do we use the term ‘squirmish’? well?

Squeamish: easily made to feel sick, faint, or disgusted, esp. by unpleasant images, such as the sight of blood.

Squirm: wriggle or twist the body from side to side, esp. as a result of nervousness or discomfort

Skirmish: an episode of irregular or unpremeditated fighting, esp. between small or outlying parts of armies or fleets.

Mix them together and you get, well, ‘squirmish’ …. true, it’s not in any official dictionary yet, and has absolutely no meaning, but hey, this is the Half-termer speaking.

😆

To piggyback on the Brian Williams interview, President Obama also sat down with Diane Sawyer for an interview today transcript is available here – http://abcnews.go.com/Politics/president-obama-sits-talk-diane-sawyer-situation-libya/story?id=13250364&page=1

FWIW he also was interviewed by Erica Hill, but I believe she’s on CBS in the morning, so that will probably air tomorrow morning.

“Squirmish”? A skirmish that makes you squirmy, maybe? Explain, please!

Poor Greta, to be forced to interview this creature on a regular basis and act like she isn’t a raving idiot. Guess we have to make room in the dictionary…again.

This woman is an illiterate. Whatever elementary, middle, high school and colleges she attended for her so called “journalism” degree have got to be cringing in shame and embarrassment that she was on the roster.

Actually Chip, the thrilla from Wasilla is correct. According to Urban Dictionary (a far distant cousin of Webster’s Dictotionary)

    Squirmish

    n.

A verbal stoush between two or more parties that is so petty, pointless, misinformed or ill-conceived that it makes witnesses wince with embarrassment, or so uncomfortable that they don’t know where to look.

    or

physically manifesting an emotional reaction to something perceived as disgusting; recoiling uncomfortably from something perceived as offensive; combination of squirmy and squeamish

To use in a sentence, I get squirmish every time Sarah Palin utters a word because I know she is the dumbest most vapid being on this earth:)

      😆

One of the 976 sites (can’t remember which!) that reported this today mentioned that ‘squirmish’ shows up in, well, non-standard online dictionaries, as a merger of squeamish and skirmish – but the half-termer clearly meant to say ‘skirmish’, in a derogatory sense, because she was criticizing the President for not calling the Libya ‘intervention’ a “war”.

But yeah, she makes me feel positively squirmish every time she opens her mouth!

She is like a child, when people have to constantly make up reasons why she is saying what she is sayiing some sort of way. The writing on her hand, refudiate, blood libel, etc. I’m appalled that McGramps chose her as his #2..but far more shocked that an actual state of these United States chose her as their governor.

If Palin would unstop her ears and listen, she would know what the President have to say. But because you listen doesn’t mean you will understand, you have to have a brain to understand, and more and more we see that this idiot doesn’t have a brain to understand a darn thing. If it wasn’t for wanting to defeat this black man in the White House, any other time Republicans considering Sarah Palin as a canidate for President would be a joke.

I had the same response. I refuse to engage in any audio/visual of the woman.

      Just will. not. do. it.

She creates such dissonance between my brain, ears and eyes that I momentarily develop central audio processing disorder syndrome if I listen/watch.

Refuse to do that to my mind/ears/eyes.

They are simply not use to it and cannot adjust.

I refuse to abuse my senses like that.

      They deserve better.

      Will. not. do. it.

I for one like the word! And I think I’m going to start using it regularly, as in: Whenever I hear Sarah Palin speak, I feel squirmish.

She is a waste of human skin. Vile, or if you rearrange the letters of that word…evil, I think both are befitting her heinous.

The GOP is so tone death to the way they make even their own voters feel ‘squirmish’

Folks in WI are going to lead a revolt national revolt that is already spreading to OH, and MI and IN.

Those state congressional folks in WI…think they are above the law, and

It is just outrageous that a elected official on the tax rolls would say to another tax roll salary person who also votes voter…unbeliiiiiievable:

I struggle to meet my bills right now… The benefits that were offered to me as a congressman don’t even compare to the benefits that you get as a state employee. I just experienced that myself. They’re not nearly as good.”

    — Rep. Sean Duffy (R-WI), quoted by the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel, defending his congressional salary and benefits to a constituent who responded, “But $174,000 — that’s … three times what I make.”
