I know. When she gives these types of speeches, you know it comes from the heart, she’s been through it, she gets it, she wants you to excel and you can’t help but be emotional. Just love her, such a motivational speaker.

Suit yourself but I must confess today I am like most people that know Mrs Obama as stated by her husband ‘since Michelle and I started dating pretty much everybody I know, comes to me and says you know Barack you’re great and all, I like you but your wife now she’s really something’ I agree 1000% with those people!

I am watching and the first lady is speaking, I am recording it.

Seated directly behind her is actress and humanitarian Phylicia Rashad (Mrs Cosby on TV), this brings a point up in my mind.

Spellman is the or was used as the model in the Cosby show Hillman College.

Michelle was wonderful, absolutely wonderful. Eyes got teary. She’s so real, you could hear the deep and heartfelt emotions in her voice. Loved the part about staying up at night and having long conversations “about some man…you all know you did that,” she was so funny and cute! 🙂 🙂

Heck yeah! They would definitely have my vote. She’s incredible. No questions asked; point, blank, period; Hands Down… Hillary tried. President Obama always says that if he ran against FLOTUS he would definitely lose and he’s top notch material. She is an phenomenal First Lady.

Quick question:: What would that make POTUS? First Husband of the United States?

The First Lady’s commencement address was very emotional. What an inspiration she is.

I came across this article on Irish Central:http://www.irishcentral.com/news/Obama-will-speak-at-open-air-Snow-Patrol-concert-in-OConnell-Street-121699484.html

President Obama will speak at open air Snow Patrol concert on O’Connell Street

Schedule announced for his Irish visit on May 23rd

U.S. President Barack Obama will appear and speak at an open air concert on O’Connell Street in Dublin, headlined by Snow Patrol during his visit to Ireland on May 23rd.

The O’Connell Street festival will be the highlight of his day in Ireland which will also include an hour in Moneygall, County Offaly, where his Irish ancestors hailed from,

His day will start with a reception at the US Embassy in Dublin at about 10 o’clock after arriving in on Air Force One.

He will then visit President Mary McAleese and then meet with the Irish government. He has down time between 12 and 3 before heading to Moneygall.

He will then fly back to Dublin via helicopter for the O’Connell Street bash followed by a dinner with the government, it is understood.

He departs for London the following morning after spending the night with the US Ambassador at his residence in Phoenix Park.

I went straight to the Spelman College website and had no interruptions. The ceremony was just beautiful and FLOTUS was inspiring as usual. My heart swelled with pride! She gave a wonderful speech to those young ladies.

@UTAusting – my sentiments exactly. She was absolutely wonderful and so inspirational.
I was upset about not being able to connect with the livestream, tried other avenues to no avail, then came here knowing that someone would have a viable connect and was not disappointed – saw Titti’s note and got connected just before MO’s introduction. You guys rock! This site rocks!! (Love, love this site Chipsticks!!)

Here is a blog posting from Kristen Jarvis, the Spelman grad MO mentioned who is one of her travel aides: http://www.whitehouse.gov/blog/2011/05/15/returning-spelman-first-lady-michelle-obama

Just finished watching the interview with Sec. Gates. Such a good man. Had tears and love in his eyes for the troops. Thinks of them as his own children and fought even the Pentagon to get them what they needed to be effective, but more importantly, to come home alive. I can see how he and PBO would be such a good team.

Love Mrs. O and Dr. Tatum. If you haven’t read, “Why Are All the Black Kids Sitting Together in the Cafeteria”, it is a MUST read. These 2 courageous and intelligent women make my day!
