what a babyface!!!! He’s such a pretty-boy. No wonder Michelle was like”….I married you cause you were cute and smart….” we’ll leave off the rest of what she said at that particular time [that asking her to be okay with him running was the stupidest thing he’d ever asked of her] but that was another time, another place, and frankly, it’s history. 😉

I have to laugh because I immediately remembered the story of how Michelle’s mother would constantly tell him that he needs a haircut. 🙂

He was/is a cutie for sure.

It’s funny how he used to wear a mini bush (it made his ears less noticeable lol). Now he gets it cut very low. 🙂

WOW..my president has not changed one iota – in terms of how he thinks and sees things. He did look very young though!

His thoughts on education have not changed at all. I like that. Also, I think the hair is very cute.

Wow. He was 36 at the time and he looked more like an out of college 24 year old!. Did you notice some of those folks listening to him? They had a smile on their face. Who knew at that time, that this cutie face would appoint his first lady at the time as his Secretary of State exactly in 10 years! Good lord.. Somethings would happen only in America!

He looks so young, but very cute. You are right, sunshine, between this and the Oprah video, it is clear his thoughts have not changed on most things.

As others have mentioned here, the consistency of his thinking and stated goals is remarkable. Even in the late 90s when the country was more prosperous he talks about those that are not sharing in that prosperity.

And when he talked about affordable housing at about $175,000 (not exact figure, just going by memory) and how that didn’t include those of very low income housing. He was not leaving out the people who had no voice and were being over-looked by those on the panel. Just as he does today.

Or how prosperity at the city and state levels mirrors prosperity of the country. This seems to carry his theme of the rising boat lifts us all and I am my brothers/sisters keeper. Very good and kudos on finding these older clips.

OMG I just realized that Joe the plumber was right. He WAS talking about the re-distribution of wealth. lol
