President Obama travels today to Philadelphia and New York to continue pressing his energy policies and to attend an annual meeting of a civil rights group headed by activist Al Sharpton.

The president will travel first to Philadelphia to hold a town hall meeting at Gamesa Technology Corp., a Philadelphia area manufacturer of wind turbines.

He will then continue to New York for the 20th anniversary of the National Action Network. Major topics at the meeting are education, health care and youth violence. Sharpton has also drawn attention to double-digit unemployment in the black community.

Hey guys the only responsible adult in the room (President Obama) just called back congressional leaders from both sides of the aisle to come over to the White House today and sit down to once again hash out the 2011 budget. So apparently he’ll once again try to deal with the republican’s whining and what not.. beofe he departs for Philly to address everyday Americans. Wishing the President a whole bunch of GOODLUCK 🙂

    FIRED UP!!!!

Now that President Obama has declared his candidacy, the money is rolling in.
Campaign office: 23,000 contributions so far.
97% of them for $200 or less.

This is hilarious. Newt Gingrich criticizes President Obama for launching his campaign for a second term by accusing him of “extorting contributions”. I can’t stop laughing. Me thinks Newt might be a tad intimidated by PBO.

“Here’s a president who 18 months before the election is going to use his office to extort contributions on a scale we’ve never seen before,” Gingrich said in New Hampshire where he addressed the Institute of Politics at St. Anselm College in Manchester. “He’s in effect trying to create a Chicago style machine for the whole country with a billion dollars.”

“It’s not about us, it’s about the money and it’s about the president’s ability to coerce and run over the American people by building a machine so big nobody can challenge him,” Gingrich said.

But the former Republican House Speaker said Obama can still be beat. ***

*** I guess it occurred to Newt that the Republican Party still has Karl Rove and his three biggest donors, Koch Brothers, Dick Armey, The U.S. Chamber of Commerce (anonymous foreign donors), Citizens United ruling, special interests lobbyists, Wall Street, Health Insurers, and Big Oil on their side. How dare President Obama try to raise enough money to fight back.

And do we have to remind this repugnant individual that he’s the one with the scams? Remember the report Rachel did on his selling certificates and other things to get money? He is truly repugnant.

I’m so happy to have donated on Monday and I will be doing so again…and again.

Love that too. His re-election campaign has already brought out the crazies. I signed up for the Townhall and made a comment and had tons of right-wing responses in minutes.

This re-election campaign is going to REALLY bring out the worse in the Obama naysayers. I know the President is going to remain cool and watch his haters exhaust themselves to the point of high blood pressure. Girsd your armours, people – we are for the long haul here

Come Nov 2012, we’ll all be chating – FOUR MORE YEARS…….FOUR MORE YEARS……FOUR MORE YEARS……FOUR MORE YEARS !!!
