muppet show update

Thank you lookingglassjourney 🙂

Gallup: Mike Huckabee tops a large list of potential GOP presidential candidates in current support for the party’s 2012 nomination, with 19% of Republicans saying they are most likely to back him. This gives Huckabee a slight edge over Mitt Romney (15%). Sarah Palin is now at 12% after receiving 16% support in three prior Gallup polls. Newt Gingrich is the only other potential candidate who registers double-digit support. Sixteen percent of Republicans currently have no preference.

Love it. This is what the GOP sounds like when they speak. The Party of Mahna Mahna. 😀

To be honest, lookingglassjourney, the GOP has never uttered anything half as sensible as “Mahna Mahna” – so, maybe we’re being unfair to The Muppets?

Well, at least The Muppets made it entertaining. The GOP is just boring, but somewhere in me still causes me to laugh at them.

I mean what can they say that actually makes sense? It’s just jibber-jabber to me. Those listed in the poll above are very good examples of jibber-jiabber. Mahna mahna. LOL.

As a Minnesotan I think it’s hilarious that Pawlenty ranks below Bachmann. He must be livid! Most people I talk to think she’s nuts. Although I find it funny, it really is a sad state of affairs. Bachmann is an embarrassment. At the state fair a couple of years ago there was quite a selection of crop art (art made from corn kernels) inspired by Michelle Bachmann. “Patron Saint of Wingnuts” is my personal favorite 🙂

There’s a nice selection in this link.

Fellow Minnesotan here…they both are embarrassing to me. But Bachmann leaves me shaking my head, and challenges my general perceptions of Minnesotans. Minnesota keeps sending her back to Washington…..DOH! Do you remember where you were when the bridge fell? What a surreal and horrible catastrophe that was, on Mr. Pawlenty’s watch.

I know Sue. I’m not a native born Minnesotan but have lived here a couple of decades now and have never thought I would see anyone as bad as Bachmann representing the state.

I do remember the bridge collapse of course and how heart-wrenching that was. Just another example of the stupidity of de-funding everything important.

The only thing keeping us from becoming another Wisconsin right now is Governor Dayton. I think God every day when I think about what would have happened if he had lost. We now have someone with veto power to keep these Republicans from trampling on our rights.
