what is that asshat Christie doing there? The man that knows he can beat the president if he wants to.
Great photos. The firemen really did seem to like him. that is good.
I am a newcomer to this site, spend a bunch of time on other “Yeah Obama” sites – but this one has got me sucked in because of the great posts I receive – regularly, daily from Chipsticks! I am compelled to thank you FROM THE BOTTOM OF MY HUMBLE HEART for your undertakings to provide us with this daily nourishment!!!! WOW… I so respect and adore President Obama, First Lady Michelle and their beautiful daughters and their entire mixed nut family!!! I weep profusely at some of the vitriol hurled his way – but as I watch how he handles it with class, grace and a smile or a shrug, I can’t help but feel the pride well up inside my entire being… I am from NYC and live now in L.A. – I watched with horror as the buildings toppled a few blocks from my beautiful mother’s home – who actually went outside and was covered with soot. I still feel deep and abiding sadness at the loss my gorgeous city took, but with this week’s events and our Awesome President’s visit, and you Chipstick, I somehow, today, feel elated… Thank you…
Hiya NinaCecily, what a beautiful message! Really thrilled that you enjoy the site, thank you so, so, so much for visiting. For you, as a New Yorker, I can only guess how emotional today must have been for you. Thank you again NinaCecily, you’re incredibly kind.
This has been a great day to see Our President in NYC to pay his respects to the families and first defenders. It was so rewarding to see our New Yorkers greet him with love and enthusiasm.
This has been a great day and waiting to see the clips from tonight’s celebration of cinco de mayo. I need a margarita.
I just wish people would use Osama bin Laden’s last name when referring to him. (Say bin Laden instead of Osama.) It’s painful to hear people talking about “Obama’s death” The View showed a clip of a newswoman yesterday that repeatedly (4x) said Obama instead of Osama. Even after saying President Obama! (e.g., she said something like President Obama order the raid on Obama) huh…Really???? I watched the 7:50 minute video above and one of the firefighters talked about “Obama being dead” around the 5:30 mark. š¦
Ann I agree with you – it is quite irritating. However, I am getting less inclined to bother with this slip of the tongue because I realize that the name “Obama” is on everyone’s mind at any given time, so they will easily slip and say “Obama” more than the other way around (i.e., calling President Obama “President Osama,”) which is the “mistake” I would be more concerned with because I think it is more likely to be deliberate.
Incidentally, on more than one occasion, I have seen different pundits say “Michelle Obama” when they meant “Michelle Bachman.” So I am inclined to think that the name “Obama” is on the pundits minds and any topic that is remotely associated will lead to a slip of the tongue.
This has got to be a high emotion day for all of New York. I’m so touched at how many people came out to see the President. Even ole Christy Creme came to bask in POTUS sunlight. I heard his Hoover vacuum all the out here in LA! The video’s and pics are just awesome! Thanks Chipsticks for a JOB WELL DONE!
Thank you Chipsticks for the videos. I am grateful to know that we have a great President in the Oval Office who gives respect, honor, to all people who are working together to make this a better nation and a better world. I thought the President presented himself and the American people to the world as a respectful and grateful nation. Thank you , Mr. President.
That is awesome. . . USA!!! USA!!! USA!!!
Thank you President Obams! We love you!!!
I LOVE that stuff š
it never fells to make me chuckle š

I’m sorry. I just noticed that this is a very positive thread. I posted right after hearing that one too many times.
Chipsticks,
If you want to delete my post, please feel free.
No need to delete your post at all Ann, I completely understand your frustration at the Obama/Osama slips.
Saw that too. The whole thing really upsets me!!!

I noticed that too Ann, but at least in this case it was a genuine slip, unlike on Fox so often the last few years when it was absolutely deliberate.

Those were some touching clips. Very emotional for those first responders and family members. Unbelievable moment.
