WOW, he looks so deep in thought, at an important crossroads. And yes, how we’d like to know what he’s thinking.

Yes, meta, I was thinking the same thing. What a deep in thought moment in history. We ask God’s grace to be upon him daily.

At the beginning of this announcement of the changing of the guard, he made the statement regarding the horrible damage done to the South and concern for the families lost and what he is doing about it. Maybe he was preparing that part of his speech. I don’t know. Just throwing my penny in.

That’s what I was thinking. He’s probably thinking about the devastation that those tornados and bad weather caused . in Alabama and the other Southern states.

Chipsticks, this is the first ever picture I’ve seen that you’ve posted of our wonderful President that has really made me sad. I dare not try to second guess what he is thinking, but seeing him like this makes me think of how comtemplative he must feel in light of yesterday’s experience. While I respect him highly for the sacrifice he made on behalf of the nation–feeling compelled to expose to public view such a personal possession as his birth certificate–I can’t help feel sadness for him. I know he is courageous and confident and knows how to best handle these types of situations, but I believe deep down, he has to be hurting–and that make me sad. 😦

Pete Souza takes GREAT photos. He has taken many pictures of the President in contemplative mode before speaking. But when you see it, you want to go up and ask him “penny for your thoughts?” Thanks Chipsticks for sharing.

Oh, I am “Anonymous.” I am using a different computer tonight than usual. I was just trying to correct my own typo (make=makes) and saw that I posted as “Anonymous” instead of the usual “NewCenturyWoman.” No reason to moderate me. I’m not being mean to anyone. 🙂

Amen. He will make it through this. The righteous shall always come forth with God’s honor. President Obama is a good man deep within his heart. I believe his faith is made even stronger with all that he has to go through as our President. We do not overcome evil with evil, your overcome it with good. I believe from the actions of our President, he understands this. He talks and walks his Christiam love each day. He could be saying really bad things to people who are attacking him, but watch him. He is the most loving and carring President in my lifetime. You can see it all over his face. He knows that we love him, support him, and will help him to be re-elected. I believe he trusts us that much, but we have to send him all the love that we can. We know that more than anything , if he could be with us out here talking, listening in person, he would be here in a heartbeat. We have your back, Mr. President.

Yes, “a penny for Your thoughts”, earlier, but specially the last days, I have been thinking how I just can’t wait to read President Obama’s thoughts/accounts of his – naturally – two terms as president of the United States of America.
Somewhere I have read, that he keeps a diary, and since he is also such a talented writer, I do think, we have something to look forward to.
Landslide for President Barack H. Obama 2012!
