‘newt & callista’s excellent adventures’

Warning: if you have a weak stomach do not click play

From Slate

I really only have one question after watching this: Why does Callista looked permanently amazed? Is it Newt’s magnificence that leaves her wide-eyed with wonder?

    Is it amazement or terror?

Callista – the congressional staffer 26 years younger than Newt that he was having an affair with the same time as he was attacking Clinton for his Lewinsky affair.

I think it’s more like plastic surgery.

Is it just my prejudice showing, or does their staring at each other seem staged/artificial? Of course, full disclosure forces me to admit that I do have some real examples with which to compare their performance. 😉

Right, blepharoplasty. Whatever it was, it went horribly wrong.

Now… don’t take this in a bad way, because I love the site and visit everyday, but I would like to express my opinion in as nice a way as possible that there’s too much Republican\Tea Party stuff on here. I like to come here to get away from the crazies, for rational, intelligent appreciation of an amazing person – President Obama. I know it is all well justified rebuttal of the Rep\Tea Party nonsense, but I would be happy if I never heard Sarah Palin’s name again. Thanks muchly for all the positive Pres Obama material! It is very convenient to have it all here in one spot and much appreciated.

Point taken, Martha, I’ll bear it in mind, promise! It’s just that with the election season approaching I’m taking pleasure in posting stories/videos that show the potential GOP candidates up for what they are (liars, idiots, hypocrites, bigots, racists, etc), I think the more blogs that do that the better. Also, as I mentioned last night, I was persuaded by someone who contacted me that it’s better not to completely ignore the birther idiots, much as I’d like to, but – occasionally – produce the facts/links that debunk their nonsense.

But the blog will always largely be about celebrating this Presidency, I guarantee that! Thanks for the feedback Martha, I appreciate it.

Thank you for the warning. I have no intention of ignoring your warning. I don’t care to see anything dealing with Newt and his third wife.

I was going to say I have two words for that: “Stepford Wives!” And I see Debra and others are on the same page!!! Does that show my age?

Nope. Remember they remade the stepford wives with Nicole Kidman (I didn’t know there was an original until tonight) so you can pretend to be a youngstar like me! 🙂

Eye of Newt is too ridiculous, sandalous and freaky to get the nomination. Brings back too many bad memories of those terrible months of the Lewinsky Affair. It’s a blight on the American conscience, no one will vote for a guy who may instigate a repeat, no matter how much he denies a recurrence: “Oh, Im 67, I have two children and grandchildren…I’m a changed man, God has forgiven me, blah, bla-blah, blah, blah, blah, blah……”

I think this kind of information serves a very useful purpose. It provides us with ammo we can use when we begin canvassing voters for PBO’s 2012 campaign. Yes, I realize that these potential candidates are reprehensible, but I do think we need to know where the potential GOP candidates stand on the issues, and who is funding their campaigns and video messages. I see Newt and Callista are very proud of displaying the info that Citizens United helped pay for this particular video. I also notice that Callista drives off in a natural gas powered vehicle at the end of the video which leads me to wonder how much in the pocket of the energy companies will Ol’ Newt be if he becomes POTUS. Will he only promote more production of natural gas, or will he promote more production AND try to de-regulate the energy industry so that they’re not accountable for protecting us and the environment? We saw how Barton wasn’t ashamed of shilling for, and apologizing to, BP last year. We can only fight effectively if we’re armed with accurate info about our opponents and their intentions. Just saying.

I agree, Maji. Know thy enemy as the saying goes. We have to be armed with the truth. As for Newt and his mistress-turned-wife — gaaaaag!

No wonder they are jealous of Obama. They have to deal with these weird-looking plastic marionettes while he has the real deal.

One has to try really hard to be a *younger* woman who looks like she’s his contemporary! We know that he has issues with women, so what convinced her to have issues with herself?
