Thanks Chipsticks for posting this, I love seeing both of them together. I remember at Oprahs Legends Ball, her and Michelle shared a really nice private moment. So they must hit it off really well. They have been friends a long time. I just didn’t know how close they were until now.
With all the famous and important people Oprah has met and being popular herself all over the world – I love it that she is giddy about talking to Michelle. If she is that way I can only imagine how I would be.
Don’t the President and First Lady suppose to be in Chicago April 27th to tape a interview with Oprah which will air May 2nd. I am looking forward to that.
I so agree with what the first man said, I think he was the pastor. We do want to let the President know that we love him and he have our support. When you have many out there on the other side, we must let the Obama family know that we support them. When you have the pitiful son of Rev.Billy Graham going on tv quetioning our President’s faith, or his citizenship, we will, we must let the President, the First Lady, the girls know that we love and support them. We got his back.
The Graham’s of the world should worry more about the nature and quality of his own faith, instead of questioning someone (the President) who lives and embodies Christian values every single day of his life for everyone to see.
Honestly, I just sit back and watch these “Christians” talk and do things COMPLETELY contradictory to HIS teachings. What did Ghandi say? I like your Christ, I do not like your Christians. They are so unlike your Christ.
And it is especially rich that Billy is head over heels over thrice married, actually said if his daughter were not his daughter he would marry her (Yeah, he said that)..materialistic circus clown that is Trump the Chump.
I love Mrs Obama and Oprah! Mrs Obama is definitely a different type of first lady. She is not the uptight type of first lady who feels she is better than everyone else and that tea story proved it. The Obamas are really cool down to earth people. BDW Mrs O looked absolutely stunning :)! She’s such a beauty! I love Mrs O and O but I must confess Saddie stole my heart 🙂 ! Nice pooch for Bo LOL! Hmmmm lol jk
This is one of the best. I LOVED it. “It’s Cold” LOL. That was great. And the part about drinking tea, FAB!
That’s why I simple adore our first lady. She’s so REAL.
Cute, cute cute!!! Michelle is so striking and fit. Just effortless presence and beauty.
The video from Shiloh was awesome as well. It’s wonderful that the clergy and parishioners not only expressed support, but expressed *love* for the President and his family. When you have poseurs like Cornel and Tavis in the black community making money off of stoking discontent against PBO, it’s so nice to be reminded that they are in a tiny minority and that the overwhelming majority of AAs not only support, but LOVE the Obamas in a way that only we can understand.
Barack Obama may be lauded the world over, but only AAs can truly understand what the Obamas go through, the fine line they have to walk, and just how much strength, fortitude, and wisdom it takes to be in PBO’s shoes for even one day. We love him for it, and that won’t change.
Oprah loves being “connected”. Note how O said she calls the White House frequently to see what’s going on? What she can capitalize on? I feel that FLOTUS is genuine. And that POTUS is smart enough to take advantage of all positive media. This is just my opinion.
Oh my, what a nice surprise Video, I liked that 🙂 Thank you so much. Well, the Obamas, Oprah, they are just black People like me. I feel like I been knowing them all for a while. I feel like I could fit right In with them, no problem. I like the *TEA * scene, that was cute 🙂 And then there was Sadie, hehehe.
Hi Chipsticks, I have been a lurker for over a year now. this is my 1st post though. I love what you’re doing to balance the narrative about PBO. Thank you from the bottom of my heart ❤
I loved the video with the FLOTUS and Oprah. If it's not too much asking, is there a way for you to convert the other 2 videos with Oprah doing the prep before receiving MO? We outside the US cannot access much of the shows videos. I had no luck with the View full interview either 😦
Once again thank you to the TOD family for surrounding President Obama with your love and lifting him up in your prayers/thoughts. Please know that hundreds of millions of us around the world are doing the same!
Hiya Sel, helloooooo Canada, thank you so much for your message! No problem, I’ll convert and post those Oprah videos for you – I probably won’t get the chance til this evening, but it will be done! Thank you again 😉
Hi there from an American in Europe. I converted the video below. many bloggers fail to realize that people outside the US cannot view some formats and some sites like HULU.
Chips and this place are pretty good though making global conversions.
It is encouraging for us as well to know that others like you around the world love and support our POTUS. He and his family are remarkable are they not?
Check back later today (Monday) for the great updates that Chipsticks will no doubt have for us of the yearly Easter Egg Roll that takes place on the White House lawns.
Again, welcome to the site and thanks for your comments.
I saw the entire “Behind the Scenes” show that this clip is from. If you get a chance, you should watch it. One thing that I found most interesting is that in a pre production meeting, one of the producers told Oprah that the WH staff said that Mrs. Obama would probably tell Oprah to call her Michelle. Oprah was quick to say “No!” and added something like she is the first lady of the United States I would never do that. She also said that she calls her Michelle in private, but never in public. I really liked that. I think Mrs. Obama has such a pleasing personality that people consider her their girlfriend and want to just call her Michelle, but Oprah, one of the most powerful women in America and truly a personal friend said she would not call her Michelle. I must say that it really caused me to think about how I refer to her. My husband as a thing about always refering to the President as “The President” or “President Obama” and now I get it.
You cannot manufacture that type of authenticity, the genuine warmth between those two remarkable women jumps off the screen and gives my heart the warm and fuzzies! They are truly friends. I find it so touching that as powerful and accomplished as Oprah is – she was astounded and in awe of the First Lady. The fact that Oprah would not call her Michelle in public is a testament of how much respect Oprah has for her. I think the president and his darling wife have earned that respect and we, meaning their supporters, must be careful to afford them their just due.
That was hilarious. Thanks for sharing that. I needed that to smile at today.

Oh I wish those two were my friends. Even if they weren’t famous. They just seem like really good people.
That tea story is funny.

I loved that part of the story, too. It was really sweet! It just tells you what kind of top notch people the Obamas are.
Hi Chipsticks,
Here’s some video you can add to the happy easter post:
Thnak you!
Thank you for sharing that. 🙂
That was really nice. The choir was wonderful and I am sure the 1st Family enjoyed every bit of it.
All these really bring a smile to my face. Thanks!

The fact Oprah loves the president and first lady makes me love her even more.

I am going to really miss Oprah when she does her last show. She has been part of my routine for years since Baltimore.

Just trying to help you out. 🙂
By the way dailymotion.com is a great place to host video content and is global.
Sometime Youtube is a pain too.

Brook, how can one watch the entire behind the scenes show? Thanks. Any link?
Oh, my bad was soo being over excited, found it. LOL.
Thanks Chips for the video, enjoyed it. Welcome to the Fam Sel! As for those questioning the Prez’s faith, it says more about them.
