Ynetnews: US President Barack Obama continues to be popular among American Jews – in fact 15% more popular than Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, according to a poll conducted by Israeli lobby J-Street….

According to the poll, Obama managed to maintain his popularity among 59% of American Jews  ….  In contrast, only 44% of American Jews continued to pledge their support to Netanyahu….

Pollster Jim Gerstein told Ynet the survey results prove that whoever thinks Jewish support of the American president has been declining is “detached from reality.”

….Obama’s approval among his Jewish constituencies continues to be higher by 15% than that of the general public. The pollster added that Israel’s declaration of construction in Jerusalem annoyed not only Obama but also American Jews, who thought Israel’s behavior was inadequate based on its close relations with the US…..

AFP: The majority of Israelis believe their prime minister should have supported US President Barack Obama’s outline for new peace talks with the Palestinians, according to a poll published Wednesday.

The survey, published in the Maariv newspaper, found 10 percent of Israelis thought Benjamin Netanyahu should have “declared his support for the president’s remarks with no reservations.”

Another 46.8 percent said the Israeli leader should have expressed support “but with reservations,” while 36.7 percent said Netanyahu should have declared his opposition to Obama’s principles for the peace process…..

Tulips, I am so pissed and disgusted at the actions of our congress. I wish we would all call or email them about their disgusting — treasonous — behavior of going against their President. This morning the lying media was frothing at the mouth to report the number of standing ovations Bibi received. It’s thoroughly disgusting. Bibi is going to make Israel lose a lot of friends.

HA!… Take that Rethugs and the fools at Morning Joe. Netanyahu has got to realize that he is living in an ever changing political and societal landscape. The dynamics have shifted and he needs to stop behaving like a bully. Nobody is denying that Palestine with its alliance with Hamas and Fatah is heading the wrong way. Hamas has to acknowledge Israel’s right to exist; but Israel has to compromise also. They can’t keep demanding and demanding with no room for concessions.

So far the British media are LOVING the dress. The little coverage from American media showed that many people loved the dress also. A lot of American media have been conducting polls on the State Dinner and people who voted LOOOVED the dress. Every poll has her winning by a landslide. But I’m sure there’ll be the requisite landscape of haters as usual.

THE ISRAELI AND PALESTINIAN LEADERS NEED TO SET THEIR ANGST ASIDE FOR THE SAKE OF THEIR FOLLOWING GENERATIONS. THIS WOULD BE THEIR COMBINED OPPORTUNITY TO LEAVE A BEAUTIFUL LEGACY FOR THEIR CHILDREN AND GRANDCHILDREN.

IMHO, Bibi will come around to seeing eye to eye, however grudgingly, with PBO. We only have to wait to read the headlines, though they may be buried under some useless drivel in the media. The winds of change will not bypass Israel. These old coots are on their way out.

You would have to be blind or delusional not to see that President Obama is a true friend to Israel. Look at his history…he is criticized by folks like West for his relationship with Jews. Please!

Good!! I thought this would be the case that the people would side with President Obama who is the reasonable one. It was not hard to predict that Bibi and the treasonous congress (some democrats and right wingers) are behind the curve on this and are acting as though the situation in the Middle East is static.

Any reasonable person can see that if Israel and its friends do not act fairly NOW then the uprisings we are seeing in that region will swallow them up and probably do lasting damage to the sustainablity and peace of the state of Isreal

Ms. Chips? Would it be proper etiquette stuff this down Petty Nettie’s and the Repug throats? I’m sure it would go down well with the cup of smack down PBO and Cameron delivered in their address earlier by whole heartedly supporting the 1967 lines and by a Dem grabbing onto a Repug district.

This just proves how smart and intelligent this President is!!! Netanyahu is still left wondering who used that anvil upside his head and when it will come out again. I think he now understands – President Obama walks very softly and carries a very hard anvil.

Regster that’s a great description. When Bibi regained consciousness he was being helped to his feet by members of Congress who told him, “Great fight. You want us to drive you to the emergency room?”
