OT: Just watched Netanyahu speak after he and POTUS had a meeting in the Oval Office. He said that the 1967 lines are indefensible. That he would not accept talks that included the 1967 borders as the foundational point. He said that he wants peace but that he would not sit down with President Abbas when the Palestinian govt made an agreement with Hamas and Fatah (this is reasonable b/c Hamas is a terrorist group that has attacked Israel with bombs and verbally attacked POTUS for the killing of OBL). He also said that something has to be done about the Palestinian refugees who are in parts of Jerusalem, b/c Jerusalem belongs only to Israel (Huh?… excuse me?). Then he said that extended Military protection will have to be provided on the borders of Jordan (Helloooo…. Bibi who do you think is going to pay for that?) He, like the lame media mistook what POTUS said about the 1967 borders. He said that foundations for discussion would have to begin there but swaps would have to be made to reflect the changing times. Netanyahu just made demands after demands with no room for compromise. And he deigns to call himself an adult. You could feel the cold atmosphere in the room between POTUS and cry baby Netanyahu. NYT reported that he told Sec. of State Clinton to tell POTUS to remove the part of the speech that contained the 1967 borders talk and was mad that POTUS didn’t comply. Hellooooooo.. Bibi??… you don’t come to AMERICA and have the audacity to dictate to OUR PRESIDENT. Might I remind him that Israel needs the United States more than we need them, so he’d better watch it and calm down.

The body language was obvious PBO doesn’t trust Netanyahu. I don’t trust him either and he knows PBO is going to be reelected so he better behave because Eric Cantor won’t save his sorry ass when push comes to shovel. Obama 2012. 2 more days to moneygall.

People like Netanyahu are giving the people of Israel a bad name. I can’t imagine that everyone thinks this way in Israel. Why did they agree to the borders in 1967 if they had no intention of abiding by them? Their arrogance is too much.

Nethan seems to be a little nervous, the body language showed weakness, President Obama knows he got the ups on him. listening to the radio, the people in israel is backing Obama they see this as being their last and only chance from peace.

And the European union, Russia and other countries all endosed PBO’s vision for the middle east, so Netanyahu will regret it if he things he is going to ride the changes that are happening in the midle east out.

I just watched Netty and POTUS on C SPAN. If Netty thinks he can bully POTUS with his “you are the leader of a large country, while I only have a small country…bullsh – then he’s clearly not aware of how POTUS handled D Chump. This is gonna be interesting to see how it plays out.

So I watched the clip from this presser and Mr. Netayahoo or whatever his name is, sounded basic as hell. His voice was shaky like he was gonna start crying at one point. uggggg, I think we have a another John Boehner here.

I love how POTUS just observed this dinosaur, smirked at the b.s, then proceeded to bid the press corpse good day. Our President’s game face is win all day everyday. πŸ˜€

    NObody likes them!

Less than a year after a cadre of Republican firebrands swept into statehouses from Ohio to Florida to Wisconsin, voters are turning on them. John Avlon on what this means for 2012.

Thanks UT – I only caught the last heartfelt words from President Obama, but the crowd certainly likes him! They clapped for a LONG time, and seemed really proud. That was nice – I’m sure it gave him a boost after doing battle with Netanyahu. I remember the last time the President was there, the morale wasn’t so high – can’t remember what had happened, I think it was the kerfuffle with Nancy Pelosi. What a great vibe today – really great.

Oh Theo67 I remember what happened. 7 American solidiers and personnel had been killed suddenly during a surprise attack. You are right that the morale was not high because it came as a shock. Out of nowhere. 😦

I just came across this article on a radio site featuring the Randi Rhodes show. Sort of troubling.

Hey EDP4BHO I read the article and trust me you have nothing to worry about. First of all The Daily Caller is a right wing propagandist machine created by Tucker Carlson.. who is a conservative looney bin. Always take what they report with a grain of salt… nope scratch that.. with 10,000 buckets of salt. The website is total trash and not reputable. So have hope and keep smiling. πŸ˜€

On my way home but I was so hoping someone would fill me in on this. Thanks much. Will read your post further this evening.

    • May 20, 2011 at 6:43 pm

Honest EDP4BHO, I wouldn’t worry about any “informal” poll quoted by the Daily Caller, it’s just Tucker Carlson’s right wing pile of crap. The poll the other day (I forget if it was Gallup or PPP) showed the President’s figures with people in that age group and with that education were still very strong. πŸ˜‰

Thanks again to UT Austin, and to you. Oh, I know about Tucker, just wasn’t familiar with his daily rag. I was telling a sister last night how all of these haters are quite miserable because they get up and go to bed thinking of ways to hurt PBO, and thus all of us. If the rapture isn’t happening tomorrow, I wish something would take all these miscreants and propel their smug asses into outer space, let em float around for a millenia πŸ˜€

Yes, I was quite looking forward to the rapture ridding us of all the so-called “right wing Christians”, so we can get on with our lives.
