It is so rare that we come upon people who touch us in such positive and uplifting ways…

So effortlessly graceful, intrinsically decent and so genuine and unaffected even as they wade through the muck they are forced to contend with; and overcome in the most dignified manner every baseless attack and attempt to drag them down …

Barack and Michelle Obama are the epitome of solid and incomparable and in only the best of ways…

Mrs. Obama will join Spellman President Beverly Daniel Tatum on stage, that will be a truly impressive event. Two brilliant, intelligent women sharing the stage will certainly be a memory that the young women graduating will cherish forever.

I know this will be one graduation Atlanta will never forget. To have First Lady of the United States of America, Mrs. Michelle Obama as a guest on the campus of one of the best Female Colleges in the United States, Spelman College. This will be historic, it will be a point in time for all to refer to going forward. When members of my family talk about my sister’s grandson’s college graduation last year. It is always refered to as Hampton University where the President Obama gave the Keynote Speech. I am so happy for all those who will be completing this part of their education.

I am an Alumna of Spelman College and my daughter is a graduating Senior. We are so excited and happy. Looking forward to finally meeting her and possibly getting a hug! Hope she brings the girls and Mom. Debbie Allen and her sister Phylicia Rashad will also receive honorary degrees. Should be a fun and uplifting day.

Awesome, please share your experiences with us after the fact. Nothing like putting an exclamation point on an already proud and special day. Hope you get that hug.
