I just found out NBC cancelled The Event. What a shame. It’s my favorite show.

Wow, wasn’t expecting that. I thought they would at least give it another season. But at least my favorite show Parenthood was renewed. So I’m happy 🙂

I was getting into that show, too. That’s why I’ve basically given up watching shows – they cancel them with no good reason, and keep trash like Apprentice. I’m surprised they cancelled it with so many named stars on that show.

I can’t believe how grown-up Rahm’s littlest daughter looks. Maybe it’s her hair but she looks like a little 12 year-old.

Chicago is a tough, wonderful city and Rahm seems like the perfect guy to be their mayor. He’s had such a broad range of experience in government and is the kind of man that looks like he would make a good governor someday. I’m looking forward to following his experiences in Chicago.

I had to smile at that first photo of Joe and Rahm though. I think it would be so interesting to hear what they said, but I suspect a good portion of it would have been bleeped.

    Congratulations, Mayor Emanuel!

I always stuck up for Mayor Daley when others would criticize—-because he helped make and keep Chicago a beautiful world-class city, when other big cities have not fared so well, and, as Rahm noted, no mayor ever loved his city more. I know Rahm loves Chicago too and will give it his all and will take it onward and upward from here. He’s a smart, tough, determined and (shhhhh) compassionate guy. I expect big improvements in needed areas such as education reform. Congrats to Rahm! Go get ’em!

Wonderful! Mayor Rahm Emanuel, Mayor of Chicago! I’m wondering whether the little guy that Rahm influenced so much that he changed his behavior and improved his grades got a chance to lead the Pledge of Allegiance? Does anyone know?

I’m adding Chicago to the list of cities that I plan on visiting in 2012 (along with D.C. and San Fran).
