bonsoir 😉
is that lady grabby or not? 😉 right in front of her hubby too but let’s be honest I can’t completely blame her 😆
Fred, where do you guys get the smiley faces? They are so adorable.
Hiya Doris, have a look here:
http://theobamadiary.com/2011/02/08/23561/
Ohhhhhh, you just copy/paste? I’m a novice at some tech stuff.
No not quite Doris.
You must type in the correct keys…so for smiley face the correct keys to type
would be the colon and the left facing parentheses.
For frown face it is the colon and right facing parentheses.
Once you type them in they do know show as keystrokes when you post, they show as the emoticon.
IOW’s I can’t type the keystrokes for you to see, you will only see the emoticon if I do.
thanks.
Actually, you can hover over an emoticon with your mouse, and it will show what characters were typed in to make the symbol. Shortcut!
Thanks Theo. You guys are great!
Thanks Chips. I love this happy place! 😀
You can go to the Word Press FAQ page and I think you’ll see descriptions of different emoticons and then you can do it too! 🙂
Thanks UT!
😛
Oh la la…
:sP
Ahh, so handsome in that first pic.
More good poll news: PBO looking good in Wisconsin; Paul Ryan and other GOP pretenders, not so much.
“A new survey of Wisconsin from Public Policy Polling (D) finds that Rep. Paul Ryan (R), whose proposal to privatize Medicare has become the center of national controversy, is now viewed unfavorably by a plurality of voters back home in this perennial swing state.
The survey finds Ryan with a personal favorability rating of 41%, with 46% unfavorability. In a hypothetical presidential match-up, President Obama leads Ryan by a margin of 50%-43%. The survey of Wisconsin registered voters was conducted from May 19-22, and has a ±2.4% margin of error.
In the previous poll from three months ago Ryan’s favorability was at 36%-35%, and six months ago it was at 38%-30%.
PPP’s Tom Jensen writes: “Ryan’s prudent not to run for the state’s open [Senate] seat given his decline in popularity on the home front.”
Other Republicans also trail Obama, by larger margin’s than the home-state GOPer Ryan. obama leads Newt Gingrich by 53%-35%, leads Sarah Palin by 55%-36%, and leads Mitt Romney by 51%-39%.”

So yeah, run, Sarah, run. I must say all this “breathless” reporting by the stupid media about the nitwit from Alaska’s bus tour is really working my nerves. I’m so sick of this pretense that this dumb woman who couldn’t even govern her state for a full term is actually qualified to be president.
Let her run, and I don’t want to see anyone — including our kind and compassionate President — going easy on this heffa. I don’t want to hear any cries of sexism and that she’s being picked on because she’s a woman. If she can’t take the heat, don’t run. I want to see tough ads about her lack of qualifications, her lack of ethics, the whole bit.
Thanks for the good news POB. I wonder; Is Paul Ryan up for re-election in 2012? There was speculation that he would run for an open Senate seat where a Dem just announced he’s retiring. If he is up for re-election then it would be a BIG get for Dems.
Yep, he’s up for re-election in 2012. Defeating him would be sooooo sweet.
The problem is that once they get kicked out of Congress, then they’re even more dangerous out on the streets because they have no rules to follow anymore. It’s like a dangerous criminal being let out on parole before he’s ready – rather keep him in prison, where we can keep an eye on him and minimize the damage.
He is a US Representative thus all US House seats are up every election, every two years.
Oh yeah TO2012. I totally forgot about that part of US Govt for a second. Haha. Silly me. Thanks for the reminder.
This is good news. Thanks for sharing.
I can’t believe we have to be subjected to another miserable round of Palin’s hate screeching. I see Gawker said we should have been given more warning—-not enough time to stockpile needed drugs—:)—instead of all of a sudden hearing about the Biggy Bus Tour today that launches Sunday, heading to “historic sites” and through the early voting states. Triple Sigh! I thought we were done with her, that she had decided to take a seat and count her dollars. But here we go again—-she’ll probably say God whispered in her ear and told her to run. Funny, I wonder how she justifies her racist dog whistles, her hateful rhetoric and all the racist supporters she attracts. I can’t stand this woman. She represents the worst of what this country has to offer and she will attract tons of media attention, and where’s my Advil?
