hey big spender….

GOPolitico: Newt Gingrich, a fiscal conservative? Not when it comes to Tiffany’s. In 2005 and 2006, the former House speaker carried as much as $500,000 in debt to the premier jewelry company…

Gingrich, who represented Georgia in Congress for two decades, retired in 1999. But his wife, Callista Gingrich, was employed by the House Agriculture Committee until 2007, according to public records. She listed a “revolving charge account” at Tiffany and Company in the liability section of her personal financial disclosure form for two consecutive years and indicated that it was her spouse’s debt. The liability was reported in the range of $250,001 to $500,000.

When asked by POLITICO whether Gingrich has settled this debt, and why he owed between a quarter-million and a half-million dollars to a jeweler, Rick Tyler, Gingrich’s spokesman, declined to comment.

I loathe The Newtser, is that why Callista doesn’t blink because she might miss spotting some new jewelry pieces to put on her husband’s credit card. They need to take a page from Michelle, your man will love u and people will love u without being plastic and fake.

How many of you ever wonder- when hearing in instant replay the Grinch’s reply to the Christian Broadcasting Network’s question as to why he cheated on his wives: Ans: ‘I was working so hard and am obviously so patriotic that I had to cheat,’ -then if the Grinch felt he was working so hard as Speaker that he had to cheat, then why wasn’t the follow-up question been:’Then we can expect a hell of a lot more boinking if you ever became president, yes?’
ps- an idiot just asked Jay Carney what PBO’s reaction to the Chump’s decision not to run. Ingrates.

      oh-oooo. Sorry, it’s seem’s I double posted.
Correction: forget the ‘been’ before the follow-up question.

That’s a very good question. Won’t he become even more “patriotic” and have to work even harder when he’s Commander-in-Chief, Chief Executive of the Government, Head of State and in charge of foreign and domestic policy – working through Congress? Callista should beware.

I can’t believe that some stupid “journalist” had the temerity to ask the White House Spokesperson about the Chump – when we have potential economic meltdown because of the debt limit and the IMF Director scandal, murders in Syria, tension in the Middle East, and a whole host of domestic challenges. They are so shallow.

I know that “Nasty Newt’s” picture must be by the word hypocrite in Webster’s dictionary. His bid for presidency is dead on arrival. 🙂 I am loving the posts today. They are great everyday but today is special. 🙂

Gosh this is only tuesday and political and world news keeps coming at the speed of light. I just saw Lawrence O’Donnell talking with Martin Bashir on MSNBC about this Newt Tiffany & Co story and I come to the website and bam! Chipsticks has the story up and running. Then you have the IMF head Dominique Strauss Kahn who allegedly raped, kidnapped, abused a hotel maid and is trying to pass it off as consensual (the pig), then Arnold Schwarzenegger having a child with a housekeeper who worked in he and Maria’s home for 20 years, then the Chump idiot backing out of the Presidential race (media whore), then the Libyan oil minister defecting to Tunisia, then the U.S. possibly doling out sanctions to Syria. Holy crap…. like I said it’s only tuesday.

Say what? Wow that is crazy. Half a million dollars or more on store credit? That amount of money could pay off my school fees, buy real estate, a nice car, keep my refrige packed for a year, etc etc. See stuff like this is another reason why I love president Obama and FLOTUS. They understand what middle/lower class Americans are going through. Goodness, my POTUS doesn’t spend money recklessly, whether while governing or in his personal life. Mr. and Mrs. Gingrich are both examples of the GOP’s reckless spending both while governing and obviously personally..*smh*

      Well, Proud,
Gingrich did tell his second wife that it’s not what he does, it’s what he says and “people just want to hear him say it” when she asked him about appearing holier than thou while cheating on her with K-Lista.

Huntsman would be ravaged by the teabaggers – he’d have to be a fool to step into that primary.

But, I personally hope he is a fool because the surest path to a terminal schism within the rapidly fracturing Republican party is the remaining institutional conservatives correctly supporting a Huntsman while Ron Paul or one of the other lunatics launches a 3rd party since that is the only way that any of them will hold the support of the teabaggers (and the not-so-secret craving of the PL – yes, GG and Sirota and Jane, I’m looking at you).

We will not have seen anything like the next 18 months in American politics with the exception of 150 years ago when ol’Jeff Davis resigned from the Senate in 1861 and returned home to start a war.

    I’m In!

Did you see the video of that guy who got in Gingrich’s face in Iowa?

    http://www.cbsnews.com/8301-503544_162-20063613-503544.html

Notice how the Republican is shaking his hand the whole time he’s confronting him. I give Newt another 2 weeks and he’s OUT.

Hey Meta, Newt is DOA. Kharma is a B####. He has said so many nasty things about PBO. He is reaping what he has sown. I know my husband think that I am crazy. I have been laughing all day about Newt. Randi Rhodes has been on his case also. That video is priceless. 🙂
