Get Eric Cantor off my teevee. ewwwww. I didn’t know Wolf Blitzer was dating Mila Kunis. ๐Ÿ™‚ Patrick Kennedy, Gayle King, the Glee lady—Jane—-those are my only sightings so far. And some gal in a white one-shoulder dress who was doing the multiple Oscar red carpet poses, Joan Rivers wiping lipstick off her teeth. Mira Sorvino. Gayle just yelled out, “The night’s just starting. No yawning.” I didn’t realize this is a whole weekend of parties, last night, tonight and tomorrow.

President Obama cut Trump’s spleen and liver, and then Seth Myers simply detonated what was left of him.

I’ll bet Donald Trump sincerely wishes he’d stayed home tonight. But I’m glad he was there to be humiliated in person.

Breaking news. Son of gaddaffi killed in NATO airstrikes

    • April 30, 2011 at 7:13 pm

Just saw that M4O, three grandchildren dead too – if you can believe the Gaddafi regime. Bizarrely, he had two sons with the same name (Saif), but this was the lesser known one. The other Saif seems to be the PR guy for the regime, he’s just been on TV announcing the deaths. Wondering what impact this will have.

      • 22 lisa
        April 30, 2011 at 7:23 pm

Hopefully it will weaken Gaddafi. That guy needs to go.

        • 23 lisa
          May 1, 2011 at 12:58 pm

Follow up on my comment: According to news sources, the reports of these death have not been confirmed by anyone other than Gaddafi’s regime. Gaddafi tends to be willy and duplicitious much like the fox on top of The Chumps head and would not hesitate to lie and put on an elaborate hoax in order to turn international blame/shame on the Allies, especially in an international military intervention where there appears to be substantial losses on his side of the line drawn in the sand. The military has confirmed it bombed a military target, but it can not confirm that they killed the younger son and the three grandchildren. If the regime’s assertion is true and the children were killed, then my thoughts and prayers go out to them and their mother. And on that basis, I hope the blood of innocents shed on Gaddafi’s behalf will engender in him a sense or belief that this stupidity must end. It has taken the lives of many people who were in essence, strangers to him, and now, it’s possibly taken the lives of those he loves. Based on this premiss, I hope his will to maintain power is weakened and he leaves before even more people-including those he holds dear-are killed, all because of his absolutist desire for power.

      • 24 Dorothy Rissman
        April 30, 2011 at 8:08 pm

Chipstick, I feel really bad for those children. If Gaddafi would have left the country and allowed change to happen, this would not have happened. I have to wonder, is this actually bs from the Gaddafi camp to get sympathy?

The man will stoop to anything to make sure he does not lose power.

Bob, you are right. My fear is that we do not have a voice that will matter to them. Old Roger always said, his job was to bring Obama down. I have heard the chump may have been offered a television “new” show on their slime line-up.

If he doesn’t behave, the Washington Post can kiss it’s last readers good-bye. (I already stopped reading that rag.)

And can someone please tell me the purpose of this farce anyway?

    April 30, 2011 at 7:10 pm

okay…I heard that one of the newspapers, probably the New Yorker or one of them, always boycotts the nerd prom because of all the celebrities that get invited. I must say, I agree with them, this is supposed to be about the nerdy journalists, LA celebrities showing up just takes the spotlight off of them and puts it on the actors and actresses that already have so much. To me it’s like having your wedding and your trampy sister shows up in a dress with a neckline down to her waist and her hemline barely covering her butt.
ps- I love actors and actresses, but that’s why I watch all their award shows, I don’t want to see them here too.
pps- oh shit, a bunch of people just booed Trump and he waved to them. hahahahahahah. There is justice ๐Ÿ™‚

Lisa, I wouldn’t be surpriised if that’s the intent. ๐Ÿ˜‰ They probably lack the confidence to stand on their own merit; and do you blame them when they do such an awful job as journalists? Now my President doesn’t need to hide behind anyone, or hesitate to face anyone. He has the strength of character to stand behind his convictions. Mr. President, (if you really choose to attend) stand tall and have a good time! You have nothing you need to feel ashamed about, and no one there who holds a candle to you.

Trump made a huge mistake this time.
President Obama is respected and loved by millions, not only in the States.
Trump always got away with his viciousness and lies in the past. I remember back then when he went after Rosie O’Donnell. Nobody defended her, nobody……hahaha it was funny, the Donald being the Donald. How lovely to call someone fat, ugly, useless, etc, for months and months.
    It was disgusting.

Hope David Axelrod lobbied her for a major charitable contribution. Cure was co-founded by his wife Susan. Palin has so many despicable attributes, but her exploitation of her son’s Downs Syndrome is particularily vulgar. And charity is not something she is familiar with. I shouldn’t bring her up….she really raises my blood pressure.

