How do they get so close to him when he is just getting off the plane. They must have really high up connections.

He is the hardest working man I have ever watched. He makes me tired, I need a nap.

I was thinking the same thing…to the critics who always have something to say about our amazing President golfing, vacationing, playing basketball or whatever, “try to keep up with him just ONE day…I bet you CAN NOT, YOU COULDN’T DO IT”…

His day is just crazy. How does he maintain this level of unflappable grace? I think I would have quit after Alabama and gone home for a nap and some tears.

Bring on the idiots from the Republican Party. God love him, our President is awesome!

I truly believe that God has made Barack Hussein Obama President “for such a time as this” . He has had more going on during these 2 1/2 years than some presidents have in 2 terms. It’s just one thing after another. I know that the average American President would have folded in by now but not our President Obama. He just keeps on a ticking and he does it with such grace and compassion and always a smile on his face. God’s hand of favor is on him and I pray he will continue to be used by God. We are blessed to have this man as our leader.

I do keep him, and his family, and those close to him who are supportive, in my prayers day and night. God has his hands on PBO; I believe that with all my heart. He is our shining star in what sometimes can appear to be utter darkness-thank God!

      He’s absolutely EXCEPTIONAL.

I would like to say though… let’s not forget the fabulous team he has around him. Joe Biden, who is probably one of the best VPs EVER; his fantastic cabinet, his great staff, etc…

You know a person is good by the way the children react. I believe they are God’s angels here on earth, sensing good while we adults are cynical. God bless the babies and always the President.

I have never seen another President connect to little children like President Barack Obama. Look at his eyes they just lit up everytime ‘little people’ according to Mrs. Obama are present. Malia and Sasha are so lucky to have a dad like him and of course Mrs Obama is extremly privilege that this man is the father of her children!!!!! I love PBO!!!

P……Mr. Barack H. Obama is extremly privege that Michelle Obama is the mother of his children!!!!!! In other words, they are bless to have one another, and to have those two lovely young girls. Today when you so rarely see good example of black families, father, mother, children, it is nice to see the Obamas.

I agree 100% no need to tell me that!!! Its just this post was about PBO and his reactions to little children that’s why I made the comment and it sounded one-sided but trust me Mrs Michelle Obama is definitly a QUEEN in all aspect to this President, he himself says it in his interactions with her and in many of his speeches!! Of course they are both lucky to have each other!

So P, no problem then we agree. But if we didn’t agree there still wouldn’t be any problem. I believe we both support this President and his family very much.

Signing on after a departure to find another example to bolster my ‘research thesis’ – “The ‘angel’ in babies and young children will always recognize and acknowledge the ‘angel’ in our President”. It is so sweet to see that children unfailingly light up in their interactions with him; just look at that little girl’s face again! Awesome! We love you too, Mr. Prez.

guys, bad news. The comedian for the WCD tomorrow night is Seth Meyers of Weekend Update of Saturday Night Live. First of all, he’s not very funny. I watch SNL almost religiously and I have to suffer through his so called humor every saturday night for about 10 minutes. Aside from not being funny, he does tend to make fun of the president-like a junior A-hole Jon Stewart- which is likely why he rarely ever gets laughs and alot of groans when he pokes at PBO. Ugh. Please, please let him not make horrible digs at the prez tomorrow night. Nothing about Gitmo, or how the prez is (please forgive me for saying this)Bush-lite. Please, please, please. Ugh. Please let him be on his best behavior, it’s bad enough cheese-ball wind bag will probably be there too. Meyers, don’t muck it up or your a** is grass.

Why on earth would they do that?…choose a comedian who ridicules the President…idk the procedure for choosing comedians is it some kind of random selection?

    • April 30, 2011 at 5:00 am

Seth Meyers is a supporter of PBO and donated money in 2008. He’s a comedian, that’s his job. The difference between him or SNL as a whole and Stewart is that people takes Stewart seriously as a newsman, when he, too, is simply a comedian. I stopped watching the Daily Show a long time ago, because JS is doing some serious damage with his stupid “both sides are the same” agenda, and in the way he uses spins to attack PBO. I don’t find SNL to be funny either, but i doubt Seth Meyers is going to be mean to the president who will sit beside him.

I agree about Jon Stewart and that ridiculous show of his and have been boycotting it for well over a year now. In regards to Seth and other 2008 celebrity supporters and admirers of PBO, the proof is in the pudding for me and I’ve found that I can’t trust alot of them as they somehow believed that the prez was some magic man who could just show up at the WH on day one, and then magically everything would be alright. And when it hasn’t worked out that way, they start using their platforms to incorrectly characterize the prez as a slacker ie: trip to Latin America, presenting trophies to athletic teams, etc. Or they’ll call him weak and express-whether verbally or through innuendo- just how disappointed they are. Ive seen Seth in action more than a time or two and my reaction after he’s cracked on PBO has always been: wondering if Weekend Update has been overtaken by conservative writers and rolling my eyes. My big issue people like Seth poking at the prez and Jimmy Fallon implying that Hillary is the one probably wearing the pants in Washington- a stupid idea that was quashed by Brian Williams on Fallon’s show- is that their criticisms come from watching ridiculous cable news which is then reported through humor to the masses ( their audiences) who in all likelihood don’t really follow the prez like we do and can’t/ aren’t able to parse out truth from fiction and therefor make informed decision ie: 2010 election. But I truly hope you’re right about Seth. I’d rather be wrong about that than anything.

Hi Lisa, do you know whether the President himself has some input as to who gets to be the comedian for the correspondent’s dinner? I’m not sure how they are picked. And I agree with BWD that Stewart has delved into the political arena in a way that Seth hasn’t. Stewart happens to be Ariana Huff’s BFF, and we know that if Huffington could personally harm the President, she would. Stewart also appeared on the Rachel Show (after his “rally to restore sympathy for the Republicans” and basically tried to do a makeover of GWB which pissed off a lot of his viewers.

i’m glad we all agree that Stewart isn’t worth the cheap suits he wears on his mess of a sideshow, and i hope Seth keeps it together. As to your opening question, i don’t know how they choose their comedians, but i’m sure of one thing: PBO will blow them outta the water!

I don’t remember recognizing a President at that age as kids clearly recognize President Obama today. Maybe it’s because a lot of parents have his picture hung in the house or they talk more about politics around their kids than I ever remember being talked about in mine.

All that you said, plus, I think, the President has a certain charisma/’goodness’ that really attracts the little ones. The babies who focus so completely on him, I’m sure, don’t recognize him as president.

Do you remember during the primaries all the YouTube videos of little babies saying “Obama”? It was amazing that these little tikes who couldn’t really talk yet could say Obama.

Little children haven’t been programed yet and have a spirit to feel and recognmize loving energy. Our dear President has lots of it.

I love the picture of the President and that precious little girl! All I can think about is Malia’s advice that kids don’t shake hands. Please make sure to link Dr. Prepper’s email. I purchase their products every week and that sure change.
