‘mondobama’

NYT photographer Stephen Crowley’s personal video essay (‘Mondobama’) on the President’s visit to Brazil.

“It’s hard for the 13 members of the press pool, who spent most of the 49 hours in Brazil waiting in vans or in a subterranean holding room, to grasp the context of the events taking place around them. We followed in the “bubble” — 15 cars back in the motorcade — to two speeches and a luncheon toast with President Dilma Rousseff.”

(It’s only about a minute long, and is mainly of his endless travels in the press van – it’s not, after all, a glamorous life!)

they are discussing the “birther” issue again on The View.
Hasselbeck has the audacity to say that she “doesn’t doubt” whether President Obama is a citizen 😮 🙄 (does she suffer from selective memory or does someone need to remind of ” why not remember what she said yesterday 🙄 ) and Whoopy(thank god for her) said that NOBODY has asked the former Presidents to show their birth certificates.

Joyce again stoop up for President Obama said why wasn’t Bush asked to show his library card 😉

they went on to show pictures of the President with him mom and dad and so forth

I would like to thank everyone who wrote to the view blasting them for their handling of Donald trump. They just came out today and put the president’s birth certificate on the screen for the whole world to see, and some pictures of him and his mom Ann and his dad. They really came thru and they handled the whole situation well even Elizabeth wondered why republicans put their focus on this, and Joy asked why they never asked Bush to show his library card. So I forgive them and whoopi still pointed out that they never asked any white president to show their birth certificate. And the audience applauded them. Just wanted to update everyone in case u don’t watch the view and u were upset with them yesterday.

Barbara Walters never had any integrity and isn’t likely to acquire any sense of it so late in her life…

She is pushing for any republican to get back in the White House and it has absolutely nothing to do with competence, ability or love of country…

This is a very fickle, narcissistic woman in her 80’s with long held stereotypes about a variety of things…

President Obama, the First Lady and indeed this family in the White House throw her for a loop…

For Barbara, the extent of true equality and her claim to embrace it starts and ends specifically with a torrid secret affair with a married colored man who was the first black senator – an affair she only disclosed 30 years later to sell a book…

This is who and what we push as one of America’s “legends” and we wonder why and how we lost our souls and bearings…

Why doesn’t Elizabeth speak for herself….instead of pointing her finger at “Republicans”, she should point her finger back at herself. Piece of work that one!

I am glad they readdressed this, I don’t doubt they were yielding to viewer pressure. ABC lost me back in December, due Barbara Walters lack of journalistic credibility. They have treated both POTUS and FLOTUS disrespectfully and with IMO, bias. GMA has provided Palin and her ilk, both a platform and a currency that is fraudulent. They have lost my respect.

I sent them a note too with a link to The Obama Diary entry and the Maui News article. It really feels good to know that they got hammered for allowing Donald Trump to come on the show and talk that garbage. I wonder who did the research for the Trump interview. They look pretty pathetic right now.

Good job Me4obama. I emailed Anderson Cooper and the congretional black causcus for their reporting. Anderson pose as someone who reports the horror of the ppl, then last night he opened up with the cost of the missiles being used to protect the ppl that pisseed me off.

I shared this little quickie on my face book. A lot of people think the press people who follow the President have a glamourous life. They don’t think of the many hours of hurry up and wait. The stress of travel, the hotel, the food, the lost items, the language and some of the personal concerns that I won’t get into. This little video does show the hustle and constant movement for maybe four or five good shots.

I don’t watch Anderson Cooper anymore am in bed by then or hear reading some nice comments to sooth my mind. I read somewhere that Msnbc is loosing viewers to CNN during the Libya conflict and Japan and you wanna know why because Msnbc from morning to night they’ve been blasting PBO on Libya and many people like me will not put up with that. So I have been tuning in CNN not MSNBC when I get a chance.

I’ve been tuning into CNN for the same reason. I’d stayed away from that channel (CNN) for months, and then couldn’t believe the nonsense on MSNBC, so went looking for news.

So Bachmann is running for Prez? LMAO

    • March 24, 2011 at 12:06 pm

LOL, I sincerely hope she’s just started an “exploratory committee” or whatever it’s called these days rather than declare her candidacy outright. I can’t even imagine what she’d do to the Republican party and herself during the opening debates.

