I just wanted to let you know how very much I enjoy checking into this website. Yes…I’ve known you were here (h/t Oh For Goodness Sake), but I didn’t bother to add to my favorites and only came by ocassionally. LOL…I think it’s because once I’m here I can’t get out! So much to read and see.

But mostly, I am so very grateful to see all the beautiful pictures of our President with people so happy to see him, with babies, cute little children, Michelle…and yes….with VP Biden (what a pair!). Sometimes I get way too caught up in all the “He’s a Muslim, terrorist, shape-shifting lizard, NWO plant, George Soros backed, socialist, communist, facist, racist…blah, blah, blah…..” commentary and it’s so nice to come in here and see people that love Mr. President like I do.

    So THANK YOU VERY MUCH!

      ‘I think it’s because once I’m here I can’t get out!’

Yep, I totally identify with this! I keep trying to devise a strategy so that I can feel less addicted [Check around first, before signing in here / Check here first / Don’t check here until much later in the day / Do the housework and cooking first / Go online first BUT restrict yourself to a specific number of hours / Read a couple chapters in the current novel BEFORE turning on the computer / etc. etc.] but so far nothing works. The site is just ‘warm’ and addictive! Thanks Chipsticks and fellow commenters! I really do learn a lot from your insights, and I always feel like I’m enveloped within a caring community.

It wouldn’t surprise anyone to know that I agree with what the President is saying. I do believe something fishy is going on with these gas prices. Why are they going up? The rest of the economy have been suffering, but the big oil companies have been doing just great, so what are the excuses for the gas prices going up? And we need to realize that it is time to get our country off of our addiction to foreign oil. We drive these cars and trucks which uses lots of gas. In that CBS-NY Times poll it says 70% percent of people believe the country is heading in the right direction. Well I believe and trust this President.

I meant to say, 70% believe the country is headed in the wrong direction.

I have to wonder if they mean it’s going in the wrong direction now that the Republicans are in charge. They can’t really be saying that a growing economy, over two million jobs created, stock market gains that have restored our 401K accounts, changes to education, investments in infrastructure, better relationships internationally, optimism for the future – that those things represent the wrong direction! Given that not too long ago, we were facing a great depression, unemployment numbers were increasing at a rate of almost a million per month, the world hated this country’s leadership, the middle class was screwed. I think that the 70% is responding to what the Republicans are doing, and have plans to do – since they want to roll back all the changes, and they are keen to “take this country back” to the Stone Age. Anything other interpretation of that 70% would be ludicrous.