Could anyone imagine the horror of Palin on the same European tour that President Obama is doing now? It would make Bush look like Einstein and Miss Manners, all rolled into one. She is a reprehensible disaster.
Theo67, I was thinking the same thing while I watched President Obama give that magnificent speech yesterday.
More good poll news for President Obama. This time in New Jersey. So, yeah, run, Christie, run!
FDU: Obama’s approval rating jumps to 55%
This morning’s Fairleigh Dickinson University’s PublicMind™ Poll shows 55% of New Jersey voters approve of President Obama’s job performance, an 8-point uptick from April, while 36% disapprove.
The 19-point spread, 55%-36%, represents an increase from 47%-42% as measured in early April.
Obama’s approval rating increased by a third to 21% from 16% among GOP voters, while Democrats’ approval of the president increased by 9 points to 82% from 73%.
“The president has had a good month,” said Peter Woolley, a political scientist and director of the poll. “In particular, his high profile in foreign policy is reflected in these numbers.
“But people are still anxious about the future,” Woolley added.
One-third of Garden State voters (34%) say the country is headed in the right direction,” essentially unchanged from April (32%). Meanwhile, 51% say the country is ‘on the wrong track.’ Another 15% are unsure.”
Fairleigh Dickinson University conducted the statewide poll of 804 registered voters by telephone using both landlines and cell phones from May 16 through May 22, 2011. The poll has a margin of error of +/-3.5 percentage points.

GO PROUD!!!!!!
The people who are “uncertain about the future” are the very ones who make our futures uncertain.
Michelle maybe should have stuck around one more day. Just kidding. But Carla Bruni is a beautiful gal. I don’t remember looking quite that good when I was “with child”. Hardly. I wonder if Michelle didn’t want to deal with the media-driven fashion face-off with Bruni, some sort of false contest between the two which they always tried to stir up. I do wish Michelle would have stayed for the France leg and then taken off, though she was probably more than ready to head home to her girls and some well-deserved rest after that jam-packed schedule.
I have no clue how PBO is still looking fresh, and not tired. I would be EXHAUSTED keeping up with his European marathon schedules. Especially as it’s being conducted in a different time zone. He sure is the epitome of the Energizer Bunny.
PBO is a natural at this. He really enjoys it. Can u see Pawlenty, Romney, H. Cain, or any of these other repuglian bozos interacting like this? People reciprocate and that makes it easier for him and I think it lifts his spirits. All of these folks should think twice and ascertain if they really, really want to be president. PBO makes it look easy because this was meant for him and he is not in this just for the money or fame.
He is a wonder. He almost always looks like he just awoke from a long winter’s nap, peppy, eager, happy, engaging and always at the top of his game. He’s un-be-lievable!
I know, he gets more and more beautiful everyday. I don’t know how he handles this schedule. Let’s all keep the prayers and positive thoughts going for him tho, poor guy his work plate is super full.
Congrats to Carla on her bundle of joy on the way
Thanks! I wish her a safe delivery 🙂
A lot of people standing around all willy-nilly in that first pic (at least right now it’s the first pic). I’m sure tarmacs often look like that, but I don’t like it. I like to see more order around my Prez — hmph!
Carla looks lovely — the dress is a little too short, but she looks very lovely.
Yeah, where’s my favorite secret service guy?
Yeah, where’s Shadow?
Hey, I thought I was the only one who called him Shadow…..LOL. He is always there.
are you talking about that tough bald guy? 🙂
That’s funny because I think it’s a great picture. Especially because it shows him almost walking in slow motion and all the action going on around him looks like it’s at a stand still as he walks by. Great visual.
I agree it’s a great photograph, composition-wise. It is visually very interesting. It reminds me of photo of him before he was president, moving through a train station. But I *needs* more organization around my Prez, lol! (Although I am aware that often the images we see as very cropped so we don’t see all that’s going on around him.)
And all the non-administration/secret service folks are only looking at President Obama.
I noticed that too.
yeah I agree PJ.I’d love a LOT more SS around the President myself
It is not a airport tarmac, it is a street along the sea. See the sidewalk and NO PARKING sign: ) Those are not commonly on tarmacs.
