AP: President Barack Obama’s re-election campaign is barely a month old, but Camille Gervasio and other volunteers nationwide already are hard at work. “Are you with us? Are you in?” Gervasio asks into her iPhone, dialing through a call sheet resting on her laptop to line up supporters for an election 18 months away.
In call centers like this one on the eighth floor of an office building, the president’s backers are trying to take advantage of a head start over the still-forming Republican field and the benefits of incumbency to rebuild a grassroots effort that mobilized millions of voters in 2008.
Obama’s campaign has pledged to reach out to every voter it was in contact with during his first run, a herculean 50-state organizational effort to reconnect with its supporters … the campaign also is spending much of its time and money trying to build foundations of support early in battleground states like Pennsylvania, New Mexico and Ohio…
…In some ways, Obama’s first campaign never folded. After he was elected, he turned it into an organization called Organizing for America to communicate with supporters, rally them behind his policies and encourage get-out-the-vote efforts during the midterm elections…
…Since Obama officially announced his re-election campaign in early April, his advisers have been working to reignite the grassroots campaign that was inspired by Obama’s days as a community organizer. Under the slogan “I’m In!,” volunteer events are under way across the country, from brainstorming sessions at coffee houses to holding phone banks, house parties and door-to-door neighborhood canvassing events……

2012…You Better Believe…..I’M IN!
Good Morning all.
Does this site look funny to anyone else???? I don’t see the header, and a few other things look wonky….
Hi PJ, oh flip, you’re the second person to say that – it looks normal to me so I can’t figure it out. Hopefully it’s some odd glitchy thing that will fix itself. Gulp.
It looked different to me on the ipad last night, but on our mini mac home computer screen this morning it looks the same as always.
oh wait, now that o put in a comment it all changed. yes, it looks different on our home computer too! For instance t the top it is a big red rectangle without the words “The Obama Diary.”
I can see all the text and the pics, but it seems like a different background, and again I can’t see the header (and the lovely of our de-bowtieing Prez :-)). I first noticed it last night but thought everything would be better in the morning. Then when it wasn’t, I rebooted my computer.
I’m sure it will work itself out.
Thanks for all you do :-).
Thanks for that PoliticalJunkessa, I just had someone else contact me reporting the same problems – weird. I’ll see if I can find out what’s going on, thank you again 😉
ALL I CAN SAY IS….’I’M DEFINITELY IIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIINNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN! AND I AM SO EXCITED TO SEE THE BOOKER T. COMMENCEMENT TODAY!!!!!! IT’S GOING TO BE A ‘YEEEEEEEEEHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH’ MOMENT!
I’m IN!!! I feel so excited about this election.
And as a bonus, I can see the header!
I am in!!!!! I am so glad to hear they are reaching out to all 50 states. We need to be in all the states to fight for congressional seats. This president is at 59%. That is wonderful. Maybe people will wake up. We will be having a big senatorial fight here in MT. So we will be gearing up for a big fight.
Heyyyyyyyyyyy~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ I’M IN~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~YEP, I’M IN***************** Oh,BY THE WAY,^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ I’M IN%%%%%%%%%%%%% 🙂
The President’s re-election is of paramount importance. Right behind that, though, IMHO, is the need to knock out all these teapublicans in the House and make the great Nancy Pelosi Majority Leader again….while holding the Senate.
The baggers have had their fun, accomplishing nothing but wasting time and money. Time for the bastards to go!
