$10 says Rush will start using “Servant-in-Chief” and then saying “Wha? Al Sharpton said it first”…

I loved that line. I thought Al did a fantastic job.

But where was Tavis, where was Cornell? lol.

He may have a few more gray hairs and lines on his face, but he’s just as beautiful as ever, and I love him more than ever.

God bless you, President Obama. No enemy formed against you shall prosper.

Take that Tavis Smiley and Cornell West!

My words exactly. Cornell has completely gone off the deep end. He apparently wrote a piece on Rawstory a day or two ago, and he decimated the president. I could not bring myself to read it.

They cannot stand the fact that the president is smarter and hipper than either one of them. I suppose they felt that he would bow down to them to curry their favor. I guess they felt they were going to teach the president how to be a black president. Truth is they are jealous.

I can no longer even look at a photo of either of them.

“And you shall know them by their works.” Can the Rev. Al get an amen?!

“When I first met Senator Obama, I didn’t know what to make of him… But as I looked at what he did…here’s a man that rose from a single-parent home, went to Ivy League schools and became the top in Harvard. Could have chose [sic] any law firm in Manhattan or Chicago. He chose to go to a housing development in Chicago and work with those that were most needed [sic] of his work. Look at the choice he made – not to become rich and well-heeled. He took his Ivy League education and invested in us. And now that he fights these battles, those that never went back to the community, that got in the Ivy League places and got on an ivory tower…take shots at him for standing up for us. They don’t speak to us, they don’t talk for us, and we’re tired of hearing them talk about the President.”

Hallelujah! Thank you, Rev. Al! You spoke for me right there. Preach it! Cuz the hypocrites like West & Smiley need to hear it. Can’t say you’re my favorite person, but thank you.

Thank you for the transcript. Was so very proud of Rev Sharpton for speaking so eloquently and the response in the room was outstanding!! Tavis and Cornell should take a hint and stfu, at least.

Oh my goodness!!! Could not have said it better than Al Sharpton!!! Wow!!! Thank you Al Sharpton!!! He has grown in my estimation for his steadfast support of President Obama in a time where others have chosen money, t.v face time and notoriety in exchange for obstructing, undermining and attacking the President with outright lies, exaggerations and fabrications!!!

And their sponsors are no less than Wal-Mart, Exxon, etc. Haven’t seen them push Wal-mart or Exxon to do anything for the black community. But when Tavis used to have his black state of the union, those were some of his biggest sponsors.

They are opportunists. And these guys can’t point to anything they have done for the black community.

OT, that picture of Magic Johnson was priceless. During the primaries, he was a staunch Hillary supporter. Go figure.

    Well, Rev. Al, Say so!

Take that Tavis, and Cornell West and others of that ilk.

“Servant-in-chief”; so many positivie ways to interpret this.

I also have a new appreciation for Al Sharpton. There is just something about PBO that brings out the best in so mmany people. He wants us to be better and to do more; to be grown up. This trait is what the haters are fighting against. That he can inspire millions; most of whom have never acted; have never known that they have power or how to use it. The change is here. The days are numbered for those who want to hold on to the bad old days. Hallelujah!

I’ve been a fan of Rev. Sharpton for a while.. he was one of the smartest guys running in the primaries back in either 2000 or 2004 and I’m so glad he’s had our President’s back. I believe there are far far more of us than the naysayers, those angry few are just louder – we’ve kept our peace for the most part these two years, letting President Obama show this country and the world what he’s capable of.. I think most of us figured he didn’t need us micro-managing the job we gave to HIM to do. Now its time for his rehiring, thus I believe we’ll be seeing/hearing a lot more of ‘us’ speaking up and out on behalf of President Obama.. Our time is now and I believe we have always been the force and the ‘movement’. And I too say thank you Al- you speak for me here. And I think those thousands and thousands of donations received within 24 hours of POTUS filing is a fine sign that we know what we have to do and we mean business.

Amen Rev Al. Thanks for standing up for our President. One man can’t do it all by himself. So many in the community forget our President didn’t have it easy but he overcame. Tavis & Cornell & others could learn from you. Our President is doing the best he can with what he has. Either we turn back the hands of time or we move forward with him.

I’ve never seen them before and yes, I love them too! There is SUCH A THRILL in being able to see ‘old’ videos of this President while he is still in office!! 😀 It’s one of the first things that endeared this site to me – the ‘memory lane’ videos. I get a high from watching every single one because each one reveals the consistency, integrity, charm, sense of humour and ‘reality’ of the President! We have said this here before, but repetition of the truth doesn’t hurt – we are blessed to have THIS MAN in control at this time in world history!

Donna, you are undoubtedly our Video Queen -THANKS! 😆 😆 Thanks too Chipsticks, for keeping the doors open so Donna, and others, can share when they find something good, and we can enjoy it in peace and comfort.

    Thank you Rev Al.

Nobody is asking for deification, but rather a simple demonstration of respect, and the benefit of perspective.

Respect shouldn’t be such a rare commodity. Our President graces us everyday with a very real model for respectful conduct.

Magic Johnson’s delight makes me smile. Is that his daughter on his right, she seems to share her Father’s excitement.
