night everyone

President Barack Obama has lunch with Toledo Mayor Michael Bell at Rudy’s Hot Dog in Toledo, Ohio, June 3, 2011. (Official White House Photo by Pete Souza)

The fundraising target for Obama/Biden 2012 at this blog’s page on BarackObama.com was originally $1,000, but you very lovely people reached that target in no time at all. So, I nudged it up to $1,500 – and you reached that today. I can’t keep up with ya! Thank you so much.

Okay, I’ve nudged it up to $2,000, so if you ever have a spare $10 it would be completely great if you could donate (not necessarily through The Obama Diary page – any way at all). Link here (or click the 2012 image on the top of the sidebar on the right). Thank you all again, you’re great.

See you tomorrow 😉

Maybe that’s why he brought Michelle the gift, because he knew she would see this picture. Our President is one cool dude. Just kidding, not about him being cool, but about the other. Goodnight everyone.

This President can go into a factory and get a bigger crowd, a more alive crowd than that stiff flip flopper can as he made his big announcement that he is running for President.

The video of the Mayor of Toledo talking about his ride with President Obama was awesome. I would love to see how David Plouffe responded to that clip. You could not have written a better script. It was a brilliant pr move. The White House knows that their secret weapon is getting good coverage from ‘LOCAL’ media. I can just imagine everyone in Ohio watching their local news and getting to see President Obama complimenting them on their hard work and accomplishments.

The energizer bunny president and his administration are doing the hard work of governing. Meanwhile, the MDM is chasing the former half term governor and obsessing over Anthony Weiners junk.

You are sooo right! Those videos are, in the words of my former gov, “F*%$ Golden” 😀 By a Fox affiliate! Compare and contrast to national media coverage where they said PBO was on the “defensive” because of the job numbers. But the Pres and his team understand this “game” better than the treasonous Repubs and the beltway – its about favorable local coverage and taking the long view and riding out the bumps. I’m so proud that this man is my president and I plan to work hard to get him reelected. Heck, even Mitt keeps talking about 4 terms 😀 (I heard him make that stumble during campaign launch and yesterday).

Good morning, Kasai and Donna can ya’ll create a video of all the Rethugs talking about jobs, jobs, jobs in 2010. Also, include the comment from CSPAN of Rep. steven king calling labor a commodity just like corn, oil, beans and gold. This comment I heard on Rhandi Rhodes show 6-3-11 which she captured from CSPAN.. Since the Democrats loss the House I really can’t tolerate viewing CSPAN.

Can you also include speaker bronze boy’s comment about if public employees lose their jobs so be it. I know I’m asking you guys to elevate your blood pressure and to swim with sharks but your video making has been on point and it would be interesting to see what you design.

Excellent idea Michele. I would add the following paragraph from Minority Leader Pelosi. The MSM would never utter these words:
      ——————————————————————–

For more than five months, the Republican majority has refused to bring a single jobs bill to the House floor; in fact, their ideological agenda only threatens to make matters worse and destroy jobs. Instead, Republicans have voted twice to end Medicare and raise costs for seniors, while providing tax cuts for companies that ship American jobs overseas.

      • June 4, 2011 at 7:40 am

Ladyhawke, I think Donna and Kasai should put the the video together so we can peserve the Republican party’s lies and games and constrast their game playing with the Democratic party which has been been doing all the work to get the economy moving and create jobs…

I just read the article at AARP with the President and he calls the Ryan plan a voucher program and boy oh boy we just may when back the House of Representatives and a larger majority in the Senate come 2012 when the seniors read that article.

Great idea, Michele. We could then each take the videos and send it to every media outlet. Another good video would be one of the media with all their over the top (erroneous) pronouncements every time POTUS is about to address a serious issues — showing how they panic and go about ranting about what the president is going to say. And then it turns out he comes out with a totally different speech than the clairvoyant ones predicted, leaving them with egg on their faces.

Donna, thanks for your coverage of the local reaction in Toledo to the president’s visit. Real America is not the Beltway with the media and politicians who think our lives is a blood sport. When the president leaves Washington we can get a better view of how he is perceived in the rest of the country. The president is more himself when he is out of the bubble; meeting people, shopping in local stores (pays himself with cash- no other president has done so) and, just like any other guy, eating large amounts of junk food.

While the others are lying, showboating, and appealing to the very worse in human nature, PBO is getting the job done.

Good morning all. Donna those videos are wonderful. Local coverage is the best. They know what is important. Now if we can just turn Ohio blue again.

Yes, so nice, thanks Donna. Excellent!!!

    • June 4, 2011 at 7:58 am

Mtmarilyn, governator kaisick’s poll numbers are in the toilet; therefore, Ohio may become Blue again… This is the same governator who called a police officer an idiot for giving him a ticket.

Wow. It is refreshing to see how appreciative the local people are of the hard work this president is doing for them.

    Good Morning My Wonderful Family:

I just wanted to express my dear appreciation for each of you here in this beautiful family. Thanks for the video of the President eating and pay his own way. I love that about him. He is so generous with the people around him. I also love to see him in this element which he loves so much. Our People President. Plus, this made the owners and co-owner so happy. So beautiful. Just think those precious people went home with joy in their hearts a little of a nice tip, and to know that their President took time out to stop and eat at their small business of service. We have to reelect our wonderful President. We Will. This man is just so beautiful in mind and in spirit.