I don’t think her “husband” could get security clearance for the White House due to his history with the AIP.

    Liked this:

Talk show host David Letterman suggests that Republican presidential aspirant Donald Trump is racist, for implying that Barack Obama got into Harvard only because of affirmative action. He also wants to ban Trump from his show.

โ€œItโ€™s all fun, itโ€™s all a circus, itโ€™s all a rodeo, until it starts to smack of racism. And then itโ€™s no longer fun,โ€ Letterman said on Friday night on his Late Show, referencing Trumpโ€™s comments about Obamaโ€™s education.

Letterman made it clear that if Trump appeared on his show, heโ€™d have to apologise. โ€œIf he comes back on this show, and I am not sure we want him back on this show under these circumstances, he ought to be prepared to apologise just for that kind of behaviour.โ€

I don’t know about this Seth character. Just watching the C-Span rerun of his intereview, and he was tap dancing pretty fast with the question of whether he is a supporter of President Obama, and he claimed that he’s got McCain’s back “for life” because McCain appeared in a sketch that Seth wrote. He’s clearly got poor judgement. And Seth kept going on about “making fun of the President”. I may have to skip his routine. He’s always been on the side of dishing s*!t out and having people not respond, but he can’t take it. I’m glad he left in a snit. Serves him right. He got a little bit of what he’s been dishing out, and he doesn’t like the taste of it. I hope he’s humiliated. Too bad. I’m happy to see it happen to him. Others have feelings, too, and being rich doesn’t mean anyone has to continue taking his abuse. He wouldn’t like me very much if he were to meet me because I’d tell him everything his parents and others have been too afraid to tell him all of these years. I have no respect of persons when they’re evil and wrong, and the Chump fits both categories. He’d hear a mouthful from a retired teacher, and he’d find that teachers aren’t wusses. We might be the punching bag of the day, but we know that the world would have a hard time moving forward without us.

I did not like his acting like PBO 2011 is different from Obama 2008. When will these people learn about governing and what it takes to get things done? Especially when you’re faced with opposition 24/7? They act like the pres has accomplished nothing when he has done more than any president. It’s like economic recovery hasn’t happened. Or health care reform. They just continue to ignore his magnificent accomplishes. Act like he’s lost hope when that is so far from the truth. It pisses me off. Royally. Have to respectfully disagree about his record. What he has accomplished has been amazing. Outstanding. Rescuing the economy and passing health care should alone get him re-elected. And as I said upthread he’s done these things literally without any help from the rethugs and opposition from his own party. People are not honest when they criticize this record.

Nothing is perfect in politics. That’s just how it is. Even Jesus couldn’t govern a country with perfection.

Well, we all know by having lived here on earth that nothing is perfect, so what does it mean his record is not perfect? You sound like a doubter, Jessica, and one who does not appreciate the strides PBO has made and continues to make in the face of the vitriol, hatred, derision…..oh, I can’t even name all the challenges. I would expect that anyone here, while not expected to be non-thinking and gullible, is a supporter with the ability to convey his/her feelings and opinions of the President’s job, with the sensibilities needed to inspire, not to add to the always present criticisms of a person doing his best to uphold the best ideas of this nation.

              Thanks EDP4BHO.

President Obama is as good as it gets for this country and the idea that his unbelievably impossible accomplishments in just 2 years and in the face of every adversity a person can imagine, is to be diminished and pitted against some bogus, non-existent “ideal” or “perfect” standard is not only suspicious, but completely ridiculous!!!

I say this again: Beware of the trolls. They have spilled over from the Mrs O blog which they have worked hard to make so unbearably unpleasant with their flippant and inane comments. They are slick and wily and most of the time most really don’t see them coming.

Since nothing is perfect what was the point of your comment. Our president’s record is the sort of record other Presidents dreamed they could have accomplished in the short 2plus years president Barack Obama has been serving our nation.
HCR alone is an accomplishment that many before him tried to do and never did.

Where are you going to find a President with a perfect record?

      • 530 Ivee
        April 30, 2011 at 11:25 pm

All records are imperfect since all humans are imperfect. (Except if you’re Donald Trump, of course, then you’re the next greatest thing since sliced bread, in your own mind.)

That’s both the charm and the curse of running for reelection. But I think that the president’s accomplish far outweigh his imperfections.

I think you and me are saying the same thing.

          • May 1, 2011 at 1:19 am

I get what you are saying Jessica. Its not that Obama isn’t doing a great job, its that voters love the idealistic Obama more. Its like the spouse who wonders what happened to the romance during the dating period. The reality is that real life gets in the way and there are going to be highs and lows. At the end of the day and in really tough times you know that (perfectly) imperfect spouse is the Real Deal and ain’t nobody better.