I was thinking the exact same thing about the dress. It’s shorter than her husband.
😆
omg.
Beautiful legs though, who can blame her?
Bonsoir Monsieur le President
Bonsoir Barack… 🙂
Thanks again Chipsticks for such wonderful pictures. As always PBO is looking amazing!!
I am still excited about seeing him here in London, it was a dream come true! I have to confess to being envious of all those lucky people who were able to shake his hand, I guess he was unable to go ‘walk about’ here with his exhausting schedule. Mind you it was probably a good thing considering my reaction to just seeing him in the beast!! Words can not express how much I love and admire him and Michelle (but especially Barack!)
We already miss him here but wish him well in France. I can’t wait until he returns here or to Ireland as I will definately go see him again!!!
😀 😀
🙂
Got it! Thanks fig8jam!!! 🙂
GREEEEAT!!! Yay!
🙂 🙂
I’m an old lady, over 60, so I’m a little slow. The light bulb went off with your instructions. 🙂
I’m right there with you.
I couldn’t believe they had a name for things ’emoticon’…? I was like…oh..emotions icon..lol lol
MY GRANDPA WAS A JOKER…I HAD TO TAKE FRENCH CLASS…THE TEACHER ONLY SPOKE FRENCH SO WE REALLY HAD TO LEARN. WE HAD TO BRING A PHRASE TO CLASS SO JOKING GRANDPA HELPED ME WITH MY HOMEWORK…UNFORTUNATELY FOR ME…IT WAS ‘VOUS ET LE GRANDE DERRIERE!’ I HAD NO IDEA WHAT IT MEANT! BOY DID I GET IN TROUBLE!
Hahahahahahaha…. OMG!!!! I love your grandpa. Such a cheeky trick and joke. 😉
LOLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL…I HAD A FUNNY GRANDPA…HOWEVER THE FRENCH TEACHER WAS NOT LAUGHING!…:))))))))
Haha! Grandpa is a smart alec, huh. 🙂
I wish each and everyone of you a good afternoon;evening and night 😀
May GOD bless you ALL and bless;guide and protect the President while in Paris.May GOD protect the First Lady on her flight back home.
I wish the same to you, The Obamas and everyone in the Obama administration. Have a great night Fred. 🙂
BLESSINGS TO YOU FRED…SEE YOU ON THE NEXT OD ROUND!…:)
I DON’T THINK SARKOZY’S WIFE IS THE PRESIDENT TYPE…SOMEHOW I DON’T SEE HER DIGGING INTO A WHITEHOUSE GARDEN OR HOOLA-HOOPING WITH THE ‘LET’S MOVE’ KIDS. PRESIDENT OBAMA IS MORE DOWN TO EARTH AND MICHELLE IS HIS PERFECT MATCH! I THINK MICHELLE WAS TIRED…MISSED HER GIRLS AND IT WAS TIME TO GO HOME! ALL THAT PRANCING AROUND IS NOT THAT MUCH FUN YOU KNOW. IT’S TIRING!
I’d have to agree with you Sue. Not to take anything away from Carla, but due to her modelling past, every picture and video I see of her she is always aware of every camera angle and is always in some sort of contrived pose. It’s not very “real” to me. PBO and MO seem less aware of every camera angle and are just more natural in their demeanor.
IT LOOKS LIKE WE’RE GETTING MORE STORMS…I HOPE ITS NOT ANOTHER NIGHT LIKE LAST NIGHT…BLESSINGS ALL…LATER!…:)
Stay safe!
Another update on the Prez tubmbing approving ratings (he, he)
Qunnipiac FL

Michelle should be home by now, or close to it.
Yes, hope so. Grandma probably needs a break. 😛
Ok this is just too funny. PBO is saying: “Back the hell up!”
http://nymag.com/daily/intel/2011/05/from_the_time_capsule_dominiqu.html
You beat me to it! I just saw that and was coming to post the link here! LOL! Even then President Obama knew that man was a creep! Haha! The look on his face is priceless!
Michelle looks like she knows she has nothing to worry about, because her husband is on the case.
