Good night, Chipsticks. I’m just catching up with a visit to your blog and see some excellent videos and articles. I didn’t see this nice article mentioned, but I may not have gotten to it yet.

I’m not familiar with Stephen Goldstein, but I certainly like how he thinks. The Republican’s have been working their plan behind the scenes since Reagan at least and now they are out in the open. It just plain doesn’t work and they need to come up with something workable. President Obama’s plan not only helps the ordinary citizen, but it’s wonderful for businesses.

(quote) Wealth care vs. health care.

That choice will frame the debate for the 2012 election. As a result, President Barack Obama has already won his second term, and Democrats will recapture majorities in both houses of Congress. Everything until then is a delicious denouement, when tea party extremists will have turned the Republican Party into a blip on the political screen — and Kingsley Guy will beg to become a Democrat.

Recently, when Kingsley and I were interviewed by Thomas Roberts on MSNBC, I mentioned the obscenity of extending trillion-dollar tax cuts to the richest Americans while bleeding the middle class. But Kingsley saw nothing wrong.

For average Americans, Ryan’s “Path” is a road to ruin….

When Obama delivered his vision for America, he drew an election-winning distinction between his party and Ryan extremists. Cool, calm and collected, he outlined a pragmatic path to fiscal health, while reaffirming his commitment to the social infrastructure on which all Americans depend. He spoke like the wise, senior member of an accounting firm, chastening an overzealous, junior bean-counter. Squirming in the audience, Ryan, who naively expected the president to kowtow to him, was sandbagged by a pro.

Whatever plan emerges to restore our fiscal health — and everyone agrees we need one — Obama will be the winner. Ryan/tea party/Republicans overplayed their hand. Exactly 150 years after our first Civil War, we are fighting another one for the republic’s heart and soul — and wallet. Ryan promises magically to create prosperity-for-all by pledging never to raise revenue while redistributing trillions in wealth care to the rich. So, he’s led a delusional GOP to a path to political suicide. When he and other defeated tea party/Republicans are looking for jobs, Obama’s commitment to health care reform will be the only thing that saves their family finances.(endquote)

Good nite Chipstick and all you TOD fans. I hope you all have a restful sleep and a joyful day tomorrow. Somehow I got into my family tree and posted for at least 24 hours now without any sleep. I am so into it and found a relative I’ve never met and we had a great conversation today. So I think I better put it aside and get some rest before I fall asleep typin……..zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz..

Oh my gosh, to see Joan Baez breathe these words in the White House is so inspiring. PBO and Mrs. Obama sing along and my heart buckles…..tears flow as I see that this spirit of social change is alive in the White House. BRAVO to the Obamas, with tremendous love and respect for these institutions. This is what beauty looks like.
