The original (and much better quality) video is on the RTE website – here. It’s from a documentary about the visits of the Queen and the President and First Lady to Ireland (the part about the President starts at around 19 minutes on the website video)
There’s more coverage of the visit here – Thank you Terick
ME TOO…THAT WAS MY FIRST THO’T SHAME ON ME…AND THEN…THROWING THE QUEEN IN THE CAAAAAAAAR! IT’S TOO MUCH FOR ME!..:))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))
WHAT I AM ‘NOT’ LOOKING FORWARD TO IS THE CONSTANT MEDIA BLITZ ON HER AND HER INCESSANT SCREECHING! SHE COULD KILL A HOUSEPLANT WITH A YAWN! THE WOMAN DOES NOT NEED A BULLHORN! SHE’S MY FRAN DRESCHER NIGHTMARE! IT’S WHEN I WISH I WAS WEARING A HEARING AID BECAUSE I’D TURN IT OFF! IT’S LIKE FINGERNAILS RUNNING ACROSS A CHALKBOARD! SOMEBODY PASS AN AIRLINE BAGGY!
hahahahahahahahahahaha. SUE, you are so funny. 😆 you’re making it hard for me to keep my vow of peace to all living and screeching creatures. 😆 I’m trying to be Christ-like here, but you’re tempting me like nobody’s business. I wonder how long my peace-making, love giving, kumbaya veneer will last….. at a guess, maybe not so long…. I need to say a prayer, just in case 😉
Loved the video, Chipsticks! I really enjoyed that whole day and that brought it all back. All those happy, smiling faces and the President and Michelle enjoying themselves. What fun! I became more aware of the people of Ireland because of his trip — they are sweet, down to earth and have a wonderful sense of humor. Thanks for the memories!
Thank you so much Chipsticks! Really wonderful memories! The Irish are such an amazing people with incredible spirit, energy and love of life! Now I know why I loved the Kennedys family so much.
Thank you so much for that “Week of Welcomes”. To experience the healing between Ireland and England is as awesome as re-experiencing the President’s visit to his roots. Two women leaders toasting each other after centuries of discord. And, I only wish Teddy Kennedy could of seen Barack welcomed in Ireland

Sara who? – forget her and celebrate the gifts of acceptance and forgiveness of ancient hatreds laid to rest.
Thanks Chipsticks for the documentary about PBO and MO’s trip to Ireland. Everytime I see more footage from their visit or the visit to the talkshow by Henry Healy, Ollie Hayes and The Priest who discovered the birth and baptismal records of Falmouth Kearney it gladdens my heart. Thank you to the people of Ireland for their warmth and generousity. 🙂
Hey guys heads up for tomorrow: c-span will be showing live footage at 10:00amET/9:00amCT/7:00amPT of PBO announcing Army Chief of Staff Martin Dempsey as Admiral Mike Mullen’s replacement as Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. Admiral Mike Mullen has served his second and final term. ( I guess anyone in that position can serve only 2 terms.)
On c-span at 10:50amET/9:50amCT/7:50amPT there will be live footage of PBO at Arlington National Cemetery laying a wreath and giving a Memorial Day address.
You can see the compassion in his face. What a good man. One who is not afraid to laugh or cry with you. He gives comfort to so many. I can’t help but remember that picture of Gov. Jay Nixon of Missouri and PBO as he exited the plane. It was as if Jay was comforting Obama and reaching out to let him settle in his arms. To carry such a load it is good to know that there are people who are not afraid to comfort our President, he needs it too.
I hope Moneygall is enriched with visits and continued pride in the future days.Is there a way to see Henry’s twitters on the internet? I haven’t started twittering yet. My next goal.
I love the shot of President Obama boarding AF1 and looking back at Dublin one final time. It’s sort of that look that you give when you hate to say goodbye. It was such a wonderful trip and I am hopeful of great things for Ireland and the Irish people.
I cannot thank you enough for this site. Everyday it brings something new and beautiful to my life. In addition to the most amazing President the world has ever seen, there are so many good people who come here.
It is so wonderful to know that there are people all around the world who care deeply about this president.
Hey Donna, if it wasn’t for truly lovely people like you coming here, this site would be nothing at all – please know how much I appreciate what you bring here, you have the kindest of hearts and the most generous of spirits. Completely love ya!
I came back to watch it again and sat here with a goofy smile on my face. Henry Healy and President Obama are built so much alike! That’s kind of amazing for eighth cousins. They both have prominent ears, about the same height and build. I was looking at their noses and shape of the head. Henry looks like a very kind, sweet guy. Enda Kenney was so happy when President Obama said he was going to visit and he looks so proud when he’s introducing him in Dublin. I love the Dublin speech. I bookmarked this post to come back to again. Wonderful, Chipsticks! Wishing a delightful Memorial Day to all.
Now, I went to RTE and watched the entire footage, the Queen, PBO and Flotus. I will never tire of watching the Potus’ Ireland visit. I will watch and listen to any video and article related to that trip. The Irish are fun and lovely people. Will always cherish them for the welcome they gave our First couple. I will make it a point to visit Ireland during my vist to Europe and call me crazy, but I am definately visiting moneygall. So Moneygall, this black lady and family are popping in. LOL.
Sure, Chipsticks, but my niece will have to upload/post them on here for me. Hehehe and one of those tech/computer challenged people. And I must have my pints of that Guiness!!!!!
Thank you Chipsticks. I watched the entire documentary with more than a few tears. I am reminded about what the President said today about the power of love.
Thank you!
Okay, now I can’t watch that speech without thinking about that crazy “drunk” Obama and Queen….LOL!
😆

BEAUTIFUL!! I can’t get enough of the trip to Ireland.
Henry Healy has been tweeting about how exhausted he is from all the attention. Poor guy!
I just read that on twitter…
”If I tweeted every time a story about Sarah Palin was on cable news, you’d accuse me of spamming.”
The President’ visit in Europe…..not important.
Palin in leather on a bike…….wow….MAJOR news…
Sick sick sick corporate owned media….shame on them….

Chipsticks, If I had you in front of me right now I would get down on my knees and kiss your feet. You have warmed the cockles of my heart.
That speech is one of my favorites. I guess it brings back a flood of memories from the first campaign.
ps-hello nathan
Dorothy, my feet are okay, but I wouldn’t recommend kissing them! 😆
Oh, I forgot to tell you that I have a foot fetish. teehee. Well, at least I did not offer to kiss your behind. dr

That’s the spirit Anne. My spirit won’t allow me to listen to that funk she emits. PBO all the way.

Did you notice that PBO had a lilt in his speech at various times during his visit to Ireland? Cute
