I think I better keep my thoughts on this occasion to myself.

I am not one to elevate ministers because they have “clay feet” just like I do. Pastor T.D. Jakes of the Potter’s House in Texas is a dynamic, humble televangelist. His sermons are humble and he seems truly caring that people get the right message from the Word. He usually leads you to Scripture as opposed to telling you what he thinks It says–He has a “Read it yourself” mentality. I am so pleased to see him next to our young President. He will be a monumental strength for President Obama. I have taken care of my developmentally disable sister for many years and is often unable to attend church. Pastor Jakes and Dr. Charles Stanley are a source of comfort for me when I can’t get out on Sundays.

Graciouslady, thanks for your comments. I enjoy T.D. Jakes also. I agree that he will be an encourager for President Obama, and the President will have someone to call on and pray with when he needs it from any of these pastors who are very close to this President and his Administration. I thank you for sharing such a gentle personal account of you not being able to attend church. I also like Dr. Charles Stanley. Have you heard of Dr. John MacAthur and Dr. Charles Swindoll? They are both very good. They are online and radio daily. Enjoy and I will pray for you, if you do not mind. Thank you Graciouslady.

HZ, your prayers are most gratefully welcomed, ThanX so much. Dr. Swindoll I know but I am not familiar with John MacArthur. He’s on radio? What station?–Marlene

No, that is T.D. Jakes. It is most importantly what is in POTUS’s heart that really counts , and what do we see as his actions. He needs it in this time especially. I think we can trust him on this one. One thing I like about President Obama, he never boast about his personal beliefs and he does not put others down for theirs. He states it when needed, but he also has respect for others and their faith. I admire that about him. Let us continue to pray for our President. I love you all on this site, and I pray that all will have a wonderful time during this season in your own private way.

Vashti McKenzie of the African Methodist Episcopal Church forgot her Sunday go to meeting hat which the AME women are infamous for as I noted previously.

My mother is a testament to that tradition. God bless her sweet little heart.

    Ciao form Europe,
