Our First Lady is absolutely radiant. I love the fact that she is providing mentors for these young ladies.

    Thanks for the pictures Chipsticks.

Also, I should add FLOTUS’s dress is amazing! It payed for itself by now (good investment). She wore to a funeral twice, at the kennedy center and here…. That’s how real people recycle their outfits, I have done that with my black pencil skirt 😀 (wedding, work, date…etc)

Those are the kinds of clothes I buy, stylishgurl. Some people call them old fashioned, some call them too conservative, but I call them “flexible” and “enduring” styles that seldom go out of style. I wouldn’t know what to do if I had the money to buy every item of clothing I like, and it always turns out that I like the most expensive items! I’m a nut about anything having to do with Tahari.

I wonder what the President thinks when his wife leaves the residence looking that great. Does he well, stop and think how lucky he is?

    • March 30, 2011 at 10:12 pm

He must be confident the First Lady will come back – I mean, he even invites this class of person to the White House and doesn’t regard it as risky:

      That’s a confident husband. 😆

First lady Michelle Obama is wonderful and of course so is her husband the president.
I have wondered if in fact that the president would have been elected if his wife were say blonde. I doubt it. Seriously doubt it.

You know my mom reminded me about the Clinton -Lewinsky thing awhile back and all her friends were saying to that Hillary should have left Bill. My mom said nope wrong move. Who would give up being first lady for an indiscretion. Maybe after leaving the White House but not while there.

Which brings me to another point, Michelle Obama is a sister. Trust me her house is in order she know everything and contact by her husband our president and she has eyes in the back of her head. Make a move towards her man, even if it is his fault entirely, it is you who will suffer the greatest.

BTW That photo is hot fire mocha nad white chocolate.

        Ciao form Europe,

        Lee

Thank you so much for sharing this on your site here, Chipsticks. I love our First Lady. I think she started this program in the fall of 2009. These young ladies are so blessed to go through this program. Thanks again, Chipsticks. This site is so refreshing.

Well chipsticks there is much more to that for him to have so much confidence in himself to bring George clooney to the white house. There must be a secret weapon you know…am just saying. And don’t get me started Girl, I have been at my best behavior lately.

I’m sure D.C has never seen anything like this! A President and First Lady who actually care about and embrace the young people in previously ignored disadvantaged neighborhoods around our nation’s capital.

This is why many of D.C’s socialites are pissed with the Obamas. They have consciously reached out to the general community as opposed to catering to those who think they are the movers and shakers of DC.

P.s, I’m not so pleased to see the sly and gossipy Mrs Stephanopolous (Ali Wentworth). I know she’s been trying so hard to insinuate herself into the Obamas circle for so long! Watch out for her Mrs Obama, Ali has an agenda and it’s not a good one!

Audrey, Ali Wentiworth is friends with Oprah and Gail, and I think Michelle knows how to deal with any individual person whether they support her husband or not. May God bless her kind soul. Good nite my O family I have to wake up at 5:30 and see if in 30 years I look like Geena Davis.

She’s not really “friends” with Oprah and Gayle. She WORKS as a correspondent for the show and if you notice, she is used sparingly these days.
It was on an Oprah show that she babbled on about her kids being at Sidwell and as she started to tell a bit too much about Obama girls, Oprah shut her down.
Kids attending the same school does not mean Mrs Obama necessarily interacts with or bumps into her!
Anyway, the woman talks way too much and her husband is full of it!

Audrey, I do remember that when Ali and her husband were in D.C. (before he got the GMA gig), their kids went to the same school as the Obama girls (Sidwell), and Ali would see them all the time. So they definitely know one another and as Me4obama said, I feel confident Mrs. O will watch her back with probably everyone she runs across except for immediate family and those few close friends from Chicago—it’s a shame she will always have to be so careful around people but it comes with the territory I guess.

I would love to see the video of this event!

Man oh man, F.L. Michelle’s dress is slamming. I’ve not seen this on her before, but it is definitely a classic. Somehow, IMO, she looks better than anyone else there. And I’m not being biased. She just gets more and more gorgeous the older she gets. Work it, girl 😀

Hmmmm…I’m beginning to think that the real reason that the GOP candidates don’t want to run in 2012 is not they are afraid they can’t fill Obama’s shoes (which they can’t), but they are afraid that their stepford wives can’t fill Michelle’s shoes!!

What an absolutely wonderful event. All these fabulous role models and gorgeous mentors for these terrific young women. What an opportunity Mrs. O has provided. I hope we hear more about the progress of this program for several more years!!
