tea person seriesly upset by stupid people

They’ve been looking at the photos of the President at the Lincoln Memorial today, and they’re not happy about the amazing reception he got. This Teabagger was particularly angry:

Almost as good as…..

Kind of cute, Chipsticks, with the little circle on top of the “i” in the word, English!

Made me smile too, Joan! People in glasshouses shouldn’t, of course, lob stones about the place – my spelling is often Tea-Party-esque. I just loved the delicious irony of this character calling people “stupid”, before making a seriesly bad effort at spelling. 🙂

We, the Pragmati, at least have the sense to proofread what we write and look up the correct spelling of a word if we think we have spelled it incorrectly, but it seems that the tea partiers have no similar motivations. I taught in a very, very red area in GA where the mindset toward education among quite a few in that small town was that being well educated wasn’t really “that” important because “Ma,” “Pa,”and “Grandma/pa” have been sort of successful (keeping their heads barely above water,) and the kids can do the same thing. There was no recognition of the fact that the world in which “Ma,” “Pa,” and “Grandma/pa” grew up in has changed significantly and continues to change at a rapid pace. I have always believed that this is why so many people here resist change so vehemently. This is also why I believe that the tea partier whose comment you posted above believes everything he wrote.

Good morning Chips. Mostly a lurker, I come here often throughout each day, And yes, the laundry other chores do pile up. :o)
You keep us informed. You daily gift us with at least one belly laugh. You soothe and lift our spirits through the photos and videos you choose to post. I see you as always brilliant and civil. You poke fun without ever being meanspirited. How like our current CIC you are. Thank you, thank you.

Apparently a lot of people who were there WERE screaming at the top of their lungs. So he would have been in good company. Not that a bitter old teabagger would ever go to the Lincoln Memorial unless Bachmann or one of the other crazies were there for some reason.

You couldn’t sell this in a script, it’s too laughable – yet it’s true.

Why hasn’t Howie Mandel doesn’t this for a reality show???

Wonder if Boehner is reflecting on switching parties 😉 I say that only half jokingly. Could you imagine awakening every day knowing you were going to have to deal a pack of teabaggers in your caucus!! Let’s face it, Speaker Pelosi only had to deal with Dennis :)))

    • April 9, 2011 at 9:40 pm

Can you even imagine the ridicule Weeping Boehner would get if he was a Democrat?

    • April 9, 2011 at 10:42 pm

J’Orange aka Boehner sold himself out in order to appease the Tea Party. Now he realizes how difficult it is to have to govern as an extremist vs being moderate. I wonder if he cried when President Obama and VP Biden handed him the 1-2 punch. Oh how I wish I could have been a fly on the wall.

I have a friend who is one of those WATB, and while voting straight Dem, will not vote for Obama. Now mind you, he hated the Nader voters on 2000.

I had to point out he was one now.

I’m not sure he will see it.

While I want to call them morans, I also feel sad for them. They are so upset, afraid and angry and yet President Obama is the man who would give them what they want and give it graciously and compassionately. Health care for themselves and their children. A sound economy with jobs and money flowing. Safety and respect in the world. He cares about them no matter what.

That’s the gift I would love to give to them. There is no need for the fear and anger. Relax. Work with us and let’s make the world a better place for all of us to live in.

What a beautiful comment, Suzanne. You’re absolutely right.

You know… the more I observe President Obama, the more I realize that in essence, what President Obama is attempting is an operation of healing. Healing the fear, healing the hate, the divide. And the only way to do it is with compassion and listening, reassurance.

Ghandi, one of President Obama’s heroes, said that if you want change in the world, you have to BE the change. President Obama really tries to follow this advice, and to make thousands and thousands of people do the same.

You can’t make this stuff up. You always have the best pictures Chipsticks. It would be funny if it wasn’t so sad.

kittypat it is very depressing for me. The coughing, does this mean you are not better?
Yes, they are ignorant, but it does not change the fact that each of those hateful people have a vote.

Perhaps the frustrati and the ugly, ignorant people could join forces to destroy Obama. Right now, I abhor the “left” and the horrific bigoted people. To my mind they are the same. They are all bigots. It is truly sickening.

It is depressing DR, but I have to laugh or else I’d cry. My belief is that these types of people stand in the margins of society and I’m at odds with myself as to what kind of attention they deserve. The harm they cause is not funny but I live with the hope that people who don’t exist in the black and white world they occupy will stand back and look and say I don’t want to be that way.

I am not a blogger but one day I went to OFA and told off a teabagger, who was posting all kind of stuff; she/he responded in “Spanish” to me. I let him/her have it in my first/original language! She/he either left the blog or changed “its” name.

He’ll never be my President one of those racists haters tweeted. Well that is just fine, he’s mines and I’m so glad he is. They want everyone to speak english, well someone need to tell those haters that they need to learn to spell what they want everyone else to speak. Ask those tea bagger haters if I care if they don’t claim President Obama as their President? NOPE, ZERO!!!!!

That person can like it or not, but his/her beliefs cannot alter what is true. President Obama is their President…sadly they are to deluded to recognize their own good fortune.

  13. April 9, 2011 at 10:34 pm

It is amazing that they all can’t spell isn’t it?

*sigh deeply* It must suck to live with so much hate and jealousy just bubbling up inside ones self. Bless their little teabaggering racist hearts. I come bearing good news though. In an extraordinarily short time potus Obama has set up an enormous amount of legislation so all Americans can acquire better education.

I do hope the tea party members take advantage of his good works cause obviously they need some education (Oh for our tea party guests that translates to “edumacation” “learnings” or “edumacated”)………just saying. 😀 bwahahahahahaha sorry couldn’t resist. ❤

I found this book last night and if anyone if interested in reading it I posted the link. The title of the book is
The Authoritarians written by Bob Altemeyer from the University of Manitoba Canada. I read the part listed below describing 12 personality characteristics of a Tea Partier and what does that mean to us today and in the future. We already know most of this but I thought it was very well written. There is an entire book but I am just refering to:

I read the book of Professor Altemeyer last year on line. Thank you for bringing to my attention is comment of Tea Party Movement. His predictions about the mid-terms election was scarily accurate.

I too STRONGLY recommend the works of Bob Altemeyer. EVERY democrat should read his work.

No offense, but was this particular post really necessary. It just dampens the spirit here. I know it’s important to keep up with losers like Boehner and Paul Ryan, since unfortunately, they actually matter. But do we really need a post on some random idiot from Freeperville.

Not trying to be disrespectful, but most of us come here for positivity. Posts about hateful posts from hateful people like that do nothing to spread the word about all that President Obama is doing.

I just don’t see the purpose.

Sorry Kels but only Chipsticks who owns and started this blog and gives selflessly of her time and energy and brilliance gets to decide what gets posted here! If a post “offends” or “depresses” you then please feel free to skip it!

We trust Chipsticks! We trust her heart, her mind and her decisions implicitly!

I’m starting to just feel sorry for them. They’re incredibly scared and being led by the nose by a small group of ultra-rich, cynical ideologues who have spent decades promoting this crazed, loony, no-government vision for society. Sad to see.

Also, this was a research done about Conservative vs. Liberal brain…it is very interesting, it should go viral…

In the study, led by Ryota Kanai of the University College London, people who identified themselves as liberals generally had a larger anterior cingulate cortex — a comma-shaped region near the front of the brain that is involved in decision-making. By contrast, those who identified as conservatives had larger amygdalas — almond-shaped structures that are linked with emotional learning and the processing of fea