Me4Obama….I think I sent the View three emails yesterday. But what they did today was a first step, but Barbara should apologize to the President and to us for allowing Donald Chump to come up there spreading his racists lies.

Don’t hold your breath anniebella for the apology but Barbara will soon be on my blackout list if she doesn’t straighten out her views. You mess with this president you are messing with me girl. Even my Family knows the rules that you don’t say anything critical of my president in front of me or else you will here from Mwa.

What exactly is the point of these people in the media? They seem to think the whole thing is about them, their comfort, their entertainment, their enjoyment.

I am happy to have seen the first part of the reaction on The View this morning. I purposely tuned in to see if they would come out and say something about this issue. I appreciate mostly what Whoopi said at the end. That is the point. I still have no respect for Barbara. Sherri was trying to put this on a point where she is just not knowledgable to go there.
and Elizabeth just can’t keep her facts straight no matter what. However, I too sent in an email to the ladies yesterday and ask them why not do some real homework. This is how we will bring some type of sense to this type of behavior of these people who allow people to come on their shows and spew lies and hate. I was always told by my mother to go to the person and ask the question. Trump says he is smart(infact he brags about it) so call the Presient and ask him. “Mr. President, this is Donald Trump. I am thinking about running for President of the United States in 2012, and I do not want to waste my time or yours, or my staff dealing with this crazy question about your birthplace. So, Mr. President, were you born in the United States of America.?” Now that is a real question from a real respectful man, if he is one.

I want to applaude those of you who sent E-mails to the View etc. Of course, I didn’t watch the View, because I was at work. Great job Folks, Grest Job 🙂

But moving right along here, In regard to the Media, naysayers, I sometimes think that they are just not use to having a Black President, and It probably makes them feel Insecure, defensive and negative. Maybe they feel like Obama Is a threat to them. Well, of course their are some that are just plain old Racist. Then their also those, that don’t realize that they are Racist, until we call It out. They are so use to treating blacks as second class citizens, they are just not aware, you think??? It’s like when they see a few blacks talking together, on your job, or what have you, It’s like they’ll come over and chime In the conversation. Anyway, I too am like the most of you, I’m so sick of hearing all about Anti-Obama chatter. It’s like can “SOMEBODY”, “ANYBODY”, In the Media, tell some truths about our President?? Yes, I’ve tuned MSNBC out also, and especially that Morning Joe, YUK. I too have tuned In to CNN, they are just a wee bit better, but that Wolf Blitzer, OMG, drives me to “DRINK”. He’s PESTY. He doesn’t take “NO” for an answer. He “HOUNDS” you to death. He goes on and on. I tell him, “ENOUGH” all ready. DANG!!!! I tell ya’ I just go get me a glass of wine, after I’ve yelled at him until I’m down right tired Lol. Wow, excuse my rant folks, I just got carried away, didn’t I ??? so sorry 😦

HZ….If I was the President and Trump call me to ask me if I was born in this country, do you know what I would do? I would hang up on Trump. The only thing he would hear is “CLICK”. This question about Barack Obama’s birth place have been answer so many time, it’s just that these racists haters refuse to believe it because deep down it’s not about where he was born, but the color of his skin. The ex-Governor of Hawaii, who was Republican, and this Governor said that they had seen Barack’s birth certificate and he was indeed born in Hawaii. This comes from a Republican Governor now. Like I said Jesus Christ himself could come down and tell those people that Barack Obama was indeed born in this country and they would not believe him. Back to Barbara Walter, she should be ashame of herself. I expect better from her.

But is it not true, that because his Mother, Stanley Ann was a U.S. citizen, that Barack could have been born anywhere in the world, he would still be considered a U.S. citizen. John McCain was not born on U.S. soil, Mitt Romney was born in Mexico.

I think it is long past time to refuse the birther nomenclature. We should not accept the less incendiary terminology of birther, becauses the term obscures reality. It is racist, and is being manipulated for nefarious reasons. Anyone willing to play that card should be openly acknowledged for playing the race card. In addition, it is alie, and a means of manipulating the fear based tendencies of the lesser formed humans amongst us. Rat bastards!

      My Jesus Weeps!

President Obama is more like the Jesus I came to understand, than any of these blasphemous, bible pounding hypocrites. Jesus would ask that I forgive them……I am trying, I am not there yet.
