A painting of U.S. President Barack Obama stands next to a replica pint of Guinness in a shop in Moneygall

There’s better news for Moneygall today! (There was talk yesterday that the weather would prevent the President from visiting there):

RTE: On arrival, Mr Obama and his wife, Michelle, will travel to Áras an Uachtaráin to meet President Mary McAleese and afterwards he will meet Taoiseach Enda Kenny at Farmleigh.

Mr Obama is then expected to fly by helicopter to his ancestral home in Moneygall in Co Offaly.

If the weather does not allow for helicopter travel, there are alternative plans to transport Mr Obama to Moneygall, the Department of Foreign Affairs has said. Met Éireann has forecast that tomorrow will be extremely windy or stormy, especially in Connacht and Ulster.

Tomorrow evening, he will return to Dublin to make a public address after a free open air concert on College Green.

** Thank you TeamObama **

Catch you all later – have a blissful Sunday 😉

Hey guys C-SPAN ONE will carry the President’s AIPAC speech live at 9:30am ET/8:30am CT/6:30amPT. You can also
    catch it at http://www.c-span.org

MSNBC will also carry the speech live at 9:30amET/8:30amCT/6:30amPT

CNN will also carry the speech live at 9:30am ET/8:30amCT/6:30amPT. You can also catch it at http://www.cnn.com/live

The general consensus is that all major cable news stations will show the speech live b/c they’re breathless at “oooooh.. what kind of reception will Pres. Obama get.. will they boo?… will he say more “controversial” stuff?”.. lame media. But I’ll be watching because I want to hear The Only Adult in The Room speak intelligently about an important issue.

CORRECTION: all coverage of the speech begins at 10:30amET/9:30amCT/7:30amPT

Also Breaking News: Herman Cain The Pizza dude has officially entered the 2012 Presidential race. His reason: He wants to rid America of muslim terrorists and he wants us to return to using gold as our currency. Hmmmm.. okay looney bins… see you in 2012. Chipsticks you might want to pull out your red pen just for the pure LOL of his so called candidacy.

Yup Austin Liberal. An idiot Teabagger was holding a “Yes We Cain” sign at Herman’s announcement yesterday. What a laugh!

The repugs just might let him do it, ala Alan Keyes circa 2004 v. Obama in Illinois. It might start looking light too much of a humiliation for anybody serious (i.e., a Great White Hope) to take the beating. Then again, Mittens seems immune to any sort of embarrassment…

        OBAMA ROLL 2012.

You are so right PJ – every so often, the repugs finds one who is willing to be tricked into humiliation and to forever be relegated to “who was that black guy?”.

Good morning friends, don’t forget to set your alarms to wake up in the am to see the President’s arrival….

In addition, I enjoyed the BBC interview because of the great questions and Mr. marr’s professionalism.. I also appreciate the fact that I don’s see a comments section on their website. As the President said most politicans keep talking instead of listening…and the President enjoyed the interviewer so I have no doubt he will be invited back…

I enjoyed this interview. It was so refreshing. I have been listening to what the president is trying to do with Israel and he outlined it like he was talking with a child. I hope those idiots (please excuse the language) will LISTEN and not just TALK as the president stated. I now have such a clearer view! Thank you Mr. President for your intelligence and foresight!

I just watched the interview and I too tremendously enjoyed it. The President was on point on every topic. Always consistent no matter what time or day. The interviewer was polite and not overly aggressive like some media folk over here. I appreciate how the President once again outlined in clear words what he meant about the 1967 borders. AIPAC and others need to remove the plethora of wax in their ears and LISTEN.

My oh My does the Queen love the Obamas or what. Pres. Obama said that in April 2008 when he first visited England he met with the Queen and the ENTIRE Royal Family. He was still a candidate then. Just goes to show how much genuine charisma he posesses that the Queen was enamored. I love that the First Daughters and FLOTUS got to have a super private tour of Buckingham Palace and a carriage ride on the grounds. Yep… next week is gonna be a LOVE FEST for the Obamas. 😀

    Hello all, two interesting articles.

1, Obama’s “Irish Brigade” will march on Ireland for president’s visit,
Close Irish aides call themselves the ‘Murphia’

While reading article I noticed that they forgot that the S O S is also Irish-American

2, Maureen Dowd writes column form Moneygall:

The Irish Brigade article was too cute! For such a little country, Ireland sure has made its mark on the world. Like many black people in this country, I have Irish ancestors — they sure did get around, lol.

I am still laughing about Mitch Daniels.

You would think “the worst President in the history of America” would have some REAL opponents!!!

      He’s got the pizza guy – isn’t that a “real” opponent? 😉

I saw a snippet last night of his “coming out” speech on the evening news, and he was wearing sunglasses on stage, and looking a little crazed. They can’t be serious.

Please join me in lighting a candle for our beloved President as he speaks before AIPAC and travels later today to Europe.

Just finished listening to the interview. Thank you Chipsticks! The interviewer gave POTUS the respect that allowed him to complete his answers which in turn gave the interviewer 3 1/2 more minutes than the originally allotted 18 minutes. I enjoyed the interview very much.

Outstanding interview. I could listen to our eloquent, intelligent, insightful President all day long. There isn’t one republican who could do this like he does. Not one.
