Seems like our guy has been the most consistent adult in the room for a very long time. This is great stuff.

    Ahhh consistency….beautiful 🙂
As a side note……Olbermann was a blast from the past I didn’t need. You know I completely forgot about him? It was jarring to see his face and hear his voice. I felt like….you know when you’ve had an acrimonious break up with someone? But it’s done and over with and you don’t see or hear from that person for awhile? You’ve moved on, maybe met someone new and things are just going…..well. Sure, you run into some of their(the scum you broke up with) crazy-ass friends (Maddow & Company), that drive you up the wall, purely because they are idiots. You yell at them and tell them where to stick it, but the subject of who you broke up with never comes up. So there you are living your life, there are a few local dummies you have to contend with, but…such is life. And then, all of a sudden, one quiet Saturday evening, you’re relaxing, unwinding, maybe having dinner with a glass of wine….and BAM!!! There he is…what a reptile. But you know, it’s all good, cause you’ve just spent the last hour watching a documentary about your favorite guy and his photographer, and, well… if all else fails, the wine helps to boulster your equilibrium.
p.s- the video was nice Ms. Chips, even if it did have Rosemary’s Cry Baby in it 😉

🙂 I was a little reluctant to post anything featuring ‘Rosemary’s Cry Baby’ (love that!), but I figured we’d cope with the ordeal just to hear that lovely story. I hope we all recover, though!

“Rosemary’s Cry Baby” is the first chuckled I’ve had out loud today…thank you so much for that.

Lisa. I have to confess that I chuckled at your description of your ‘blast from the past’ and his cohorts. A truly fitting description of all parties. Thanks to ‘theboysisters’ and Chipsticks for this totally ‘new’ memory lane video about THE MAN! I confess that the source is totally inconsequential; finding little pieces about BHO is awesome.

What a gifted young man, even then. And you are right, he has been beating that change drum for a long long time. And to the whiners, the President has been pretty consistent in his message from then to now. Nice video. Thanks as always Chipsticks. I so love my President.

He’s always been a hopey changey kind of guy and I’m loving every minute of it, thank you very much. I’ve noticed in early film what a serious, grownup, pleasant kind of guy he’s always been and continues to be. I imagine that a lot of people misread him because of this, i.e. rethugs, like Paul Ryan & Gang. The GOP is still wailing about his speech. They clearly believe they were “tricked.”

1991! I feel like a late comer not quite learning about him until the keynote address in 2006.

That is a great clip. And like all of you marvel at the consistency of his message thru the years. Nice!

@Lisa, that was such a great description of the Olberman breakup. had me laughing but good.

He is a true Man of the people who realized early on that change must come from the People. He could not be anyone else but a community organizer. He probably did not realize the scale of his organizing. I find it strange that his biggest help will come from policies of the so called elected teabaggers.

I thought about this when I sent this vid to Chippy. I’m still a little salty towards Olbermann too, but the story was just too good. This aired right before the election, too.
