Thank you, titti! What fun to feel a part of a global community. It looks like a lot of people were lining the streets, too.

Awwww thanks for posting em Chips.

@ Suzanne – there were tons of people at both locations I went to (Westminster Abbey and Downing st.). I’m not one for exercise (no buses you have to walk) otherwise I would have ventured down to Buckingham Palace.

OT: Mrs O is going to Oxford Uni tomorrow with a group of students from the Elisabeth Garrett Anderson School where she gave that emotional speech on her 1st visit to London. She has been keeping in touch with the school and asked for the girls to be invited (from (hard copy) London Evening Standard).

CHIPSTICKS, please use a capital ‘T’ next time. Your titles are going to be ‘the death of me’ one of these days! 😦 For the number of times I’ve fallen for your ‘gotcha’ titles you’d think I’d be far more wary, but nooooo. Do you have any idea how many time I went over the pics, back and forth, trying to spot this ‘toddler’? I spotted the solitary soul on the balcony of the second picture, and peered myopically, but no toddler, so I gave up and went to read the comments.

I suppose it helps my feelings to discover that I’m usually not the only one who get caught. 😉

Thanks for the job you’ve been doing. 😆 I tell you girl, I have NEVER travelled so much in my life until I linked arms with you, and the TOD family members are such wonderful travel companions!

[P.S. I am seriously considering travelling for real in 2013 for the Inauguration. I can’t remember which family member suggested the idea of meeting up, but it has been lingering in the back of my mind, and as time draws nearer I sure hope the idea will be explored.]

Hiya VC! The problem is because of the WordPress theme I use for this site, I can’t use capital letters in the post titles – weird! But your toddler mistake left me weepin’ laughing 😆

Completely love ya VC, I’d be a lonely old traveler if I didn’t have you and the rest of the gang on this beautiful trip 😉

You cracked me up VC, I looked for the toddLer too !

I’ll be at the Inauguration come hell or highwater, I’m moving to MD this year.. so maybe I’ll be in a position to host some out of towners by then 🙂 🙂

Isn’t it awesome to be able to laugh together as we do? Being seriously technology challenged*, I have never enjoyed my computer as much as I have since finding the PBO-loving sites.

Sheri, is MD really close to Washington? My American geography is non-existent and I’m really not much of a traveller, but the idea of being there for the next PBO inauguration has really lodged itself in my head. The suggestion was made to rent a combined suite (or suites?) so that those TOD members who couldn’t handle the boots-on-the-ground aspect would stay/meet there and watch together, then connect up later and celebrate with those TOD-ers who had been in the thick of the action. I figure something like this would have to be planned in advance, so I hope we’ll remind ourselves periodically as the time approaches, because PBO’s 2nd Inauguration would be such a good time to have a ‘family reunion’.

[* Example = Don’t laugh, but my mouse wasn’t working and I couldn’t get the scroll thingie to move so I figured something was wrong with my new (1 year old) laptop and I would probably have to take it back to the dealer. The laptop was a present which I had barely used all these months because it was ‘strange’ and my old computer was doing fine. However, during the past week The Obama Diary wasn’t clear and it would sometimes wiggle around, which forced me to look again at the laptop. So here I was trying to remember where I had put the paperwork (given to me by the gift giver)in order to get the laptop checked out, when my tech-aware sister dropped by. I mentioned my frustration with both computers in limbo. Problem? The mouse needed a new battery….. I had 2 packages of those lying around! No need for a trip to the dealer, after all. ;)]

Oh VC too funny about your mouse, I’m very glad it worked out to be something easy.

I’m moving to Baltimore – two of my sons live near there and I think DC is only 30 minutes or so depending on traffic from DC 🙂 And it is accessible by Metro- subway. So yep it is very doable. I’m moving by end of summer or early fall.. and so will, hopefully have time to get things relatively liveable before the election. As long as I’m there, as long as I’ve got a home thats got room (thats my plan)- then my doors will be open to TODDERS. Count on it.

🙂 I sure hope there’ll be a discussion on this as the election gets closer.

ROFL – you guys are too much. Toddler indeed. Had to ‘retire’ early yesterday (I would’ve been in hospital had I walked to B. Palace).

It was a pleasure guys, only wished I had actually gotten some outstanding snaps.
