Good nite O family, since the Michelle air flight controller incident, my stomach is going to be in nuts tomorrow until MY president reaches his destination. God please protect this wonderful man, keep him safe from any danger because the whole world depends on him.
Let us pray for his safety.
I think the FAA is going to be changing some rules. When he reaches SF that pilot is going to contact the controller in advance and say “Listen up, this is AFI coming in. I’ve got the package and you better make sure that the bow doesn’t get twisted”
You are clever, your analogy made me smile. And they better straighten up and guide right…..
barb that was my first lol of this beautiful day. I think I will say a special air traffic controller prayer for AF1.
Once again this activity goes back to 1981 and Reagan’s firing of the Air Traffic Controllers and the breaking of the union. The union had laws in place to prevent just such incidents, but without union guidelines and protection, the bottom line became the god, and people were pushed beyond endurance. There was no protection for them. NOW…people are concerned. NOW, guidelines will once more be in place. This incident illustrates why we need unions, and why, if the Republican governors and legislatures across the country have their way, we will become an unsafe country.
I believe in my heart that President Obama is really tired of this particular situation because it affects peoples lives, and he does know and care about those lives very much. We will continue to pray for wisdom for our President to make sure that he has the best people in charge of the FCC and all other departments which run our air traffic contol system. Also remember, he does not tolerate “non team work.” And he does not tolerate putting peoples lives at risk at any cost. You can see the stress and deep pain on his face when he talks about the wars and how lives are changed forever for so many of our wonderful service men and women; I cannot even think that he will allow this type of careless activity in this department. There will be some changes, believe me.