We’re just waiting for much of the PL to catch up.

I get what Jessica is saying too. There will always be some that are not satisfied. PBO can fulfill most of his campaign promises, BUT someone will be unhappy that he didn’t (YET) fulfill the promise they wanted most. PBO had done so much by the end of last year. So to the people that thought he could snap his fingers and change everything in a second…please remember that PBO said from the beginning that change does not happen over night. Patience! Remember he has worked miracles thusfar with the party of NO.

Cheer up! If that’s the case, the only opponent the president has is —HIMSELF!! He didn’t have a presidential track record in 2008. Back then, it was all ideological. Governing is totally different than running for POTUS. I would have felt really bad had Meyers said the only person who could beat PBO in 2012 was the Chump or some of the other pissants!

That was a little bonus smackdown. I hope that little pipsqueak learns his lesson. The President has a bully pulpit. He’s doing important work. Matt might get some air time unfairly judging the President, but the President can destroy his little movie just from a side comment. And I hope that Ben Affleck is taking notes – since he said he would come back to us with his comments about the President’s performance. His career can’t afford a smackdown from the President.

I missed the party until watching and reading this morning. Excuse my language if you are offended by such, but Dayamm! You bitches are funny as hell! The comments and jokes back and forth while watching was like a slumber party with your BFFs. I love you guys. Smart, well-informed, caring, protective (and just a little evil) whe loved ones are attacked, and hilarious.

The chump had his ass handed to him by PBO. Why oh why do they mess with him? All should have learned by now that he will end up eating their lunch and showing them up for the fools that they are.

The president fears no one. He will get right in their faces when they are surrounded by their friends, and let them have it with devastating comments made in a calm and often amused voice. He let all of his detractors know that he is aware of what they bare about and that he is not afraid of anyone.

My favorite slide is the one that showed what chump would do the white house if elected.
Anyway, loved everything about this posting.
Have yet to see Seth’s speech. Will come by later today to see if it is posted here.

Wow…I can’t believe I set here are read every last comment, but I DID! LOL LOL I just had to put my little two cents in…last night was great! I am overjoyed…our President is not only smart, intelligent, brave, sincere, genuine, loving, kind, warm, cool (as a cucumber), good looking, etc, et, but he is funny too. I am glad he has a sense of humor (I guess he has too considering the insane craziness he has to deal with everyday and that’s not including the real serious matters)…he shows us how to DO IT (whatever it is). I Has to admit I was not too pleased the the Chump was invited but after watching the ASS Kicking he got (ooops that’s not so nice, but OH WELL)…I am as happy as a lark!

I am somewhat new to this site…you all crack me up…you lift me up…you fill (feel/yeah that too) me up…you keep me informed! Great work everyone!

Wowsa. Over 600 comments! Someone might have already said this but my Gawd Michelle looks absolutely stunning. The flowers in front of her pale in comparison. And our Barack had me wiping my eyes because I was laughing so hard. It didn’t hurt that he was handing Chump’s ass back to him on a plate. It’s the little things in life …

Yes Chipsticks, 611 comments and so exciting to follow. Thank You very, very much for being a catalyst for all things positive and informative about President Obama. I am so glad that I through “Mrs-O” found Your blog.
President Obama certainly knew – in his usually sophisticated manner – how to “grill” Donald Trump, and if Trump has got a minimum of self respect, which I doubt , we will not be hearing from him for a long time.
Landslide for President Barack H. Obama in 2012!

All in all, Saturday night was a great ending to what has been an emotional, heart-wrenching, and somber week. In response to the past few days of “birther” mania, the President said, “What a week!” I say, “What a night!” — the best Saturday night ever! Thanks to you, Mr. President, and Seth, too. You done good. ๐Ÿ™‚

I’m just adding this to say “Great Job, TOD” and to raise the number of messages. ๐Ÿ˜† I’ve made a longer comment somewhere else. In reality, do you know that Trump makes his contributions to Democratic candidates. It’s an oxymoron.
Seth talking about Bloomberg NY paries compared to the DC party. An hinting that the president might want to take up smoking again. ๐Ÿ˜† Loved the picture of Seth talking with President Obama and Michelles looking on with big grins on their faces.

Laughter is good medicine. And sometimes in the case of extreme absurdity (Teabagger Nation) ridicule is the ONLY cure.

President Obama and FLOTUS are just plain awesome, in everyway. Chipsticks, you occupy space in the awesome column right alongside them. I just want to thank you, and everyone that participates here for being dedicated to one another and the work of making the world a better place. In big ways and in small, I believe everyone here is a positive force for good. And I have to say last night’s online party was a blast!
