Oh, those Puritans who ran away from Europe and settled here are a plague on this country. Their rigidity is amazing.
What is wrong with repugs? For those who follow the Bible and Jesus one would except more kindness not such hatred. So many ugly people. I want to know where their love is?

Maybe it’s me, but I see a possible threat here. I hope the Secret Service is keeping an eye on the people who produced this poster. Looks like it might be an attempt to incite another twisted “patriot” to take action. You have to wonder about anybody who would keep a flyer like that about Pres. Kennedy for nearly FIFTY years, then reword it to fit Pres. Obama. A person or persons with that kind of mindset has to be watched, even if it came from somebody whose getting along in age-they don’t hesitate to pass it along to their children. Can you imagine living that long with such HATE in your heart, and thinking it’s OK to teach your children to hate? Must be a miserable life.

When there is hate in ones heart, then there would have to be no room in that heart for love. Those two just would not coexist together. Both are two powerful sources, and I would think that you would have to choose one or the other to reside in your heart. I choose love. Let pray that others hearts will be changed for the better angel.

    Hi Chipsticks,

Big fan of your blog & longtime lurker here. 😉

Would you please let me know where this is from? I think Virginia is right. This poster could be see as an implied threat to our President’s safety. (It reminds me of one of those horrible “fugitive slave” posters that blanketed the South shortly before the conclusion of the American Civil War.) So, I would very much like to send information about whomever created it to the local Secret Service office.

    Thanks.

    MJ

I’m 67 and the hatred has been here as long as I can remember…..the difference was even up to a few years ago, you could never get away with what these fools are saying aloud. It was always “whispered”……….now, anything can be stated, and there is no shame for stating it. And most of these crowd of hate filled people call themselves God fearing christians. How is it possible to call yourself a Christian and be so filled with hate?! How do you attend church and come out and spew hatred?!

Two very bright, articulate, handsome, charismatic men……jealous, hateful people just can’t tolerate that in those who are “other” than themselves. JFK was Irish and Catholic…..I remember all the hullabaloo, then the deep grief that engulfed all of us after November 22, 1963. I’m of the generation whose tag line was “Where were you when you heard…???” I know the protection is much better now, and for that I am very thankful. We are also a much more diverse nation now, both religiously and racially, even though there are those who can’t believe it nor accept it.
I still firmly believe that though the hateful minority is loud and scary and obnoxious, they are very much the minority.

The word out on JFK was that he was going to take orders from the Pope who would be the real President. The international world grieved but I want to also make it known that I worked with several intelligent professional medical people who couldn’t keep quiet at work that day saying how much they hated him and were glad that he was gone. Scary.

I think we all have had fears of this from the beginning of his run. The first thing my 16 yr old granddaughter said when I told her he was running was,”They are going to————him”. He is the first candidate to get Secret Service Protection while running and he got it very early in the campaign.

What is the name of the organization in a southern state who keeps track of all the militas and dangerous groups in America?

He needs our collective prayers. I feel God is looking after President Obama/family and VP Biden/Dr.Jill after that airplane incident with that fully-loaded C-17 whose wake causes severe turbulence and, in extreme cases, can cause a plane that enters into it to crash.

Lord put Your arms of protection around our POTUS/FLOTUS/family and VPOTUS/SLOTUS/family and give Eagle Eyes to our Secret Service.
