. jobs/economy – instead they are about Yemen’s political unrest and economy on the verge of “ruin.”

      yikes!

the #’s are out and it’s just 54;000 jobs.

  5. June 3, 2011 at 8:33 am

Unemployment ticked up to 9.1 percent.
    Only 54k jobs created.
Well, the republicans are doing it, they are wrecking our economy.
    Unreal!

    • June 3, 2011 at 8:35 am

Well, it’s all up to the fed. Now they are talking about qe 3 as a definite!

      • June 3, 2011 at 8:39 am

It’s the housing market, it is really bringing our economy flat.
While this will not be a double dip, for the near future, it wiu remain at 9 percent!

      Link?

Furthermore Jovie, this is a fluctuation – NOT a trend.

      • June 3, 2011 at 8:41 am

That is not what the business channels are saying.
They are saying 2percent GDP growth fir the rest of the year.
        Anyways…

The “business channels” are Republicans. They will say anything to scare Americans and depress the economy even further. That’s their job. And now that PBO catched Bin Laden, leaving the Repblicans with precious little to run on, you can bet on hearing “bad” economic news from the corporate media until November 2012.

Good morning Chipsticks and TOD family. The West Wing Week is great. I wonder which day was David Plouffe’s birthday.

Me4obama, that is wonderful news. All that I have read the last few days has been doom and gloom. Hopefully things are doing better. Fred thanks for the new blog I like to support bloggers who report the truth like Chipsticks and BWD.

I am looking forward to today’s event in Toledo. Wonder if the Governor will be there?

There is a usual doom & gloom diary on Old Orange. Not a single comment holding Republicans responsible. No talk of the Republican governors’ efforts to cut projects in their states, thereby destroying job opportunities. No talk of the Republicans in congress being in bed with the corporations that do the hiring. No talk of the insanely rich CEO’s raking in bigger bonuses and salaries than ever before while refusing to hire. Instead all the talk is about PBO and his so-called failings – when without his efforts this country would probably be in even worse shape.

“I’m not not going to spend time talking, I want to listen to you” said PBO to the democrats during the meeting at the W.H. yesterday. This tells you a lot about his consistent leadership style that has reaped many benefits.

As for the jobs report, etc. this is not a trend and this fluctuation is something that is expected when recovering from a recession. Another thing to consider is that more people, who had previously stopped, are actively loking for jobs because there has been an improvement and employers are hiring.

Try not to buy into the doom and gloom forcasting (the have been wrong most of the time) that comes from the so-called experts. We should know better by now.

Thank you CEB – you took the words right out of my mouth. We should be reading the articles and reports that Chipsticks posts instead of the MSM that we KNOW is slanted right. Thanks Chipsticks for WWW. It’s fun to see the re-cap of all that you have posted for us. We are up-to-date and informed – all thanks to you!

The portion of the clip in Joplin when the resident told President Obama he was glad he was there was very touching. I had mixed feelings about him going to another natural disaster location, because I just feel he can’t go every time.

But clearly this visit was important to the people of Joplin and it was nice for them to hear him say that the country would be behind their rebuilding.

Good Afternoon Chipsticks. Thanks again for all that you do . I hope that President Obama will have a good trip. I just want to say, “We Will Make This Work.” I believe in the man that we put in the Oval Office. We know that if there is a way, he will find it and make it work. We will stand together. I love you all, and I especially thank you again, Chipsticks and BWD for ALL that you do.