Hahaha thanks for the link. All the comments on NY Mag were F-U-N-N-Y 😆
Just saw this on another blog. Very funny. And the comments are truly hilarious. Everyone is adding caption to what the parties are thinking and they are pretty hilarious.
Can you post a link to the other blog? Thanks!
It was actually just ont he Twitter Roll from WSY. The link up above is much better.
okay. No problem.
OMG!! I remember this.
Michelle had greeted everyone with a hug..but not him. POTUS would not allow it!! When he started in for the hug..Obama restrained him, Michelle looked at POTUS and then held out her hand, instead.
lmbo..
The video is even funnier, he is not letting that lecher close to her at all.
POTUS was NOT EVEN playing with this phucker!
Lol do you have the video or could provide a link. Thanks.
Mr. O sensed the (alleged) rapist even before the scandel lol…he knows what’s up and he is not having any of it! ‘Back off my MiMi’ 😆
scandal
I think Chips has it in the archive..it’s from the 2009 G-20 Summitt in Pittsburgh which the Obama’s hosted.
k cool. Thanks
Love it Proud, just posted it – thank you! 😆
Congrats to Carla and Mr Sarkozy!! Carla looks beautiful. I didn’t realised she was that taller than her man! PBO handsome as always…no one could test 😉
I love the first picture. Congrats to the french president and his wife (she looks stunning). Real talk tho, I am jealous as hell. I been wanting our first couple to have just one more little Obama (a boy please) ever since inauguration day. 😥
OMG me tooooo!! I knew she said that she is not going to have more kids on Ellen during the campaign but I was still hoping…maybe she would forget to take her pills all kind of thing. I don’t see it happening anymore though 😦
Man that picture is funny as h311, I can just hear the President saying “Now look, you need to settle down old fella.”
Watching Hardball and boy is Chris & Company are really carrying on about how great Bill Clinton was and is…OMG! Chris had the “good” fortune the other day of getting a chance to “chat” with Bill. Chris, Howard Fineman and Chris (Lizza sp) more or less said should help the Dems with the deficit issue because he (Bill) has such great ideas about everything and he has the gift of explaining things plainly in 30 seconds instead of 20 minutes!!!!!!!!!! OMG!
i was going to watch Chris at 7, but screw that shit!! 😕
I have never understood why those men engage in such fellatio with WJC!!
You’d think after the dress stain, they would know he is not on their team!!
Howard Fineman is NOT on Obama’s team. And he will use every and any opportunity to undermine the President – if it means pushing Bill Clinton in the spotlight at Obama’s expense, he’ll be more than happy to do so.
Um, I was talking about the all male team, as in not hetero.
Hahaha we understand fig8jam. 😆
Ever since Howard Fineman became media editor for Huffington Post he’s unbearable.
Fineman can eat my crusty big toe.
Oh shoot…. hahahahahaha.. I have got to get that image outta my head. You don’t want Fineman eating your “crusty big toe.” Get a sexy man like Boris Kodjoe, Johnny Depp, Denzel Washington, Will Smith, Drake, Ryan Reynolds, George Clooney, Blair Underwood, Blake Griffin, Reggie Bush……….
hahahahahahaha!!! Too true, Austin!
LOL fig8jam! Didn’t even cross my mind…I’m too slow 🙂
I’m telling you these pundits/media folks feel inadequate around Obama.
Wow. Pretty obvious that Bill is working the phones in Washington right now. And he’s screwing up President Obama and VP Biden’s strategy.
Bill Clinton is good at certain things but boy he really gets on my nerves. To Bill Clinton: history will recognize PBO as a better president than you. DEAL WITH IT !!!!!
Matthews, Fineman and a lot of others can’t deal with complexity. They’re too ignorant and not smart enough. Clinton makes them feel intelligent. So they love him.
God. Those are the guys on national tv, folks. Walter Cronkike must be turning in his grave.
Is that a security boat out on the water? Maybe our SEALS6? POTUS’s protection is our highest priority. Also is that Shadow standing in a suit at the water’s edge? I’ve been studying everyone there. The SS is always on the job. I am use to them being right with him.
I’m glad the speculation over. Carla looks great and ‘Jnr’ looks like the proud papa.
