Good Morning Chipsticks and the “O” Family.
Pete Souza is a photographic genius. And the other White House photographers aren’t bad either.
There is so much story in his photographs. He captures so much in the way he frames the shot and his use of depth of field is brilliant.
He makes a moment that would otherwise seem boring to many, so interesting and engaging.
I am very much looking forward to this busy week for the President and First Lady. So much happening.
I’m especially excited abut the Easter Egg Roll. I wonder what story the President will be reading to the kids?
By the way… Happy Easter Everyone! 🙂
Good morning All, WOW another a cute baby who knows the President is the best…..
If only he or she could vote, Michele. Good Mornimg and Happy Easter to you all.
Anniebella, hello and Happy Easter to you my friend….
Third photo from bottom, black magic, putting a hex on the GOP.
Reminds me of that scene in Color Purple. Remember? @ 1: 14
YESSSS!! I was thinking the same thing! But instead of going off on Danny Glover, he’s going off on the PLs and the tea baggers! LOL
that is the point i was attempting to make … lol
Wonderful pictures. Such a great way to wake up. This has been such an exciting week. I am fireď up. I love this place.
Thank you, Chipsticks. There is no such thing as too many pictures of the President and his family! Great start to my weekend!
WHAT AMAZING PICTURES…THANK YOU FOR SHARING THEM. PETE SOUZA ALWAYS MANAGES TO CAPTURE ON CAMERA…THE INNER WORKINGS OF THE PRESIDENT’S HEART! THERE IS A COMPASSION THERE THAT THIS COUNTRY HAS NEEDED IN LEADERSHIP FOR A VERY LONG TIME! MAY GOD DEEPLY BLESS OUR PRESIDENT AND HIS BEAUTIFUL FAMILY AS WE CELEBRATE THIS EASTER!
Good morning Chips, Thanks so much for all the beautiful pictures, videos, and articles. I do appreciate *ALL* that you do here. You are truly a Delight 🙂
Good morning, Everyone! Beautiful pics, and once again, a gorgeous baby is the center of attention in a pic!
I love that picture of Mrs. Obama and Dr. Jill. They both look radiant. And Mrs. O’s arms are sleek and FIERCE!
The photo of Michelle and Jill says it all. I doubt that any other First/Second lady pair have been such kindred spirits. I love their laughter, and the warmth and respect that they have for each other. When they do interviews together there is that easy ebb and flow that you often witness in long time partnerships. How lucky are we to have such a team as Obama-Biden leading the country.
Photo #4: gorgeous; someone on BWD commented that he must have a 32 inch waist.
To my people who love and care about fashion, can anyone tell me who designed Michelle’s dress? I really need that dress.
I have no clue who designed it but I know this website http://www.mrs-o.org always has fashion updates and the name of the designer of any outfit Mrs. Obama wears. If they don’t have the outfit up yet.. then you could probably email the picture to the site founder… Mrs.T and she could probably tell you. Hope this helps. 😀
UT Austin Liberal, great suggestion and I thank you.
Each baby picture I see now, reinforces my growing belief that the ‘angel’ in him/her reaches out to the ‘angel’ in the President. It amazes me that even very, very young babies seem extra aware of him and alert in his presence. Even babies young enough to respond primarily only to known faces! They actually seem to communicate with the President – every time! And, I know from online comments over the years that others have also noticed that when the babies are not looking him directly in the face, they are relaxing with supreme confidence on his shoulder, while HIS face registers extreme comfort, peace, or relaxation. In fact, when you cannot see the President’s face in a baby/child picture, you need only look at the face of the baby/child. The Man is goodness personified! My first sentence sounds dumb when I reread it, but how else can I explain the phenomenon? [Since it’s Easter I can possibly get away with this – It makes me wonder if he is indeed the ‘one who is to come, or should we expect another’?]
He certainly is extraordinary!
Wow! Another great group of photos. Pete Souza and Chipsticks makes magic together, he shoots – she posts! I am amazed at the amount of people in this photo of the Lincoln Memorial. I had no idea that many people got a surprise glimpse of POTUS. WOW!
OMG another cute Obaby! That last picture, he sporting that serious bizness, guys get yo ish together look.*teehee* I love my President.
Such lovely picures and the baby one is so cute. Just was wondering what that cute baby is thinking of while staring at the President. And I always wonder what goes on in those small heads of the babies and the older kids when they are interacting with Potus.
Good Afternoon my dear friends here. I too have enjoyed looking at the beautiful photos by Pete. He is amazing. His job is a glorious job. He even stated that in the DVD of WhiteHouse Photographer. Great DVD. Also, the FLOTUS, SLOTUS are just sweet spirits together. I was talking with my best friend, and we were trying to recall what First Lady and Second Lady ever were this visible and had this much fun and seriousness shown in public before. We Could Not Recall. We are in our 60 +. So my sweet and lovely young ones on this blog, enjoy it all. You all are so bless to have the technology and ARE using it to support, inform, and share this Presidency in such a wonderful way. TAKE IT ALL IN. You all are a delight to my heart each day. Thank you so much for encouraging me and thanks for your well of knowledge being used in such an important and appropriate manner. Be blessed this Easter and enjoy your families and friends. I love you all.
HZ, what a wonderful and sweet sentiment. I, too, am a seasoned sixty-something (68); and also love the energy and enthusiasium(sp) of this site (thanks Chips-keep up the good work). I am mostly a lurker, especially now because I am in the throes of moving and relocating. Twenty years in a house and downsizing to a smaller place. I never realized how much “stuff” one can accumulate over twenty years. What to take; what to throw out/give away, etc. But I digress. Coming to this site and reading the comments has been a mind savior. Keep me in your prayers for a smooth move and transition to a quieter smaller commuunity (going back home after 30 years). Happy Easter to everyone; peace and love. Forgive my rambling, lol.
gg
Happy Easter, Geegee and best wishes as you relocate! May you find welcoming neighbours, along with warmth and help so that you can settle in quickly.
