pawlenty the pure

Today was a traumatic day in my life: I found myself believing a Freeper/Nutjob/Birther/Wingnut/Fruitloop theory. 😯

The theory? Tim Pawlenty is distancing himself from the birther wing of his party to make himself look semi-smart and respectable….

(Note: Pawlenty doesn’t take the President’s word for it, only CNN’s)

…. but Donald Chump – who is as serious about actually running for the Presidency as Bo Obama – is doing the dirty birther work for the party, while getting himself some desperately needed publicity at the same time.

You know, as 2012 approaches, stir up the racist birther stuff again, get it in the news, fan the hate-filled flames. And all the time Pawlenty keeps his distance – and, so, isn’t dismissed as a nutjob by independents – but reaps the ‘benefits’.

For once, I think a Freeper/Nutjob/Birther/Wingnut/Fruitloop theory makes sense. Although, there are plenty of non-nutjobs drawing the same conclusion.

Classy, eh?

Can you imagine any of the current Republican candidates making the speech that Obama made last night? Can you imagine any of them as Commander in Chief? Would you trust any of them with the lives of our soldiers? Could any of them be a global inspiration or bring the kind of goodwill that President Obama has brought? Would a small child in Brazil walk up to any of these potential presidents and feel comfortable putting his arms around him/her as though this president were his own? Can you imagine the people of Libya trusting any of them enough to ask for US planes to fly in their airspace? Would young people all over this county flock to see any of them and treat him/her like a hero?

These are all just throw-away candidates. There is no-one who can match up to Obama so they are just tossing the garbage into the ring.

Tim Pawlenty panders to his audience, the things he says on Fox Lies are more extreme than how he presents himself on Morning Joke, and then again different from how he presents himself on The Rachel Maddow Show. He is slippery, boring, and another spend and charge it to the credit card Republican. I doubt he is going anywhere, but will certainly add to the collective garbage being dumped into the public square by the Republicans.

Morning Joke, I like that phrase, yeah, I’ll be using that one 🙂
