good morning, people

President Obama walks to the Oval Office after returning from Latin America with his family, , March 23

The President has no public events scheduled for today, but I’m guessing he might be kind of busy behind doors.

If you have any links/news post them here!

    Dear Chip,

I have been here every day ( several times a day, really). I enjoy being right with you all as we watch our lovely first family as they serve as the “Ambasadors of our great country”…. We wish others would get to know them. That they don’t is their loss ! Thank you so very much for keeping us in touch with our blessed President and his lovely family!

I will have to admit that I agree with the expressed feelings of one note.. I too, breathed a sigh of relief when I saw the post of their arrival “home”.. May they be kept in safety and sheilded from all of the hate!!

And good morning Fred and all the rest!

Good morning Dottie! I’m relieved they’re home safely too, although it must be nice for them to get away from all the DC madness at times. They were magnificent ambassadors in South and Latin America, adore them.

I’ll just share a thought that came into my mind today. Have you ever had a wonderful opportunity that you turned your back on for some reason only to look back on it and kick yourself? Maybe a special person was interested in you but you decided they weren’t attractive enough, or cool enough, someone told you they weren’t good enough for you, maybe you thought your family wouldn’t approve, only to meet them years later and realize what a idiot you were to reject them. Maybe you turned down a job that would have been the perfect fit (which you found out later). Maybe you kick yourself for not putting your money into Apple when it was a brand new company. Who knows. Today I got to thinking about something I told my grown kids when they teased me about my total enthusiasm for the President. I told them I didn’t want to miss one minute of this historic moment in time. I was going to relish it all. I am old enough now to know an amazing, historic thing when I see it. So anyway, today I was feeling sorry for all the people that will wake up one day after the President’s two terms ๐Ÿ™‚ and realize they spent the whole time either ignoring this world changing period or rejecting it all. Which finally leads me to thank Chipsticks for this blog because here I can do a lot of daily “relishing”.

I completely agree with you – I am savoring every second, and completely invested in this man’s progress through life. We are witnessing history.I have no doubt about that at all.

Beautifully expressed, CH! I am a little embarrassed to admit that I can so identify with the first part of your musings, BUT this presidency won’t be one of those occasions. And you know what? I didn’t/don’t even have to think twice about it! So far, I’m having the best time I’ve ever had ‘in politics’.

cuphalfful that has been my motivation from the time I read his book when he was running for the US Senate. I had read something years ago when I was a young teacher that we must take care of all the children because God might just send us the ONE that the world would really need to guide us forward.
I always hope that the child would be one of my students or even one of my children. I read the President’s books and listen to him speak and if he is not the one to everyone in this country he is to me. I pray each day for God blessings and protection for President Barack Obama and the United States of America.

Dear Cuphalffull, Thank you for sharing what I feel. Being on the planet at this moment in history is hard to describe. I’m just glad to wake up every morning to realize Barack Obama is the President. It’s a comforting thought. The times are desperate and intense. But a man for the times is in charge. I too am “older” and relish each minute of it. And thanks so much to Chipsticks and others for providing such a meeting place for many of us who recognize the significance of it all. Peace, J

In truth, Chipsticks (and BWD) are among the ones sent to gather us together to help us share our appreciation of Barack! ๐Ÿ˜†
I’m gradually finding more and more of these ‘ambassadors’ as 2012 approaches, and the way each one shares seems to fill a different need in the way I learn. I feel blessed. [Here’s another of my favourites – http://www.immasmartypants.blogspot.com/%5D

    Hello everyone,

Just logged on after getting in from work. All of you are such wonderful, thoughtful, smart, loving and spiritual people; ably led by our dear Chipsticks. I love reading all comments. I always leave here feeling informed, uplifted, and amused. I alwways knew that there were many people who loved and appreciated our President and his family, but were maybe reluctant to say so because all of the hate out there. So glad that we have a place to meet.

The president looks as gorgeous and GQ as always in this picture, but I noticed his clenched jaw. This is always a sure sign that there is something going on that he is p…ed about. Somebody better watch out. The Boss is back.

CEB…thanks for the chuckle “the boss is back” elicited. Today with the tired business of our MSM and the View, and the thought of Michelle Bachmann considering running for President, my mood was very quickly going south of frustrated. You pulled me back from the edge. I love everyone here, and although I try hard to keep an even keel…..somedays it is only by the thoughts and words from the good people here that I am able to maintain that balance. Appreciated the touch of your humor.
