I’m glad he’s getting some much needed relaxation today! I’m exhausted just from watching his last several days of work!

Me too, he deserves some much needed r&r. I have never known anyone work as hard as PBO does, he is just awesome!

Have a Happy and blessed Easter to everyone on The Obama Diary.

Easter Blessings to all! I hope a real sense of renewal and hope is enjoyed by all.

The lilacs (at least I think they are lilacs) in this photograph are spectacular(and so is our wonderful President)….in chilly Minnesota ours are still weeks away.

Wisteria…I’m drooling over the possibility that Wisteria is in full bloom somewhere, cuz it sure as heck isn’t here.

ANd let’s not forget that we only see part of what he’s doing. The meetings behind the scenes, the phone calls, the reading of briefings late at night, etc…

Finally he has a long week-end to “recharge”. The work doesn’t completely stop ( security briefings, etc.) but there is plenty of time to relax. Bless you and your family, President Obama.

Happy Easter to the wonderful Chipsticks ( you can take a break too, you know lol !!) , and Happy Easter to everyone in TOD family !

      Thanks, Tulips!

I sent the article straight to my Facebook page with the caption: “Robert De Niro Smacks Trump, Compliments President Obama.”

This now makes the score for this week:

PBO = 3 (Chris Rock, Seinfeld, and De Niro)

      Trump = 0

De Niro is exactly right. Trump and the others are playing with people’s lives, and it’s very careless behavior. I love the way that De Niro transmitted the message to them that if they can’t back up what they say, they should shut up. He didn’t say this, but if I got the message, they did, too.

You’re a star Tulips, thank you so much for that link, just posted it. I already loved DeNiro …. but now? I’m going to buy everyone one of his movies on DVD. Again. 😉

FRom Robert Deniro: I know Obama was trying to bridge the gap. His intentions are really good. Maybe some things are not as good as we all would like but his intentions are good. A lot of these guys—their intentions are not even good. They’re just playing a game and they’re playing with people’s lives.”

Have you noticed that PBO does not have to say anything about the loonies and the haters? Others come to his defense, directly or indirectly, like those mentioned above. His life and his work can speak for itself, but it is nice to see high profile people, who will be heard by millions, put the word out.

Go brave and live strong, Mr. President!

Mrs. O doesn’t either. When she was on Gayle King she advised the Miss King to not listen to the daily noise. She says she watches HGTV or Food network before ever watching corporate news. Less stress… I follow my gorgeous smart FLOTUS Obama’s advice.

‘Others come to his defence… ..it is nice to have high profile people,…put the word out.’

The President does not need to ‘play his own horn’, and this is so very effective, IMO! 😆

DeNiro was always one of my favorite actors since Goodfellas. He brings a remarkable amount of honesty to every character he plays. It’s good to see, although he generally avoids talking about controversial issues, that he can be honest beyond acting as well.

Alot of these guys in politics and the media do not have good intentions. They practice exploiting people for their own gain. It is only about their money and their friend’s money.

They don’t care about the unborn because they don’t support WIC, HeadStart, and other programs to make life better for children.
They don’t care about the “sanctity of marriage.” They get divorced without a second thought.
They don’t care about small government. They run for office for the government perks– like unrivaled tax-payer funded health care and pensions. They want exclusive government–no matter what the size.
They don’t care about the Constitution because they are willing to break it for political expediency every chance they get. Isn’t the Constitution there to help us make tough choices, not only the easy ones? It is a document to live up to, not to dumb down to patriotic talking points.
They never cared about the debt or deficit. They just hate when the country votes in Democrats to take control of the purse strings. Republicans are all about borrowing and spending. At least the tax-and-spend Democrats are cash and carry in their approach to government spending.

These are the reasons I left the Republican Party, and why many people are. Even if former Republicans are not joining Democrats, there are too many who just can’t reach that level of cognitive dissonance. I just can’t with Republicans any more. Their intentions are just not good. They want one-party rule–not democracy. They are not patriots, but plutocrats. The Democrats have their faults, but they still want America to succeed for real people. I think the Republicans want power and money, and that’s really all they want.

I was an independent until candidate Obama came along. He exemplifies the kind of leader any community needs to bring out its potential. He appeals to the best in us.

Yes, I hear ya’. He’s a busy President, I just don’t quite remember other Prez’s being this busy, tho’ I must admit, I was never ever this tuned In to Politics, until 2008. I’m sure you don’t have to wonder why. Hehehe. Seriously, this Is a President that has and gives a lot of Energy. I tell you, he came In the White House Running and Working, and he hasn’t stopped. He made It a Point to set the rest of the world straight quickly, and that was to, let the world know that things will be different, and that he wants to respect them, and be peaceful, but he also wanted them to know that If *THEY* wanted to ride this train together In peace and Harmony they could, but If you wanted to terrorize, then we will COME AFTER YOU. I’m para-phrasing of course, but that was the gist of his Message. He wanted the rest of the world to know that He or We will work with them, help them, and be their Friends. In other words, we’ll be Friendly, but we AIN’T gonna be PUSHEOVERS. He made It a point to show himself or ourselves Friendly, from Git. Please excuse my slang language, I just felt like plain ol’ talking. I just can’t help It, I just love the Obamas. Good Hard Working, Determined, Smart Intelligent, Brilliant, People Loving President. YES! *I’M IN*, and Proudly so. So President Obama, I say, take a break when you feel the need to, Golf should be a good way to rid the stresses 🙂

You’re speaking my language, Luci! I understand the message and agree with you 100%. I was “in” in 2008, and I’ve been “in” ever since. I’ve never stopped praying for PBO. If no one on earth understands what he’s going through, God in heaven does, and He’s in a position to protect and help our president. I sincerely believe that this is why nothing the republicans have tried to do to him has been as successful as they had hoped. God has His hand on PBO.

The only people I pray for more than the President, his family and the folks that work with him are my kids. I really find consolation in knowing so many people are holding this man in the Light.

Great to see the President having a day to play some golf. I hope and pray that he will have a great time and try to just relax while out. Hope and pray that he and the First Family will have a blessed Easter also.
Thanks for the post of Mr. De Niro. Great!

Not to be shallow, but how cute is POTUS looking in his golf gear?! I swear, the man is gonna still be gorgeous when he’s 80 years old.

He is also in much better shape than those who are pictured with him. Others, who will remain nameless here, put on the pounds eating that great white house food at all hours of the day. His great shape is due, in part, to his discipline.

Good morning everyone! We here in Oklahoma City are rejoicing today…We have RAIN, real RAIN!!! We are in a stage of EXTREME drought, and rain is the most beautiful sight we’ve seen in months. I know many people have had too much rain, but our crops have died, and fires have burned crazily. Oh yes, the flowers behind the president are wisteria, a beautiful vine.
