Thanks Chipsticks for this schedule. It looks like the President and the First Lady will have another busy week. This is the most visible hardworking President in my lifetime. We love you, Mr. President and our First Family. God bless them.

I have never seen that übercute photo before!

    CAN I HAZ???

Pictures of President Obama with that ADORABLE redhead have always been my absolute favorite. And due to all the magnificent photos folks like chipsticks regularly bring to us – that’s saying a lot. My gawd…I could just squeeze her!!!!

Apparently she was in the back of the pack of a group of older kids on that easter egg roll. Obama went in to cheer her on and giver her a bit of an assist. Simply too cute for words.

Is this that same little itsy-bitsy girl?—from my fave clip of him showing her how to run, trying to help her get in gear and get in the race? It was the cutest.

        • April 22, 2011 at 6:39 pm

I remember her from last year. She was having such a hard time getting that egg to the finish line, but she kept going and going. Persistence personified. What a cute little love bug!

By the way Friday is the royal wedding too. Let’s see, watching the first family and Gabby Giffords OR David beckham and victoria chipsticks at the royal wedding, too much showbiz. I will go with my president and Gabby and the girls plus the space shuttle.

Wow, we’re right around the corner from May already?! Scary how time is flying. I really need to get it together. =)

Chipsticks, I noticed that you’ve been posting some “retro” clips of Obama larely. Have you sen this commercial from 1991?:

And her is an interview with (state) senator Obama conducted by Sean “Puff Daddy”/”Diddy”/”Ciroc Obama”/Etc. Combs in ’04.

Oh, and one more from either ’05 or ’06:

Wow what a schedule. I hope he plans to sleep sometime during the week.
Smartypants, I agree about the photos of President Obama and the little redhead. Some of my absolute favorites.

Our local NBC affiliate Sports reporter is doing a story on Reggie Love (IReggie) that is pretty good. I am trying to paste a clip from it.

    • April 22, 2011 at 6:08 pm

      Thanks so much louc1.

I loves me some Reggie Love!!!! And he’s always in the background. Good to hear from him.

I sometimes wonder what is in Mr. Love’s future.

      • April 22, 2011 at 7:07 pm

I’ve been thinking of the next presidential candidate for 2016, wondering who President Obama is planning to groom for that position. I’m sure he’s thinking about it, because we’ve got to keep the Democrats in for as long as possible.

Anyway, I wonder if Reggie Love would be presidential material? I don’t know his background, but he’s a beautiful guy.

A Latino or LatinA would be great too, but they’d both need to have a lot of visibility, a place in the hearts and thoughts of the American People. Michelle Obama? Would she have a chance? Or will the pundits start talking about “dynasties” as they did with Hillary.

One person I would very sad to see in that office after all the beauty of the Obamas is a white man. I’m afraid I’d be turned off by anyone who is Melanin deficient.

I am personally in love with Mayor Cory Booker, and think he would be AMAZING, I don’t care if he’s only a Mayor. He is WICKED SMART.

          • April 22, 2011 at 7:26 pm

            Cory Booker is da bomb.

He might need to beat Christie for Governor of NJ first though.

I don’t know much about Deval Patrick – but I heard this week that he has a book out and thought that maybe I should check it out. I know he and Obama are close – so that’s a good sign.

Of course, I look forward to the day when this country would elect someone like Van Jones. Nothing wrong with dreaming a bit, is there?

But it does begin to beg the question…where are the women of color. I hear some good things about Kamala Harris (AG in CA).

Cory Booker would get my vote because he is showing the same true grit on the local level that Barack did. I hope he is being groomed for better things.

I hugely respect Corey Booker as well, and have also heard excellent things about Duvall Patrick. I think another person who is representative of a minority….Women, African American, Latino, LGBT, et al, just not Rich, White and Male I think President Obama’s successor will be very critical to sustaining and expanding on the progress made by this administration. And although I always maintain you should never say never, I’ll make an exception…I never want to see another Republican in the White House.

Hey Lou1, thank you so much for that – I’ve been trying to download the video for the last hour, but it won’t play for me 😦 Will keep trying, thanks again.

The Easter Egg Hunt at the White House brings back happy memories. Baby girl is adorable.
I just love her ladybug boots, she is quite the fashionista at an early age.

One of the MANY things I love about the President, is his ability to be in the moment. Wherever he is, whatever he is doing, he is doing it with his whole heart. At the moment of that adorable picture, that little girl and her egg were the most important things to him. He lives fully each moment.

I think that I read some place that Reggie has a degree in finance. He was headed to Wall St. before he teamed up with POTUS. I really like this young man. I hope there will be even more great things for him after serving the President. You probably can count on it, if POTUS has anything to say about it.
